Now, down to the serious business of Blog Candy for this month. We've got three candy bags to give away this month, all you need to do is post about the new releases on your blog with a link to our Blog Candy, then post a Permalink in Mr Linky below to your post (if you need help with that bit then see Kay's post from a few weeks ago).

Also leave us a comment too telling us what you think this chap's name is - surprise, surprise it has absolutely nothing to do with Jon Richardson or Twilight this time!

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

I made this card for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, they have a fabulous sketch to use :-)
Well it's not very often I manage to make a card on the day the challenge is posted unless it's a DT one !! Am still feeling guilty that I missed a couple of their challenges after winning one of the fabby prizes on the launch day !! lol

I have made this card for a friend's daughter who will be having her birthday soon :-)The image is Sarah Kay 'Picnic Time' and when I checked to see what the name of the SU paper was that I had used it's called 'tea Party '!! there's a coincidence !! :-)
I also used some purple stardream and some new coredinations whitewash, it's gorgeous !!
The sentiment is from the Clare Curd sentiment set and the flower is a mix of different ones :-)
Thanks for looking, I appreciate your comments so please leave me one :-)

Don't forget to PLEASE enter the Funky Fairy's and the Simon Says Challenges :-)At Funky Fairy's there's a GD call too !!
Heidi has a special prize on offer on the Simon Says Stamp Blog to celebrate her mum's 60th birthday, you wouldn't want to miss this !! :-)

Daisy and Dandelion Challenge 9#

It is my neighbour's son's B'day later this month and he is a keen Man United fan ! Why he couldn't support a fab team like Leeds United I'll never know lol !!
I made this card for him using my fab new Daisy and Dandelion stamps that I bought yesterday from Binky Crafts. I just had to get this set ! Perfect for boys big and small !! :-)
I followed the fab sketch by Clare for the Daisy and Dandelion Challenge I thought it suited this set really well with the football ! Am sorry Zoe I only realised after I made it that I'd made it almost the same as yours :-/
I coloured the image with copics in Man U colours and 3D'd him :-)I also decorated the inside ! I don't do this very often ! but to be honest I stamped the footballs and 'Goal' intending to use it on the front but it just looked too fussy, well, I didn't want to throw it away so stuck it on the inside :-) All the things, boots, trophy, football and text are stamped from the same set.I also used Anita's 3D glaze on the football under his arm. I kept this card clean and simple, I think Luke would prefer it like this !! Don't think he's appreciate flowers !!!

The red paper is a Funky Fairy's Papercrafts Cherish Collection download :-)

Thanks for looking, I appreciate your comments so please leave me one :-)

Fabulous awards :-) and only a couple of hours left till my candy closes !

I received these awards a few days ago from Bea at My Little Piece of Heaven.
I'm sorry it took me so long to get around to posting these but I've been busy holidaying :-)
I have copied this text from Bea's blog :-)

"These blogs are exceedingingly charming. These kind of bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers.Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly written text into the body of this award"
now i need to choose 8 people to pass them onto

Well, I always find this so difficult to do, choosing a few people when I admire so many blogs, and have made so many lovely friends, soooo
I am going to award these to everyone that has taken the time ( and a little bit of effort !! ) to enter my blog candy :-)

I also want to remind everyone to enter the Challenges on the blogs associated with the candy !! :-)

Thanks Bea, I really appreciate these awards x x

Sammy's Race for Life

I have just found this on the Funky Fairy's Blog of Inspiration, Shaz posted this on the blog so I am helping to spread the word :-)

Sammy at Buttonz and Bradz is being very brave to Belly Dance the route in a pink costume lol :-) Hope someone video's this and we get to see her 'In Action' !! :-)

I 'lifted' this text from Sammy's blog, hope she doesn't mind !

..it was suggested that our class belly dance the 5km Race for Life in pink costumes! Now I don't know enough people to sponsor me, but I had a thought: ask my blogging buddies to send me a card featuring pink (or blue to be pc!) that I will sell in Church in aid of Cancer Research. (See http://www.raceforlife.org/)
As the race is on my birthday I thought I'd give some Candy to one sweet participant who will be drawn one week later on 24th May. The candy will increase by one item for every 10 cards I receive so please spread the message!
Please send cards to: Sammie Clare, 8 Charles Mauger House, Bosq Lane, St Peter Port, Guernsey GY1 2JE including your name and e-mail address.
Many thanks for your generosity in joining my efforts!
Sammie

