Simon Says: Anything Goes On The Wednesday Challenge

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week the challenge is

Anything Goes

This week we are showcasing Lawn Fawn Products You don't have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

I used a Winter Fox Stamp and Die Set a Stitched Envelope Die and a Perfectly Plaid Winter 6x6 Paper Pack and made a card and coordinating gift card envelope.

I love this little fox, isn't he a cutie in the wintry landscape, brrrr ;-)

The little Stitched Envelopes are so quick and easy to make I decided to make a few more. I think they are perfect for popping in gift cards, or just a note to say Hi or whatever! ;-)

The die doesn't have the holes punched, I did those with a pokey tool and used the dot on the 'i' for the eyelets.

My foot is doing much better now. I am managing quite well on the crutches. The worst thing is that everything takes so much longer to do! ;-)

Mod Ornament

The countdown is most definitely ON!! There are only 59 days left to Christmas and I am sure that most, if not all of us have made a start on making a few cards to send out. If you have been joining in with our challenges throughout the year then you no doubt have a lovely box full by now :-)

Simon Says: It's Autumn On The Monday Challenge!

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Treat Bag/Box Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

Autumn

Autumn is such a beautiful time of year, the changing colors on the trees are fabulous, the air is cool and the crunch of leaves underfoot brings back lovely memories from childhood. We will be looking forward to seeing whatever autumn inspired creations you make!

I made a card using a new Simon Says Stamp 'Winter Flowers' Stamp Set and a Woodgrain Background Stamp designed by Tammy Tutterow for Spellbinders.

Even though I do say so myself, I quite like this one ;-)

The flower is pretty generic and can be used for everything, in any color! I decided to make it in an Autumn pale orange/yellow using Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink, For the leaves I used Forest Moss.

For the background and the base card I stamped the Woodgrain Background Stamp with Pumice Stone Distress Ink and then continued with the same ink to make the background a little darker. I then used a Dot fade Stencil and embossing paste to create some texture and while the paste was still wet I sprinkled with Vintage Platinum Distress Dust, oh my goodness, it brought the whole card to life! so sparkly and pretty!
