New Stash ,,,and a funny card ,,, shop bought tho !! :-)

I don't normally post piccy's of my new goodies on my blog but I thought I would make an exception today cos I can !! :-) The only thing wrong with this piccy is that my new HM Nature Bites ran off to chat with his friends so he isn't on this ,,, oops ,,
I really wanted to show you the new Memory Box die, Twigs and Berries,, I just ran it through my Big Shot so that you could see it ,, just look how delicate that twin is ,, gorgeous and perfect for snowmen arms !! I also got some Maya Road Coffee or Tea chipboard shapes ,, aren't they cute !! oohh the new spellbinders ribbon banner ,, can't wait to use that ,,, AND ,, I thought I would try to tidy up a bit and got some EZmount storage panels ,,, LOVE em ,, I now need a couple of folders but I have already got my unmounted house mice all sorted ! What I need to do is stamp them all onto card inserts so I can see what's there more easily ,, this is going to be fab for my Tilda's too ! I feel a craft room tidy up coming on ,,,,, :-)

Now I don't feel so bad that I'm not going to the Ally Pally this weekend ,,, for those of you that are going ,,, have fun and Spend Spend Spend !! You're Worth It !!!! :-)

I should have chosen Happy Birthday as it is Hubby's birthday today and I made him a very quick card late last night ,,, not sure I will blog it ,,, not one of me best efforts ,, but it's the thought that counts eh !! :-)

I have been joining in with Jennifer McGuire’s Inspiration Showcase class and have been experimenting with techniques this week :-)

I inked a Hero Arts background stamp with Faded Jeans distress ink, I then ‘kissed’ it with Hero Arts swirly stamp to remove some ink, then sprayed the stamp with pearl glimmer mist and then stamped it onto some plain white card ,,, it does look fab IRL ,, very shimmery. I then stamped a Judikins butterfly with Versamark ink and embossed with clear powder, coloured with distress ink then cut it out, smothered with rock candy stickles and when dry popped it on there with glossy accents to the body and pop dots under the wings. Think thats it ,,,, oh yes ,, sentiment is Hero arts too and so are all the lovely gems

This week the DT have all used My Favorite Things Stamps and/or Die-namics Dies on their creations. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have them why not dig them out and use them :-)

I am currently taking part in the Jennifer McGuire Inspiration Showcase classes and I have been inspired to NOT use designer paper on my card this week but to make my own I had alot of fun with my inks, embossing folders, powders and heat gun :-)

For my card I used my very cute My Favorite Things ‘Time for the Bubbly’ stamp set. I coloured the image with Copics and tried to make the wallpaper look a bit textured by pouncing the tip of the copic over it. I added Star Dust Stickles on the bubbles and Glossy Accents on the wine glass.

The paper at the top was made using some glossy card, I stamped the spots using a Penny Black Design Spotter cling stamp and Versamark ink. I then sprinkled with white EP and heat set. I then swirled some Dusty Concord distress ink over the top.

For the bottom half I inked my Spots and Dots folder with Versamagic Aquatic Splash and run some plain white card through the big shot.

I added some Tim Holtz ribbon, it looks like a garter and added some satin ribbon, a triple bow and a MFT rolled rose ( LOVE this die ! ) and popped a little pearl in the middle. I made the sentiment into a wall hanging and hung it on a brad with some silver chain.

Oohh have I got a cutie to show you today !! Dulcie at the Wild Rose Studio has recently released a new set of Pickle Penguin stamps ,,, soo CUTE !

The theme this week on the Papertake Weekly Challenge is ,,

CREATURE COMFORTS ,, so any animal, obviously I chose Penguin ! :-)

I followed Debra’s fab sketch on a brand new challenge which started this week ,, Friday Sketch Challenge :-)

I stamped this gorgeous Pickle with Present image, coloured with Copics and cut out with a circle nestie. I inked the edges with blue chalk ink and added Star Dust Stickles here and there, I added polar white flower soft to his hat too. The papers are also from the WRS, these are from a new Wintry Christmas pack. I added a couple of stacking stars and a few dots of Viva Ice White pearl pen for little stars. The sentiment is in with the stamp set and I added some spotty tulle ribbon, a Hero Arts snowflake brad and a couple of pearls coloured with a copic marker.

It is my friend's hubby's 50th Birthday today and I made this card for him ,,, I know it's last minute but I completely forgot ! Luckily he is here on holiday so he will get in it time !!! :-)

I used the same Hero Arts Rosette stamp that I used on Friday for the Totally Papercrafts DT card, it is almost the same card actually ,,, just darker and more manly :-)I stamped the image with black pigment ink and embossed with Black Sparkle EP, the paper is from a Basic Grey Oliver pack and I paper pieced the ribbons.