Friday Sketch and Just Magnolia Challenges

I made this card following the fabulous sketch over on the Friday Sketchers Challenge
I just realised that the little bit at the right side was supposed to be seen on the opposite side too!! oops, think it would look better too !! Will try to fix it later !
It also qualifies for the Just Magnolia Challenge where we have to use a magnolia stamp and this week they're asking for some stitching on your creation, faux or real !! I used faux !! :-) You can't see it very well on the dark purple but it is there !!
I used 'Tilda with cross' stamp I coloured her with copics, it's my first attempt at black hair, not easy to do without it being TOO black or too grey, not sure I've mastered it yet but will try again :-) I 3D'd her to make her look like a real girl lol
I also used a Stampers Anonymous stamp, Tim Holtz collection to stamp a background with shabby shutters distress ink onto a piece of Basic Grey Archaic paper, it's the first time I've used this stamp :-)
The papers are from a new Basic Grey wisteria pad, I also used a little black magic coredinations, love that card ! The swirl is from a pack of Tim Holtz grungeboard, I coloured it with dusty concord distress ink and then sprayed with meadow green glimmer mist, it looks fabby in real life !! :-)
The flowers are from Prima and the brads are Doodlebug

All of the items I used on this card are available in the Simon Says Stamp store, they offer free worldwide shipping on orders over $100 ( that's easy to do !! )

Thanks for looking, your comments are appreciated so please leave me one :-)
Also my blog candy ends tomorrow so you don't have long to enter :-) Details are at the top of my blog

Card for a Cause :-)

I have made this card for a Post pal
The theme this week on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge is 'Happy Mail' We are asked to make a card for a sick child and post it, the difficult thing is choosing a child !! I have several cards so will be sending quite a few :-)
I am also entering this card for the Spoonful of Sugar Challenge whose theme is 'Touchy Feely' ( fab theme and very original !! )I used a velvet paw print ribbon and fun flocked the toes, the image is also has 3 layers so very 3D :-) I also added a little bell and I'll also leave the card overnight in Jessie's basket prior to posting to give it an authentic 'doggy' smell lol :-) Lots of senses stimulated there !! :-)
I used the fab sketch by Nikki on the One Stop Craft Challenge. I changed it to make a square card, I didn't mean to but when I took the card to the trimmer I had chopped it before I realised what I was doing !! I did mean to just score it down the middle !! duh !! Hope ya don't mind Nikki !!

The doggy image I used is a brand new one ( for me ) from Lili Of The Valley :-) I did feel that as I am a GD for 2 months I should make a card for their challenge using their stuff, but couldn't wait to ink this one up :-) Isn't he cute !!
The background paper and panel at the side are DCWV Pet's Stack, The ribbon was from Meiflower

I kept the card quite simple, the paper is busy enough !! :-)

Thanks for looking, I appreciate your comments so please leave me one :-)

There are only a couple of days left to enter my blog candy, you can see it at the top of my blog :-)

Thanks for looking, I appreciate your comments so please leave me one :-)

Happy Birthday Mum :-)

It's not my Mum's birthday :-)

I made this card to enter the Stamp Something Challenge whose theme is 'Stamp Something for a Mum' I used Becky's fab sketch on the Sketch and Stash Challenge. My new thins are the checked paper, just bought that, and the flowers are new too :-) It also qualifies for the Pink Elephant Challenge whose theme is 'Circles and Scallops' :-)

The cupcake is from the Simon Says Clear Stamps Savour Sweet Cupcakes set. I coloured it with copics, then smothered the topping with glue and sprinkled coconut ( ivory flower soft) and glitter all over it :-)
The brown paper is fron a Funky Fairy's Papercrafts download, as is the sentiment, the papers are from the 'In With The Old' set and the sentiment is from the Birthday Rounds set :-) The checked paper is from the DCWV The Glitter Sweet stack. I also used stardream card for the base card and the deckle edged strip.
I used my nesties to cut the circles and scallop shapes, the top one was chalked with pink pearlescent chalk from Pebbles inc and then it was sprayed with green glimmer mist, it looks yummy in real life :-)
The flower was a birthday gift from Heidi from the Simon Says Stamp Store (thanks darlin :-)). The sentiment is mounted in a SU hodgepodge hardware frame.
I also cut a corner swirl on my cricut and finished the whole thing off with some choccy drops that were in blog candy that I won in January :-)

Think thats all,,, :-)

The image is one of my new House Mouse stamps , cute eh !! :-)
I really should have written this when I made them !! have been on holiday since and am finding it difficult to remember what I did !!

I used a free download called 'Doodlementals' and the 'It's so Distressing' papers. The box was made from a template that I bought from the Cutting Cafe

I coloured the image with copics ( love em !! ) and used crackle glaze on the cup, that has been sitting on my shelf for over a year unused !! but I love the effect it gives :-)The ribbon was from my still messy drawer !! the flower is a prima one and the text is from the Clare Curd Sentiment set :-)

I used a new digi download image from The Digital Stamp Oasis called 'A Day At School', Isn't she cute :-) I used my new SU card to print the images onto and am thrilled with how they colour ! much better than what I was using before !! I 3D'd the image, her feet were done 3 times !! may need to make a box for this !!
The papers are all from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts. I used the fabby new Gorjjus Gingham' set and the red script paper is from the 'In With The Old set. I am not biased, honest, !! :-) I really love these paper downloads and have bought several of them :-) So convenient :-) Joey, get yer printer sorted out !! :-)

