House Mouse 'Santa Hats '

It's time for a new House Mouse and Friends Challenge. This time the fabulous and super talented Sue D is the hostess and the theme is 

Anything Goes 

 + the option of

 SHOW US SOME SNOW

I used a lovely new Santa Hats Cling Stamp and made a shaker card. 

I coloured the little mouse and robins with copic markers and then masked the image before using a Falling Snow Stencil, Embossing Paste and Prisma Glitter for the snowstorm ;-)

For the ombre background I used Faded Jeans, Stormy Sky and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks, splattered with water and then used a Stampendous Stencil for the snowy design.  

and here is where I have a confession to make. I had made this card below first and wasn't very happy with how I coloured up the robins especially, so I bought an online class from Kit and Clowder to learn how to colour a robin better ;-) I learned a lot of new tecnhiques and really love how the texture of the feathers on the robins above look when compared with the ones below. What do you think? 

I finished the insides of both cards, makes it so much easier come Christmas when it comes to writing on them and posting them out ;-)

Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit!

How are you all? I hope all is well XX sending special hugs to friends who need them right now xx not mentioning names but I am thinking of 2 in particular, both are on DT's with me xx 

I am here to share a card and tag I made using the fabulous new Simon Says Stamp November 'Thanks and Leaves' Card Kit 

I started by blending Spiced Marmalade and  Bundled Sage Distress Oxide Inks over the background and then stamped the leaft designs over the top, using various browns and green inks. I used a Large Tag Die and used the same inks for the background, I then stamped the text using a Simon's Dark Chocolate Ink Pad. I rubbed some Gold Gilding Wax over the butterfly and popped it on there using glossy accents to hold it securely. I then popped a 'Thankful' sentiment on the front.

I went around the edges with Gold Embossing Powder and also heat embossed the sentiment on the inside.

and I gold heat embossed a design on the front of the envelope too. 

and I made a little tag too. This tag is in the kit. 

and this is the November 'Thanks and Leaves' Card Kit ! Isn't it GORGEOUS!! There are still a few left so if you would like one you'd better be quick! They will sell out in no time! :-)
