House Mouse 'Trim the Tree'

Hi all :-) the last 2 weeks have flown by and it is now time for a new theme over on the House Mouse and Friends Challenge. This time it is Dorte's turn to choose,,,,

ANYTHING GOES !!

I used a new 'Trim the Tree' Cling stamp and made a Christmas card to add to my box,,, which is already filling up quite nicely :-)

This card is really quite sparkly IRL but it doesn't show up so well on the piccy, you will just have to take my word for it :-) I used a Wink Of Stella Glitter Pen on the ribbons and blueberries and Star Dust Stickles on the snow and snowflake :-)

I am keeping my Christmas cards all fairly flat for easy posting :-)

Simon Says Stamp Love Fest 'Die Crazy' Challenge

I am lucky enough to already have a few of the new Spring 2014 products that were released yesterday so of course I used them ! :-)

This one is similar to one I made for the Spring Hop yesterday, bright colours and balloons though there is a variation :-) For this one I used a Copic Air Brush to spray the colours through the Bubbles and Bars Stencil. ,,, totally lovin' these dies and stencil ! :-) This really was a quick and easy card once I had the idea ,,,, that took the most time :-)

To join in with the Love Fest Challenges you do need to be a member of Splitcoast Stampers, but it's easy to join and well worth it :-)

Simon Says Stamp Spring 2014 Release Blog Hop !!

OOHH I can't tell you how excited I was to be invited to join in with this Simon Says Stamp Spring 2014 Release Blog Hop !! Not only are the products GORGEOUS but I get to play alongside a fabulous line up of super talented designers !! AWESOME !!

We were all allocated a product to showcase and mine happens to be the Bubbles and Bars Stencil ,,, I LOVE IT so retro and funky,, it reminds me a little bit of a beaded curtain :-)

First up is this more sophisticated version for my Mum :-)

I sprayed the stencil with a repositional adhesive and blotted most of it off using a kitchen towel before sticking to some white cardstock. I find this way easier for me that using post it notes or tape. I then used a blending tool to sponge Simon's Exclusive Sea Glass ink before sewing down the lines and adding sequins. I made a little tag using the new 'Mum' Die and Tiny Tags Dies and coordinating Stamp Set. I finished with some crinkle ribbon that was coloured using the same Sea Glass Ink Pad,, love this colour :-)

next up is this bright cheerful birthday card

I sponged Simon's Orange Peel and Apple Green inks and then followed the shape of the stencil to doodle the black lines using a copic multiliner pen and then smothered the centre circles with Star Dust Stickles. I stamped the balloons using the Birthday Balloons stamp set and added some random stamped stars before die cutting them. I used another of the Tiny Tags, threaded some twine through and finished with a few Enamel Dots.
