Simon Says Monday Challenge: Start Afresh

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! We hope you all had a wonderful time over the Christmas holidays and we would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the very best for 2017!!

I am sorry I am late but I had computer issues, which thankfully, was fixable but it did mean that my computer was put back to factory settings and I am having to add programs again, but, at least it is working Woo hoo!! I still need to work on the photo editing programme though ;-)

This week we are challenging you to

START AFRESH

We would like you to use something fresh out of the packaging, i.e. something never used before.

We are showcasing the fabulous Carabelle Studio Products this week. If you have them we would love to see them used, but you don't have to use them to join in with the challenge

I used a new Le Roses De La Vie stamp set, they reminded me of Rennie Macintosh designs, and a fabulous Textures 2 Die Set which I have used before ;-)

I love these roses and I am sure I will be using them a lot in the future too. I white heat embossed and then coloured them with Lindy's Gang Mermaid Seashells Powders, they have a beautiful shimmer IRL, they are packed full of mica ;-)

Fr the background I used Tumbled Glass Ink and then used a Dot fade Stencil and a sentiment stamp to add more interest

Anything Goes

This week we are showcasing Lindy's Stamp Gang Products.  You don't have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

I used Mermaid Seashells Magicals Powdered Pigments 

For the background I mixed some of the pigment powder into some white embossing paste and used a stencil to create the textured design. I used the same Azure Sea color for the flower and added a little  of the Glory Of the Sea Gold in the centre. These pigments are really chock filled with color and a little goes a very long way. 

For the frame I used some of the lovely Glimmer Cardstock, I love it! so pretty :-)

I simply finished the inside too.

Newton's Nook 'Fireside Friends'

Merry Christmas!! Only 2 more sleeps!! :-D 

I made a couple of last minute cards using a Newtons Nook Fireside Friends Stamp Set.

I love the image, super cute, and I coloured them to look like my pets, Jessie(dog) Tigger and Tom :-) 

I made this card below when I was staying with Heidi and family in Ohio. The lovely gingerbread houses decorated by the kids were perfect for the photo staging ;-)

This one also features Phoebe instead of Tom ;-)
