Simon Says ,,,,, Dawny’s Sketch :-)

Hi all and thank you all for joining us for the Fruity Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too :-)

Before moving on to this weeks challenge we would like to ask you if you would please join in with the Cards for Maddy Card Drive. DAWNY'S SKETCH !! :-)

The design team have created some awesome projects for your inspiration, we are all featuring MY FAVORITE THINGS products you don't have to use them to join in but we would love to see them used if you have them :-)

and this is Dawny's FABULOUS sketch !! :-)

I used this very cute ‘Start the day with Whee’ image from MFT.

I stamped with black Memento ink onto Neenah card and used the tag die from the ‘Tag You’re It’ set. I then stamped the grass using a Hero Arts stamp from a ‘Stamp a Garden’ set. I paper pieced her dress and then coloured with Copics and added star dust stickles here and there. The papers are from a Basic Grey PB&J pack and I used a Button Quartet die to make the buttons to hang the swing from ,,,, :-) I cut out several buttons from scraps of white card and then cut the top ones from the papers and then tied a twine bow. I only used the ‘Whee’ part of the sentiment and added a few Dew Drops to finish.

I finished the inside by off stamping the image, coloured with copics and then used a Hero Arts sentiment and an extra button with a twine bow :-)

Cards for Maddy and Melanie Card Drive :-)

Hi all :-) I am here with a special card for a special girl and an appeal :-)

Maddy is a 13 year old girl who is undergoing treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. As you all know this is a terrible disease and the treatment to cure it is very gruelling. Part of this treatment will include a stem cell transplant from her sister, Melanie, and Heidi and Simon, the owners of Simon Says Stamp are collecting cards on their behalf, you can read more about it HERE on the Simon Says Stamp Blog.

I have made this card for Maddy following the fabulous sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge :-)

I cut off half or the front of the card so that the inside is partly visible. I used this very cute Happy Hopper ‘Gone with the Wind’ image, coloured with copics ,I added some Polar White flower soft to his cotton tail and oodles of star dust stickles everywhere I made the cloudy sky with a copic air brush and a B21 marker. The papers are from a My Minds Eye ‘Fly a Kite’ pack ( perfect !!) and I added some Martha Stewart punched butterflies, a Basic Grey cloud transparency, some purple washi tape and a Hero Arts sentiment.

On the inside I made an extra kite on my silhouette cameo, stamped and coloured a Hero Arts Bumble bee and added a felt cloud from Pebbles, the sentiment is also from Hero Arts.

I used this gorgeous In the Meadow image from the Wild Rose Studio :-)

Isn’t she lovely ,,,, :-) I stamped the image twice so that I could layer her hat, coloured with copics and inked the edges with Stormy Sky and Forest Moss distress inks. The papers are from an Annabelle Papers pack and I found some green mesh on my shelves that I thought went quite nicely too :-) I used a French Pastry doily, inked slightly with Victorian Velvet and a Simon Says Stamp Exclusives Bella Bloom die, the leafy fronds are a Marianne Creatibles die and I added some pink satin ribbon, lots of glitter and star dust stickles, gems and a WRS Little Labels sentiment to finish :-)

Hi all :-) I hope you are all enjoying the summer sunshine ,or is that just wishful thinking :-) It is REALLY HOT here in Gozo, we have a heatwave !!

Anyway ,,, this week on the House Mouse and Friends Challenge it is our lovely teamie, Christine’s turn to choose the theme ,,,

Summer Holidays and Summertime Fun :-)

now we all know that these little critters are always getting up to mischief so we are looking forward to seeing what antics they get up to this time :-)

For my card I used this very cute ‘Beary Good Ice Cream’ image that is on the Dancing Queen Unmounted set

I coloured with Copics and added Star Dust Stickles here and there :-) The papers are gorgeous aren’t they !! they are by Amy Tangerine and these are from the Sketchbook pack ,, love em ,, :-) The fab ribbon was in the May Card Kit and is from May Arts., I added some Robins Nest Dew Drops and finished with a Flower Button from Crafty Ribbons and some Liquorice twine that was in the June Card Kit.

I finished the inside using a Hero Arts Kiss the Cook set and the ice cream from the unmounted Gruffie set :-)

I used this very cute House Mouse ‘Berry Full image.

I coloured with Copics, cut out using a Spellbinders Oval and the edges inked with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. The papers are from Magnolia and I used a Simon Says Stamp Circle Border die, coloured with the same distress ink to create the panel. I used some Hemptique twine and a fab Prima wood button from a Sun Kiss pack ( love these) some Robins Nest Dew Drops and the Thanks Berry Much sentiment is also from House Mouse.
