Simon Says: Explore The World

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Halloween Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is

Explore The world

We live on a beautiful planet and we would love to see some sort of voyage of discovery.  You might like to make a winter wonderland project with the north and south poles as your inspiration, or maybe you would prefer to go on a desert safari or an underwater voyage of discovery. This challenge is open to so many different themes we will be looking forward to seeing what you make!

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

Please don't forget to check out the fabulous blog of our Guest Designer, Nikki Acton, her work is fantastic! :-)
I used  Tim Holtz Globe  and a Silhouette Cameo Digital Die Cut Dove to spread peace around the word this Christmas.

I inked the background with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks and then stamped some script with Archival Shadow Grey. I used a Falling Stars Stencil and Salty ocean ink and then added extra interest with white embossing paste and a sprinkling of glitter.

I blended Pumice stone Distress Ink over the globe and then brushed some Perfect Pearls over the top to give a lovely silvery shimmery look ( a great idea from Jennifer McGuire ;-))

The stars are glittered and the crinkle ribbon is inked to match and I have to say I love how this has turned out :-)

I used the same inks and stencil and a Simon's Exclusive Merry Christmas sentiment on the inside.

House Mouse 'Light wrapping'

Hi all :-) I am here with a reminder for the House Mouse and Friends Challenge,
you still have a few days to join in!

Branch Out
or you can always choose the Anything Goes option like I did this week ;-)

I recently bought this super  cute 'Light Wrapping' Cling Stamp and couldn't wait to ink it up!

I like to keep my Christmas cards quite CAS so that they fit in a normal envelope and qualify for the lowest rate of postage. Almost all of my mail is international and I soon learned to cut back on the embellies ;-)
I also think that these cute meeces don't really need anything else anyways, they are the stars of the show ;-)

October Card Kit 'Nutty Over You'

When we returned from our trip to India I found a fabulous Simon says Stamp October Card Kit waiting for me, such a lovely parcel to come home to ;-)

I love the 'Nutty Over You' stamp set in this one, so cute, and the papers and little acorn stickers are adorable! the kit also included 2 ink pads which I used for the stamped edge detail, lovely colours aren't they!

I wanted the squirrels to be european red so I used a MISTI tool and a combination of brown and red ink pads to get the colour I needed.  The tool is perfect for precision stamping, even though they are clear stamps I can never align them up properly, I have wonky eyes ;-)

It's no surprise that this kit has totally sold out but you can still buy the individual elements if you like :-)
It really does pay to subscribe for the kits, go on, sign up, because you're worth it ;-)

Crafting With an Attitude   Anything Goes
Crafty Girls Creations   Anything Goes
