Simon Says All Stitched Up ! :-) AND Fabulous news !!

It seems many of you like a recipe, thanks to everyone who joined us last week ,,I really enjoyed coming to see all your creations,, now do you like sewing as much as 'cooking' ?? The theme this week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge is 'Sewing= Faux or Real ,, the choice is yours :-)
We have someone very special in our designer Spotlight this week ,, her name is Greta and she has recently celebrated her 11 th birthday :-) She has made a card for our challenge almost every week and her talent is amazing. Please pop over and leave her a comment,, am sure she will appreciate them :-)She shares a blog with her mum Lisa and you can see her work here :-)

We also have some BIG news to tell you ;-) Kim Piggot has agreed to join us on the DT :-) I am sure you have all visited Cards By Kim
she is the most amazingly talented designer and we are all looking forward to working with her :-) Welcome aboard Kim :-) x x

I have just downloaded this template from Papertrey Inc
this one is called Card Couture. I must admit I found it a bit tricky to make as the pieces didn't seem to fit very well so I did have to make some adjustments ,,, hope it will be easier next time !
I cut the pieces out of plain white card and used Funky Fairys Papercrafts Gorjuss Gingham and It's so Distressing Vol 5. I chickened out of using real sewing and went for the easy option of Faux ! :-)

I used some images from the Yummy in my tummy magnolia set. Chef Edwin is lovely eh :-) I coloured him with copics and sat him on the cutlery,, not very comfy is it :-/ !! I used my new Martha Stewart borgder punch for the fancy edge . This one is called
Martha Stewart ARCH LATTICE Edge Punch

The DT have made some amazing creations for you this week so pop over to the Challenge blog to see them and please don't forget to leave them a comment :-) You may find candy along the way so it is worth the hop :-)
As usual Heidi from Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $25 shopping spree and she will pay for the shipping too !! :-)

I am entering this into the Roses on Paper Challenge whose theme this week is also Stitching :-) this is the first time I am entering this one :-) I am also entering it into the new Simon Says Stamp competition on the Papercrafts Planet site too :-) There is a fab prize of a Simon says Stamp Exclusives set AND a 2 week invitation to be in our Designer Spotlight :-)
I am also entering it into the Magnolia Down Under Challenge whose theme is anything but a card :-) This is my first time there too :-)

OK now for some candy :-) This Chef Edwin will be available soon in the Simon Says Stamp store but I am not sure when it will be available ,,, sooo this week the winner will get to choose the Magnolia stamp of their choice :-) For further details see the post at the top of my blog :-)

Yay, so glad you've come to share your talent with us over at MDUC!! This project is the bee's knee's. Edwin doesn't get nearly enough love, but then you come and make something this perfect and kind of make up for all of us Edwin slackers. He looks fantastic on top of the silverware and this template looks like the perfect recipe folder, or just your masterful hand using it? Will have to see for myself, lol. Thanks for playing with us at MDUC, hope to see you play along next time around!!