The numbers and text were cut out on my now working Cricut !! I just plugged it in and went in search of the trouble shoot guide ,,, and when I got back it had turned itself on ! I must’ve scared it into action by threatening it with a screwdriver !! :-)

I glued the numbers and sentiment on with glossy accents, very unforgiving if you manage to get them in the wrong place like I did ,,,, oops ,,, the numbers could have been placed better ,, do you think he will notice ?? :-/

tip: after cutting out an image that has been heat embossed zap it with the heat gun to re melt the edges, then when cool run the tip of a marker of similar colour around the edge so the white card doesn’t show.

For my card I used my fab new ‘You’re the Best’ set from hero Arts. I stamped the rosette onto Bashful Blue SU card (bought from Mandi)and and again onto white card and cut out the centre part for the sentiment. I also stamped the ribbon onto a wide piece of crushed satin ribbon and cut those out too. I added star dust stickles and used a Viva Ice White pearl pen to create faux pearls around the centre. The paper is also SU from a Rainbow Sherbert pack , I added some faux stitching around the edge and used another Hero Arts stamp for the Birthday sentiment.

I couldn’t decide whether to make a film title or a song title card ,, so I went for both :-) I had been wanting to make a card with the ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ film title for ages, ever since I saw this card on Stacy’s blog a while ago :-)

For my first card I used the very cute Happy Hopper Bunny Hop stamp, they are really having fun eh when they should obviously be tucked up and sleepin ! I coloured with Copics and inked the edges with colorbox blue chalk ink. The papers are from a First Edition Up Up and Away pack,,,, gorgeous !! I used a Martha Stewart border punch, little Tim Holtz Film Strip ribbon, some organza ribbon, a little twine, a Basic Grey Button and a few Robins Nest Dew Drops to finish.

2nd up is my Lady in Red song title :-)

I recently bought this ‘When All’s Said and Done’ stamp by Stamps Happen , now girls ,,, how true is that sentiment !! you can be honest lol :-) Coloured with Copics ( by accident on the wrong card !! I LOVE Neenah Solar White, but stamped onto a card that looks similar but it doesn’t allow blending of the colours as well so this is slightly streaky ,,, don’t look too closely ! ) I inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress inks and added a few Hero Arts gems in the corner. The papers are from a Websters Pages Hollywood Vogue and WonderFALL pack and I added some simple bias tape from a Tim Holtz lavish ribbon pack, coloured black with a copic marker. I finished with one of my fave embellies, a flattened chrome cap and a Vintage Typewriter image, topped with an epoxy dot.

I completely forgot about the extra requirements when I made this ,, but luckily there are stripes on their hats ,,, phew !! :-)

For my card I made a little circular card that can, if the recipient likes, be hung on the tree or somewhere !! I used a very cute Snoopy ‘Woodstock Follow Me’ stamp. coloured with Copics and the edges inked with Stormy Sky distress ink, then red chalk ink around the edges and smothered in stickles. I used a little Basic Grey paper from a Jovial pack and some red card. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and I added a bias tape bow, coloured with a copic marker and a star brad to finish.

I used my cute Snoopy Flying High stamp, coloured with Copics and cut out. I used some red SU card and the paper is from My Minds Eye ‘Fly a Kite’ pack made the aperture using a Spellbinders die. I used a a CC Designs Clouds die and some white card which I embossed with a swiss dots folder. The sentiment is from LOTV.

For my card I used this very cute House Mouse Bed of Flowers stamp. I coloured the image with Copics , added a few dabs of Star Dust Stickles and inked the edges with some pink chalk ink. The papers are Basic Grey from the Out Of Print pack and I added a little sprig of flowers (rather than a bouquet), the daisies are made using a Crealies die and the sprig is a Marianne Designs die. The twine is a RAK from our lovely Boss, America xx and the tag is made using a tiny x cut punch.

Lawn Fawn Christmas ,,,,,

Hi all ,, this morning I went on a lovely Lawn Fawn Blog Hop over on the Lawnscaping Challenge blog, if you would like to join in there isn’t long left before the hop closes ,, so go NOW !! :-)

I have recently bought several sets of Lawn Fawn stamps ( love em ! ) and I was so inspired that I just had to sneak into my craft room and join in their current challenge with is Embossing, wet or dry ,, or both !

I followed the fab sketch on the Clean and Simple Challenge and I chose to use my fab Critters in the Snow set, very cute :-) I shaded the igloo slightly with copics , coloured the baby penguin and popped him with pop dots in front of it, his feet are popped out too :-) I stamped the snowflakes using Hero Arts shadow ink used a Swiss Dots embossing folder, an EK Snowflake border punch and lots of Star Dust Stickles
