Simon Says STAMPtember® Birthday Borders!

Oh my goodness I can hardly believe that another STAMPtember® has spun around so quickly!!! STAMPtember® is a special time of year at Simon Says Stamp. It is a month long celebration of all things crafty and a time when lots of stamping companies come together to create something AWESOME!!

I received a lovely parcel of STAMPtember® goodies and inside it was a gorgeous new Birthday Borders Stamp and Die Set, which I am sure will sell like hot cakes! A craft room 'MUST HAVE' set!! I couldn't wait to rip open the packaging!!

For the background I used a Simon's Exclusive Stitched Rectangle Die and used it cut some Watercolor Paper, I then dipped this into a puddle of Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink and then splattered with Dylusions London Blue Ink Spray. 

I used Memento Tuxedo Ink to stamp the candles and coloured with Copic Markers. I then added Star Dust Stickles  to the flames. I used Simon's Steel Navy Embossing Powder for the sentiment banner 

and I finished the inside 

and a special card deserves a special matching envelope ;-)

I used a House Mouse Carrying Candy Canes Cling Stamp and made a simple Christmas card to add to my box! I am hoping to be better prepared this year ;-) 

As I am sure you all know, these little meeces have a special placed reserved just for them in a little corner of my heart ;-) I have such a great admiration for Ellen Jareckie, the designer behind these images. Ellen is a wildlife rehabilitation specialist and her intimate knowledge of these little critters really does show in her artwork, These little mice all have their own personality, don't you think!! ;-)

I coloured the image with Copic Markers and then used a Simon's Exclusive Falling Snow Stencil, White Embossing Paste and a sprinkling of Prisma Glitter to add texture and sparkle. The sentiment is from an older Newtons Nook Christmas stamp set
