Something For The Boys

I used this super cute 'Best Dad' Stamp and Coordinating Die Set from Clearly Besotted.

I love shaker cards and think that this turned out particularly well. My Dad wouldn't be into fussy and fancy cards but I think this will give him endless hours of pleasure lol ,,, only joking ;-)

I didn't want to just throw the die cut circle away so I made a quick and easy tag, his gift will be a nautical themed T shirt and swimming shorts set for when he comes here for a holiday at the end of this month. He never reads this blog so I know the secret is safe ;-)

I also made a quick and easy card using the same set. I used the MISTI tool for the stamping and LOVE it! the boat and sails needed 2 inkings and I would never have got them lined up so perfectly

Sorry I haven't been around very much these past few days, we are having a new kitchen fitted and have been in a terrible mess, it's almost finished now thank goodness. Just in time for my lovely friend and teamie Heather, who is coming over on Friday, to cook some lovely dinners for me ;-) haha only joking Heather, I will help you ;-)

It's time for a new theme over on the House Mouse and Friends Challenge and Heather is the hostess, she chose

I thought as she will be here for a holiday and we will be floating around the pool on lilo's then these Teacup Sailing mousies having fun on the water would be perfect ;-)

I first saw this image on Sue's blog and just HAD to by it! Aren't they CUTE ! I also CASE'd Sue's card, I loved the shape so I had to copy. CLICK HERE to see it

I used a Wave Stencil and coloured using a B21 and BG10 Copic markers and an air brush. I then used white embossing paste to create the surf. I coloured Monica's cup in green as I thought she was looking a bit sea sick ;-)
