ABC Christmas ,,, U for Unused Stash

Hi all ,,, the weeks are rolling on by and before you know it Christmas will be here ,,, and have you got a box of cards ready ? If you have been joining in with Christmas challenges all year then there will be no need for a last min rush to the shops to buy them !!! :-)

This week on the ABC Christmas Challenge we are already up to ‘U’ !

‘U’ for Unused Stash ,,,,

this can be something you just bought or something that has been stuffed in the cupboard and neglected. The DT have all taken photo’s of their unused stash, you don’t HAVE to ,,, BUT if you do you will be eligible to be considered as a future GD !! YAY !! :-)

Here is my new stash ,, a Die=namics ‘Tag You’re It Die and stamp set and American Crafts Garland Ribbon.

I used some new Lawn Fawn stamps, coloured with copics and popped onto the die cut tags with pop dots. The paper is Basic Grey from a Nordic Holiday pack. I added some star dust stickles, ribbon , a Martha Stewart punched snowflake and a few Robins Nest Dew Drops to finish.

For my card I followed the fab sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge used this very cute House Mouse ‘Witch Way to the Candy stamp, aww Muzzy is way too cute to spook and the hat is way too big for Monica,,, bless :-)

I coloured with Copics and the edges inked with Black Soot distress inks. The papers are Authentique from the Glowing paper pack, all the edges were inked and I ran the sewing machine around the edges. The sentiment is from an Inkadinkado Mini Scary Words set.

I added a Martha Stewart spider, which is climbing over trying to get to the candy , and bat, not sure what he’s doing there,, flying in for a party !! :-) these were both highlighted with Star Dust stickles and a white gel pen, to finish I added a few Robins Nest Dew Drops.

Papertake Weekly ,,,,Get in Shape !!

Get in Shape !! oohh ,, I was just thinking today that I need to pump up the tyres on me bike and start cycling !! It has got too cold to swim and I haven’t done anything active in a couple weeks ,,, :-/ Luckily tho ,,, that can all wait for a few days/weeks ,,, cos the challenge on the Papertake Weekly is use 3 or more shapes on your cards ,,, phew ,,, I was worried there !! back to slothing ,,,, :-)

I must admit ,,, I lost the plot of the challenge half way through and went off on a tangent ,,,, I was going for shaped card + 3 shapes ,, then forgot ,,, !! I think I managed to redeem it with a circular sentiment ,,, so my shapes are square, rectangle and circle :-)

I have had this gorgeous House Mouse Feeder Friends stamp for several weeks and not inked ,,, oohh shame on me !! Mudpie is just soo cute sitting on top of the seeds with his full tummy and the little birdies wondering what he is doing in there ! :-)

I coloured the image with Copics , inked the edges with Hero Arts Latte Chalk ink and added a few drops of Star Dust stickles here and there. I have seen lots of people listing the copic colours they used ,,, do I need to do that or is it OK to skip it ?? ,, The papers are Basic Grey from the Indian Summer pack and SU Chocolate Chip for layering. I used a Martha Stewart Arch Lattice punch and a fab wired ribbon from The Ribbon Girl The sentiment is a clear stamp from LOTV

For my card I used this very cute Pickles with Sledge image, coloured with Copics and copious amounts of Star Dust Stickles added. I used some Polar White Flower Soft on his hat and glossy accents on his beak and feet. The papers are also from the Wild Rose Studio, these are from the new Wintry Christmas pack. I used a EK Success Snowflake edge punch and used some of the tiny confetti snowflakes as embellies too. The sentiment is from the new Christmas Circles set, also from the Wild Rose Studio.

Hi all ,, the last 2 weeks have flown by and we are back again with a new theme over on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge ,, this time it is Sue Drees’s turn to choose and she chose a fab colour challenge

For my card I used this gorgeous Pumpkins, Mice and Ghosts Oh My image ( thanks America xx)

Hi all ,, another Friday has come whizzing around and it’s almost time for a weekend of craftin !! YAY :-)

This weekend why not make a card and join us on the Totally Papercrafts Challenge ,, :-)

This week the theme is ANIMALS ,,, we are a bunch of animal lovers so this is an easy one !

