Froggy Fest Day 6 :-)

This week is just flying by !! I'm already onto day 6 of the Froggy Fest and I must admit I have enjoyed playing with this fab set of frogs :-)
We have had a few emails about the Simon Says Challenge with quite a few of you saying that you like doing 'cute' not grunge :-) So I decided to do a cute image folder but just inked the edges ! This would qualify for the challenge if I weren't on the DT :-/ I am so envious of all of you who have a chance to win the Tim Holtz art ! I would just love that and I can hardly believa Hallie has donated it to us !!

The green spotty paper is a paper download from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts I coloured the images with Prisma pencils and blended with odourless spirit. The edges were all inked with dried marigold distress ink and the organza ribbon is not from my messy drawer for a change it is brand new from the shop :-)

My 1st Greeting farm card :-)

I made this card using 2 stamped images Pascale very kindly sent me :-) I have to buy some of these !! :-) I also saw on her blog that there's a fab Greeting Card Challenge using this sketch and we also have to use Black/White combo :-)I flipped the sketch over for my card :-)




I coloured the image using a mixture of Marvy watercolour pens and inktense pencils. The wood effect paper is Basic Grey. The fence was cut out of black/grey coredinations using an impress die. The flowers are also punched out of the coredinations and a white flat backed pearl added to the center.

Edited to add that I added crystal stickles to her headscarf and also used my fab new copic glitter pens and a little inkssentials opaque pen that I got from the Simon Says Stamp Store

My husband was given this clock by a drug rep and the face was advertising some drug or other, horrid it was ,,, Soo I decided to give it a makeover :-)

The gorgeous green paper is a Funky Fairy's Papercrafts download The numbers were cut out using a Do Crafts Impress machine, I do like this machine especially for the small alphabet and numbers die cuts.

Digital Tuesday Challenge :-)

I made this card using 2 of the gorgeous images I just won in Wendy's blog candy :-) Wendy is a fabulous artist and has some lovely digi images for sale :-) You can see them here at her online store Digital Delights
The ones I used here are Maggie May and Maggie May background. I coloured her with copics and 3D's her. I highlighted her a little bit ! I still haven't quite got the hang of that yet ! It always looks brill on everyone else's cards and not so good on mine !!
I followed the fab sketch by Jenn on the Digital Tuesday Challenge, the DT have made some superb cards for you to see so go and see em !! :-)

As you can see I made this for a little girl's 1st Holy Communion, the sentiment was printed on my comp :-)

Simon Says Let's Craft With Tim :-)

First of all I would like to thank everyone for the fabulous entries for our Animal Challenge :-) We had over 100 entries and both myself and Heidi are donating to animal charities, mine is the Gozo SPCA, the link is on my sidebar Heidi is donating to the Humane Society of Delaware County :-)

We have a fabulous fun challenge for you this week on the Simon Says Challenge :-)
This week we are all getting inky :-) I got absolutely covered making this and would recommend that if you try this wear disposable gloves !! :-) Heidi very generously sent all the Challenge DT a package filled with Tim Holtz goodies :-) It felt like Christmas opening it !! I can't tell you how much we all enjoyed this one, FUN FUN FUN !! Jo's package went on a round the world twice trip and finally arrived at lunch time yesterday ! Just in the nick of time eh !! Phew !!!






Would you believe that this tin started life as a SU hodgepodge hardware tin !! Yeah !! What a transformation eh !!




I used allsorts in the making of this, I started by using alcohol inks in various colours with a little silver mixative and a few drops of blending solution and dabbed this all over using a proper Tim Holts applicator though I did resort to tweezers to push the ink into all the little nooks and crannies :-)
I have loads of unused mirri card which I never use cos it's far too shiny, but it was the right colour so I got some sandpaper and really roughed it up , it looked much better ! :-)

Funky Fairy's Challenge 19 # Recipe +day 4 Froggy Fest !!

I used various papers from the Funky Fairy's Papercrafts onlins store, fluffy flowers, funky meets shabby chic,it's so distressing and doodlementals flowers :-)

I really had fun with this one :-) Withee the pole dancing frogs complete with Master of ceremonies and googly eyed audience :-) When I showed this to Amy she nearly pee'd herself laughing :-))

Card using Hazel's Fab Sketch :-)

I made this card following Hazel's fabulous sketch on the Daisy and Dandelion Challenge I used the gorgeous Dandelion for this card :-) The ball is from a Pickles and Onion set ( aren't they fab names :-))
The papers are Daisy and Dandelion and so is the sentiment so a 100% D&D card :-)

I am also entering this card into the following challenges :-

Charisma Cardz Challenge whose theme is going dotty, well my paper is very dotty and I have plonked a ball on there too !! and some brads :-)

Froggy Fest Day 3 !!

