ABC 'N' for No Embellishments Challenge

Good Morning :-) I hope the sun is shining wherever you are :-)

There are only 167 days left to Christmas and you can never have too many cards ready, so if you haven't already started popping cards into your Xmas box then now's the time to start ! :-)

We all need to make cards that will fit into envelopes, especially those that are to be posted overseas, so this challenge is perfect for those ,,,,

N for No Embellisments,

no gems, ribbons, flowers or even punched snowflakes ,, haha :-)

I didn't use any stamps this week ,, all die cuts using dies borrowed from Heather ! Which I definitely need to buy now !! :-)

I love the deer walking amongst the trees and the long grass ,,, :-) I masked the moon and inked the background with distress inks then sprayed with Studio Calico shine to create a snowy background, I love this effect :-) I then masked the background and sprayed the moon with a delicate yellow ands soft orange copics, this doesn't show up in the photo unfortunately.

In retrospect I would chop a 1/2 cm off the whole card and have the tops of the trees at the top of the card ,,,, next time ,,,,, :-)

Old, New, Borrowed or Blue

Thats the new theme just starting over on the Papertake Weekly Challenge ,,,,I am a bit late today ,,, well, a lot late ,, but we have had no electricity ,,, AGAIN,,, all day ! It has been terrible these last few days with the power on and off like a light switch ,,, :-)

I used this super cute new Unity Stamp ' New Set Of Wheels' stamp, New Baby and Blue :-)

I used various stamps inks and embossing to make the background papers and added a little strip of red paper from a BG pack to paper piece the pram and added the banner strip. I will link all the products I used at the bottom.

Give Peas a Chance

I have just returned from Malta after dropping Heather off at the airport (sob)  and spending the night over there,, bought me some new flip flops in Sliema to cheer me up ,,,, there's exciting ,,, haha :-) Miss you Heather :-/

Good Luck Mum & Dad

My parents are moving house today, they sold their big house and are downsizing into a bungalow so I made this card for them :-)

The Big House 

I used distress inks to colour the background and used the Silhouette to cut the sign, I will link all the products I used at the bottom.

This is the decorated inside,,,, the Bungalow :-)

PATRIOTIC

Tomorrow is the 4th of July, Independance Day in the United States, and a time of celebration, so lets all join in the party ! The challenge is to make something that represents a country, flag colours, national symbol. Whatever you like ! :-)

I went with Red/White/Blue and Tea,, what is more British than a cuppa ?? :-)

I used You're My Cup Of Tea stamp set, Retro Squares Border Die

and Mini Tabs Quartet Die

I stamped the background using an Impression Obsession Dotty Circles background stamp and heat embossed with white EP.

I paper pieced her dress and cup,, doesn't she look pretty  :-)

I used a new Simon's Exclusive 'Pillow Talk' stamp set to make this ,, isn't he cute and looking all comfy :-)

I used a Simon's Full Card Hexagon die , which I embossed rather than die cut. I think this looks a bit like a quilt ?  I paper pieced his pillow using some Basic Grey Max and Whiskers paper.

This little Seed Shooter Happy Hopper was very naughty, when I was wandering around the Simon Says Stamp Store, this little critter hopped into my basket and hitched a lift back to Gozo with me :-)

 BRIGHT WARNING GET SHADES BEFORE SCROLLING DOWN, 

I don't want to dazzle anyone :-)

aww ,, isn't she CUTE ! I wanter her to be shooting the pips into a plant pot and after alot of umming and arring made this using 2 circle nestie die cuts, stamped and white embossed the design using a Lawn Fawn Teeny Backdrops stamp onto the same layering card, then smothered with Crackle accents.  It almost looks real ! 

She has missed the pot a few times and is wishing it was nearer ,,, hehe :-) 

The papers are also from Lawn Fawn and are a perfect match for this stamp aren't they ! :-)