I have recently bought another 2 Peanuts stamps from Stampability, I am slowly building up a collection :-)

I used Snoopy Looking Up and Hot Air Balloon. I coloured with copics, masked the images and created a sky using my Copic Air Brush and a mask made using a CC Designs Cloud die cut. The papers are First Edition Up Up and Away and I cut a Spellbinders Blossom shape from some SU card, embosssed with a star folder.

I used a Martha Stewart border punch and a Cloud die cut , some ribbon from my drawer, a button and some twine. The sentiment is from a Papermania clear set.

ABC Challenge T for Tiny/Tags ,,,,mid way reminder

Hi all ,, I missed making cards for this ABC Christmas challenge last week so I am here with a reminder for you all to join in :)

The theme for this fortnight is

T for Tiny cards or Tags ,,, we would like you to make a set of 4 of them :-)

We are sponsored by our lovely teamie Lacey and she is offering a $25 voucher to her online store, Stamp and Create :-)

I decided to make a set of quick and easy tags, we all need loads of these eh !!

I used a tag die that I bought at the NEC and cut 4 white and 4 blue tags. I used some Unity penguins from a Christmas Eve Chowder set. I stamped a background of snowflakes, embossed with clear powder and then inked with Stormy Sky distress ink. I then went around the edges with Pumice stone distress ink, sprinkled with perfect pearls. I coloured the images with copics and then layered onto the blue tags. I added some glitter and a punched snowflake on each and added some ribbon to finish.

For my card I used this brand spanking new September House Mouse stamp of the month, this one is called Nature Bites ,,, sooo cute !! ,, just look at the size of that tummy ,, :-) Coloured with copics and the edges inked with Vintage photo ink and then dusted with bronze perfect pearls ,,, so shimmery. The papers are Cosmo Cricket and I added some American Tag twine, a button and some Hero Arts gems. I inked and added perfect pearls to all the edges and then sewed them all :-) The sentiment is from a little Hero Arts set and I added some Star Dust stickles for extra sparkle :-)

For my card I followed the fab sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge. I used a very cute Stamping Bella stamp, this is called Rain Never Stopped Me Abella, coloured with copics and I layered the brolly. It doesn’t show up but I went over the collar and belt with a glaze pen,, looks fabby IRL :-) The papers are Echo Park from the ‘A Walk In The Park’ pack, I used a Martha Stewart border punch and some CC Designs Cloud die cuts, I ran these through a Big Shot in a Swiss Dots folder. I added star dust stickles and some ribbon to finish :-)

I have this fabulous set of Hero Arts stamps from Simon Says Stamp to give away !

Good Afternoon all :-) Did you know that today is National Card Making Day ?? ,,, it should be international card making day ,, but never mind we can hijack it :-)

I decided to down tools and hide away in my craft room for a couple of hours to make a card just for fun :-) I bought this adorable Changito Stamper recently and what better day than today to give him an outing :-)

I followed the fab sketch on the Sweet and Sassy Stamp Challenge. I coloured the image with copics and paper pieced a few of the papers laying about on the table. I used Chocolate Chip card for layering and the lovely DP are from a Basic Grey Indie Bloom paper pack. I used a Lawn Fawn Alphabet set and added a few Kaiser Crafts gems ( that were a free gift from Simon Says Stamp) The buttons and ribbon were in my messy drawers and I used a little twine too.

Before moving onto the challenge we have some sad news ,, Scoopy has decided to step down from the team :-( I would like to wish her all the very best and I know we will still be friends and teamies on the HM&F challenge so its not goodbye really :-)

This week on the Totally Papercrafts Challenge it is Scoopy’s turn to choose the theme for the last time ( for now,, we hope she will come back soon ) and she chose ,,,,

AUTUMN !,, now Autumn to me means leaves, Halloween, and Guy Fawkes, wind, rain, browns greens, oranges, reds ,, ,,,,, lots of scope there to join in !! :-)

I followed the fab sketch on the Less is More Challenge and must admit I do like how this turned out ! I stamped a leaf, a clear stamp from Stampendous, using Vintage Photo distress ink onto watercolour paper and spritzed with water ( after watching this fabby tutorial by Joy on the Hero Arts Blog). I then cut it out and went around the edges with more ink. The base card is SU Crumb Cake ( bought from Mandi) and I stamped a small square with a script stamp with Hero Arts Grass chalk ink and matted this onto a square of SU Old Olive card. I used some twine to wrap around and added a bow and a Hero Arts sentiment.