Froggy Fest !!

I've been busily making things using this fabby froggy set from Simon Says Stamp store So I have decided to do a Froggy Fest this week :-) I will be posting a froggy item every day this week ! Silly idea I know !! :-)
Yesterday I posted 2 cards similar these but all have them have a different frog image from this Simon Says Clear Stamps FROGS JUMPING FOR JOY Exclusive Set!



The images are coloured with Prima pencils and blended with spirit. The faces and umbrella are 3D'd. I also added some sparkle on the umbrella handle using my fab new sparkle pens, I can't tell you how fabby these are !! I also used them on yesterdays frogs glasses and the stars, I also used them to make purple lipstick on the fairy :-)
COPIC Twinkling Stars Marker Glitter Pen SET of 12 Spica They are absolutely gorgeous !!
The papers are all paper downloads from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts
I find downloads are just so convenient, you never run out of a colour/design, especially good if you're making several matching items !!

These cards are also going to be sent to children on the Make a Child Smile site.

Mosaic clock with Funky Fairy's paper

Hi :-) I just thought I'd show you what I made combining my 2 fave crafts, mosaic and paper :-) The mosaic tiles are glass and for the face I used a digi download paper from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts which I distressed with inks and curled the edges :-)

Ewe's Poo's ughughugh :-)

I made this tag for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge who's theme this week is 'Oh for the love of Chocolate'
I bought this jar of ewe's droppings on a recent visit to Yorkshire and thought I could use this :-) The original droppings had all been eaten so I had to go to my local farm to get some more :-) yum :-)

Please ignore the still wet stickles I couldn't be bothered to wait for it to dry :-)

DareU2Digi Stamp Challenge



Sketch Saturday Challenge




I made these cards using soon to be released digi images from Doodle Palace
The monkeys on the see saw and the mice images will be released for sale next Tuesday 2nd June :-) Aren't they gorgeous !! :-)

Both cards were made following the fab sketches on the DareU2 Digi Stamp and the Saturday Sketch challenges. I must admit I did struggle with the Saturday Sketch :-) It is a fabby sketch and I wanted to use that image and the basic grey paper but I just couldn't get the oval shape to look right !! I think it's because I really didn't want to cover up so much of the gorgeous paper so I hope you accept my compromise :-) I have a pile of oval shapes in all different colours and papers that I tried !!! :-(
I coloured the monkeys with prisma pencils and blended with odourless spirit, I am still a novice on these pencils and have tended to stick to my copics but I do think they make furry animals more furry looking :-) The mice I coloured with copics and for some reason when the copics dried they were spotty !! I am still trying to work out which is the best card to use with digi images :-) so it's a bit trial and error at the moment,,,

I would also like to with the Saturday Sketch Challenge a very happy 1st birthday :-) All the Design team have blog candy on their blogs so you need to make a card and visit everyone :-) What a fun idea !! :-)

I made this card using a fabulous set of Simon Says Clear Stamps DEER WITH FOREST FAMILY Exclusive Set, I love this set, the images are just sooo cute :-) Check out the

The papers I used are from Diane's Daughter's Rustic Gems collection, the plastic branch is from a pack of craft buttons. I also used a couple of sketeton leaves and a die cut leaf with the sentiment stamped onto it. The sentiment is from the Simon Says Clear Stamps SENDING SUNSHINE Exclusive Set.

The ribbon is by Karen Foster, also from the Simon Says Stamp store,it has a lovely leaf print on it, perfect for this card I thought !! :-)

I made this card following the fab sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge, they have some fabulous DT cards !! Gorgeous !! :-)

Funky Fairy's Challenge # 18 Babies :-)

What a fab theme we have for you over on the Funky Fairy's Challenge this week, 'Babies' aww so cute :-)
The DT have made some absolutely gorgeous creations for you to see if you need some inspiration :-)

My niece has just had a baby boy, Ben, so I made these for him :-) It doesn't seem that long ago that Lara was a flower girl at our wedding ! she was only 4 years old !! I also bought some papers and embellies so she can continue the album herself :-)







I used my old faithful stamp the Penny Black Baby Hammock which I coloured with copics and layered onto circular nestie shapes.
I used gorjjus gingham, hope and dots are distressing papers all digi downloads from the Funky Fairy's Papercrafts They have some fabby new releases now so pop over to take a look. If you've never used paper downloads before there are some free designs on the Blog of Inspiration so you can try before you buy :-)
