Sharing Handmade Kindness

I am joining in with the lovely Jennifer McGuire's Share Handmade Kindness Challenge. This is such a great idea and I am sure we all know someone who would appreciate a few extra special thoughts. 

This week it's friends and family and I made this for a special blog friend who I have 'known' for several years and finally got to meet in person at the CREATE event. I won't say her name as she obviously hasn't received this yet ;-)

I used a new Bear Necessities Stamp and Die Set, designed by the super talented and lovely Shari Carroll. I love that the bear comes with his own warm suit, haha, adorable :-) I think he is just perfect with his arms open wide ready to give my friend a big hug (O) :-)

Thanks for looking! I hope you will find some time to join in with this fun event too. The first week finishes tomorrow so you may need to get your skates on ;-)

Simon Says: Thanks/Thanksgiving

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

I got home yesterday evening after a fabulous trip to Simon Says Stamp. It was an action packed and fun filled 3 weeks! I got to meet so many people at the CREATE event, it was AWESOME!! On the way home I stopped off for a couple of days in London and got to spend some time with my son, Sean, my parents, my brother and his partner. It was a perfect end to a perfect trip :-)

This week the challenge is

THANKS/THANKSGIVING 

It will be Thanksgiving in America in a couple of weeks, a time to count our blessings and be grateful for our lovely family and friends.

 Life moves along so quickly and now is the time to stop and think of all of the good things in our lives. 

We are showcasing our very own Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used

I used Stitched Pumpkins, Small Chevron Stripes and Thanks Craft Dies

I stamped the background using a Stampendous 'Wired' Cling Stamp inked with Scattered Straw Distress Ink.
For the Stitched Pumpkins I used Watercolor paper and smooched the pumpkins into a puddle of Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks. I love the effect of this for the pumpkins, makes them less 'perfect' and more 'real' don't you think ;-)
