50th B'day,,,,, Clean and Simple ,,,,,,,

Now ,, before I move onto me card ,, do you twitter ???? I have just received an email that I have won some craft goodies from Cardmaking Mag. They have reached over 1000 followes and are doing a random draw every hour from 9 am till 5 pm ,,, I was the MD girl !!! Woo Hoo !! :-)

If you do twitter can you please follow me and I will follow you :-)

Also Simon Says Stamp have loads of giveaways for Twitters so start tweeting,, tweet tweet !!! :-)

Moving on ,,,,

It is my friend's hubby's 50th Birthday today and I made this card for him ,,, I know it's last minute but I completely forgot ! Luckily he is here on holiday so he will get in it time !!! :-)

I used the same Hero Arts Rosette stamp that I used on Friday for the Totally Papercrafts DT card, it is almost the same card actually ,,, just darker and more manly :-)I stamped the image with black pigment ink and embossed with Black Sparkle EP, the paper is from a Basic Grey Oliver pack and I paper pieced the ribbons.

The numbers and text were cut out on my now working Cricut !! I just plugged it in and went in search of the trouble shoot guide ,,, and when I got back it had turned itself on ! I must’ve scared it into action by threatening it with a screwdriver !! :-)

I glued the numbers and sentiment on with glossy accents, very unforgiving if you manage to get them in the wrong place like I did ,,,, oops ,,, the numbers could have been placed better ,, do you think he will notice ?? :-/

Challenges :

Less Is More Challenge, Anything Goes ,, Mandi and Chrissi are hoping to get 1000 entries this week ,,, Good Luck !!Smile

Stamptacular Sunday ,,, Just saying ,,, a word/saying on the front

I stamped the rosette onto Bashful Blue SU card (bought from Mandi)and and again onto white card and cut out the centre part for the sentiment. I also stamped the ribbon onto a wide piece of crushed satin ribbon and cut those out too. I added star dust stickles and used a Viva Ice White pearl pen to create faux pearls around the centre. The paper is also SU from a Rainbow Sherbert pack , I added some faux stitching around the edge and used another Hero Arts stamp for the Birthday sentiment.

Stamp-tember is almost halfway over !! For a chance to win fabulous crafty candy check out the Simon Says Stamp Blog every day ! ALSO For this whole month there are thousands of products in the Simon Says Stamp store at reduced prices ! NOW is the time to grab a basket and head off for a spot of retail therapy,, !! Don't miss out !!! :-)

Thanks for all your fabulous entries to our Multi-fold challenge last week :-) There are some really fascinating and innovative ways to create with card, some I had never seen before !

to use a SONG or FILM title as Inspiration

(So many options, so have fun!!!!)

As usual Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a $50 voucher to her FANTASTIC Simon Says Stamp Superstore !!

For fabulous tutorials, inspiration and candy you should keep an eye on the Simon Says Stamp Blog too :-)

I couldn’t decide whether to make a film title or a song title card ,, so I went for both :-) I had been wanting to make a card with the ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ film title for ages, ever since I saw this card on Stacy’s blog a while ago :-)

For my first card I used the very cute Happy Hopper Bunny Hop stamp, they are really having fun eh when they should obviously be tucked up and sleepin ! I coloured with Copics and inked the edges with colorbox blue chalk ink. The papers are from a First Edition Up Up and Away pack,,,, gorgeous !! I used a Martha Stewart border punch, little Tim Holtz Film Strip ribbon, some organza ribbon, a little twine, a Basic Grey Button and a few Robins Nest Dew Drops to finish.

2nd up is my Lady in Red song title :-)

LOVE this song by Chris De Burgh, click HERE to hear it :-)

I recently bought this ‘When All’s Said and Done’ stamp by Stamps Happen , now girls ,,, how true is that sentiment !! you can be honest lol :-) Coloured with Copics ( by accident on the wrong card !! I LOVE Neenah Solar White, but stamped onto a card that looks similar but it doesn’t allow blending of the colours as well so this is slightly streaky ,,, don’t look too closely ! ) I inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress inks and added a few Hero Arts gems in the corner. The papers are from a Websters Pages Hollywood Vogue and WonderFALL pack and I added some simple bias tape from a Tim Holtz lavish ribbon pack, coloured black with a copic marker. I finished with one of my fave embellies, a flattened chrome cap and a Vintage Typewriter image, topped with an epoxy dot.

Thanks for looking , Our fabulous Designer in the September Spotlight, Alberto, and the DT have made some fabulous cards for your inspiration, so hop on over to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge to see them :-)

At last a Less Is More Challenge entry ! :-)

Hi all :-) I hope you're all having a lovely weekend :-)As many of you know I have been busy with visitors over the summer months ,, still am ,, but I went and I hid in my cubby hole so I join in with the lovely Limettes over on the Less Is More Challenge !

This week Mandi and Chrissie have challenged us to make a one layered card entitled Seeing Double ie stamp 2 of something.

I had a few practices with various inks, distress and chalk and thought the Hero Arts ‘Hero Hue’s chalk inks worked well for me :-) The flower stamps and text are all from Hero Arts too. After stamping the flowers I brushed them with Perfect Pearls, lovely and shimmery IRL :-)

I am thinking of making several of these as a little gift for someone and would appreciate any constructive criticism before I make any more Smile

Thanks for looking, I hope I am able to join in every week from now on ,,,, summer is nearing the end and I will have more time to play and of course to pop around to visit my blog buddies more often xx

p.s ,, the theme over on the Totally Papercrafts Challenge is 'Cute as a Button' I didn't have time to make a DT card so I thought I would mention the theme here if anyone would like to join in :-)

For my card I chose this very cute Two Cup Changito set, today is a sad day so I will be needing 2 cups :-) I coloured with Copics and paper pieced his top, I then doodled some stitches and added Glossy Accents to the cups. The papers are from an Authentique Journey pack and I used a ribbon from my drawer and a fab coffee pot charm that was a RAK from America xx The sentiment came with the image.

The circular shaped mark on the cup is not a fabby design, just a reflection off the gloss :-)

For the inside I used my fab new TH Weathered Clock die , I used brown card which I then smothered with distress ink, sprinkled with Aged Mahongany distress powder , heated then brushed off the excess particles.

I set the time to 9.30 ,,, time for a cuppa !!!

For my card I decided to stick with a simple easel card. The image is from Stamps Happen, this one is called Louis and Rosie. I coloured with Copics and doodled some faux stitching around the edges. The papers are My Minds Eye from the Hattie paper pack. I love MME papers and the colours in this one are particularly lovely ,,, blues, greens, teal ,, gorgeous !