The 'other' apple was cut out on my cricut ( fab machine !! )
The text was stamped with graphite black brilliance using a hero arts set.
The sums on the 'blackboard' were hand written by me in white pencil ( kept the sums simple !! lol), I did mean to smudge some white chalk to 'dirty' the blackboard but I forgot before I took the photo, I will do that tho, i think it'll look better, might change this pic later :-)

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

Hi Everyone :-) I have been feeling a bit guilty lately as I have been meaning to enter this challenge from the begining but due to having my friend to stay and my holiday home to the UK I just didn't find the time, better late than never though eh !! :-)
The theme this week on the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge
is 'Mum's the word' as we have already had Mothers Day in the UK I decided to make a birthday/ celebration one instead :-)
The image is from Simon Says Stamp store and is the Simon Says Clear Stamps, Savour Sweet Cupcakes set. I coloured it with copics, 3D'd the icing and added a little crystal stickles. I didn't want to add to much shimmer as the paper is shimmery enough !! I also added a flower that I stamped using pink brilliance ink and some Robin's nest dew drops :-)
I also decorated the inside using a Funky Fairy's Papercrafts download and the text is from the same Simon says Exclusive clear stamps set :-) The entrance ticket was a free stamp from the Craft Stamper magazine, I masked the words and wrote my own :-)
The papers are DCWV glitter sweet stack and Funky Fairy's Papercrafts, the ribbon is by Martha Stewart, the text frame was hodgepodge hardware from SU. The text is from the Funky Fairy's Papercrafts download, 'Birthday Rounds'

Thanks for looking and I really do appreciate your comments so please leave me one :-)
There is still a few days left to enter my blog candy so please have a look, it's at the top of my blog.

Simon Says Challenge 3 # Recipe

I am actually on holiday in the UK at the moment and am hoping that Mr Bloggy posts this for me !! I am sorry that I won't be visiting your blogs for the next few days but will try to catch up when I get home next week x x

The theme this week on the Simon Says Challenge is a recipe 3 buttons, 2 papers and 1 ribbon :-) You can also use plain card for layering etc :-)
I decided to make a baby card using my new House Mouse Cozy Shoe stamp and papers from the Basic Grey porcelain collection which I just bought from Simon Says Stamp store I coloured the image with copics, I do love them !! I used stickles on all the dots to glitter it up a little bit :-)
The buttons are clear ones from Stamping up which I coloured with my new alcohol inks and glimmered with perfect pearls, I then just threaded a little bit of brown paper through them. The sentiment is also from Stamping Up, the ribbon is from my messy drawer ( I must tidy that up !! ) :-)

I also made a gift box using a new template which I bought from The Cutting Cafe I actually bought this by mistake !! I actually wanted the stationary set, which I bought as well !! but I like them both and am happy I got them, especially as it was on DH credit card :-)

You have plenty of time to enter the challenge it runs for 2 weeks so you have no excuse :-) Also Heidi has very generously offered a $25 shopping spree to the Simon Says Stamp store for the lucky winner drawn at random :-)

The Design Team have made some fabulous creations for you to see so don't forget to pop by and see them all :-)You can see them on the Simon Says Challenge blog then visit their blog via the links to leave a comment :-)

Funky Fairy's Challenge 14# Sketch

This week on the Funky Fairy's Challenge
Joanne has made this fabulous sketch to use.
Sometimes cards just make themselves and this one did just that ! Nothing to do with me :-)
Don't forget that to be in with a chance to win a fabulous paper download you cannot combine with other challenges, though you can still enter !! Also you must use a Funky Fairy's Papercraft item, there are lots of free downloads on the blog of inspiration :-)
I used Funky Meets Shabby Chic papers from Funky Fairys Papercrafts The image is from the Digital Stamp Oasis This one is called 'Mushroon Lane Butterfly'
I also used some blue and black cardstock for layering. The butterfly stamps are from hero arts, I also stamped them onto vellum and sprinkled with clear sparkle embossing powder, the sentiment is from a Stamping Up set, I thought the wording was just perfect for catterpillar to butterfly !! :-) I used loads of stickles on the butterfly, the organza ribbon was from my messy draw and the small flowers were made using a daisy punch and finished with a crystal gem.

Even though I say so myself I do like this card, hope you do too :-) The rest of the Design Team have made some wonderful creations for you to gain 'inspiration' so please pop by to see them and leave a comment :-)

Thanks for looking, I appreciate your comments so please leave me one :-)

The papers are Basic Grey and a little coredinations. The flowers are by Prisma and I also added some dew drops and a ribbon to finish:-) The sentiment is from Clare Curd's sentiment set, fab value for money !! :-)
I am also entering this card into the Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge, the theme this week is 'Create a Scene', well I did I think :-)
