Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week the challenge is

EMBOSS IT 

Dry Emboss, Heat Emboss or use Embossing Paste :-)

We are showcasing Embossing Folders this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used :-)

It is my Dad's 81st Birthday soon and I made this for him. I used  Tim Holtz Blueprint and Gears embossing folders. I have had this a while and never used it ,,, about time !! :-)

I love Tim's Blueprint range of stamps, I think they are particularly fab for manly cards. Don't look too closely but I had me wonky glasses on and the game piece is glued on a bit off centre. It is well and truly stuck in place with glossy accents so I can't 'udge it over :-)

I really like how this turned out and I hope my Dad does too ,,,, Mum's birthday is on the same day too !!

Simon Says Stamp February 2014 Card Kit Card

Hi all, I am here with another card using the stamps and stuff in the new February 2014 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. Yesterday's was girly( CLICK HERE if you would like to see it) so today I made a more manly one :-)

As many of the stamps in the kit are flowery I dug out a couple of Simon's Exclusive dies and a couple of background stamps to help the card along. I love the pointed feathers dies and think the chevron design is fab for them. 

I will pop a gift card, or some cash inside before I send it :-)

I love these kits, it is like having a birthday every month ! They sell like hot cakes !!

Simon Says Stamp February 2014 Card Kit Card :-)

HAVE YOU SEEN  the new February 2014 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp ?? The big reveal is TODAY !! and it is FABULOUS !! Well Done Kristina and the gang :-)

My kit arrived yesterday so I haven't had much time to play yet,, but I did manage one yesterday evening :-) 

I didn't want to use anything that wasn't in the kit, BUT, it did need a tag on the bouquet so I cheated a bit. Though in all fairness a tag is easy to add yourself even if you don't have a stamp or punch or whatever ,, so it's only a little cheat :-)

I chopped off 1.25cm from the edge and adhered a strip of the paper along the inside edge. This gives a nice effect I think, especially with the sentiment overhanging :-)

I thought this could be a general purpose card and think it would be good for someone in need of a cheer up :-)

I stamped the foliage background and then stamped the flowers onto another piece of the designer paper,cut them out and shaped them. I used some of the new Mustard Seed Distress Glitter for the pollen ,, fab eh ! :-)

 There is (or soon will be) a gallery for all of the cards made using this kit ( there are galleries for all of the kits), so if you have the kits please link your creations so we can pop by to see yours too :-)
