Simon Says Stamp 'Ray Of Sunshine' Monday Challenge

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

This week the challenge is

RAY OF SUNSHINE

After the long winter months we are looking forward to summer!

We are showcasing Dina Wakley Products this week, you don't have to use them, but if you have them we would love to see them used!

I used a Scribbly Birds Media Cling Stamp Set to make a sunshiny card ;-)

I am looking forward to the long sunshiny days of summer and used the colours of the beach for my card. I recently bought some Mixed Media Cardstock and wanted to use it to create the background and for the image and I love how the colours absorbed into the card so evenly. I coloured the bird with Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron and Picked Raspberry. The background was inked with Distress Inks and I made a mask using a Scribbles and Splatt Die and used that to create the 'Sun' with Embossing Paste and a sprinkling of Mustard Seed Distress Glitter.

House Mouse 'Tails Entwined'

It's time for a new theme over on the House Mouse and Friends Challenge!

This week it's the lovely Kate's turn to choose the theme

LOVE IS ALL AROUND

of course you can always choose the Anything Goes option

I used this super cute Tails Entwined image, aren't they adorable ;-)

I coloured with copics and then carefully cut out the tails so that I could partially die cut the oval. For the background I used the larger oval die to cut out some Slate cardstock. I then stamped with a Drawn Hearts background stamp using versamark and then brushed some perfect pearls over the top. I also used a little of the powder to give the moon some shimmer.

I am currently in the UK visiting family, so I will catch up with you all when I get home :-)

Simon Says: Anything Goes

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Create With Critters Challenge and we hope you will join in with our new theme!

This week the challenge is

I made this card using the gorgeous new Stitched Heart Collage Die

I inked a strip of Watercolor Paper with Festive Berries and Sun Sugar Distress Inks and while the ink was still a little wet I brushed some Perfect Pearls along the edges to give them a lovely pearlescent shimmer. I had some of the pink hearts left over from a previous project so I popped a couple of them back in the apertures.

I also coloured a couple of the hearts with a Toner Pen and gold foiled with the Minc Machine, I also used the pen to color a 'love' die cut and foiled that too. I love the gold and pink together, so pretty :-)
