Simon Says Shabby Chic Challenge :-) + DT CALL !!

A big thank you to all those who entered our Hot Chocolate challenge last week, they really warmed our hearts :-) All choccy and marshmallows ,,, yummy :-) and a BIG thanks to Joey for joining us in the Designer Spotlight :-) x x

This week's challenge is "SHABBY CHIC"

Shabby Chic is "showing signs of wear and tear, distressing, whites, worn or bleached out pastels, rustic" (courtesty of Wikipedia !!). So basically ,,, tatty !! :-)

Heidi is giving away the usual $25 free shopping spree in the Simon Says Stamp Supertore :-)Some lovely new Penny Black stamps have arrived ,, lovely Valentine ones ,,, and loads of other new cool stuff too ,, :-)

Don't forget we have a DT call too :-) We are looking for 2 new people to join us on our fab n friendly team :-) Are you interested ?? then check out the Challenge blog for details :-)

So ,, onto my card :-) I must admit, I wasn't especially looking forward to this one ,,I almost threw a sickie :-) But a challenge is a challenge right !!! It is no secret that Timea is the Queen of Chic and is on the Lets Get Shabby DT ,, so that is where I went to have a snoop and get some ideas of what to do with my 'creation' ha ha :-) So thanks Timea for all the help with this one :-)

I have only made one Shabby Chic card before ,,,and it was HORRID ,,, so ,, let me know what you think of this one ,,, I think it is a definite improvement on my last effort ! :-)

I used my new Tilda's which I pre-ordered before Christmas :-) These will soon be available to pre order in Simon says Stamp Store

I followed Denise's fab sketch on the Stamp Something Challenge for my card :-) Tilda was masked so I could sit her on the piano :-) I coloured her with copics and paper pieced her dress :-) The paper is Magnolia ,,, but you can hardly see it ,, shame eh ! :-( I also used a little manuscript paper too, I distressed everything with antique linen ink. The lace and organza ribbon is from my stash and the flower is prima which have been sprayed with pearl glimmer mist :-)
i added loads of pearls and a little stickles and a lovely charm that was a gift from Heidi ages ago to finish it off :-)

The DT have made some fabulous creations for your inspiration so pop over to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog to see them :-)

I am also entering this card into the following challenges ;-)

Stamp Something Challenge,,,Sketch

Corrosive Challenge ,,,,,, Distressing,, lots of that here :-)

Daring Cardmakers ,,,,, Birthstone for January Garnet,, I used that colour :-)

Cupcake Craft challenge ,,,,Going Girly :-) Well this is girly eh ! all lace and pearls ! :)

Also I have a blog candy sponsored by Heidi at Simon Says Stamp if you would like to take a peek ,, it is a the top of my blog :-)

You've done a much better job than me, this is gorgeous.
