House Mouse Goodbye/Farewell Challenge and Blog Hop

This is my first week as a Designer on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge and I can't tell you how happy I am to be here :-)

The thinking behind my card was ,, 'well my bags're packed and am ready to go' ! Leaving on a Jet Plane :-) A plane charm would have been perfect , but didn't have one so a boat had to do :-)
I used my lovely Happy Hopper stamp , this one is called Fancy Pants :-) I coloured the image with copics and added tiara stickles for sparkle :-) The papers are a digi download set from Nitwit Collections and the 'Bon Voyage' plate was a gift from Heidi at Simon Says Stamp and is made by Martha Stewart :-)



I found this fabulous free suitcase template on the Mirkwood Designs site and just happened to have this SU paper and small ribbon sliders ,,, perfect I thought ! :-)

Meljen Designs Card for a few challenges :-)

My lovely friend Emma aka Crafty Emma bought me several Meljen Designs images for my birthday and this is one that I chose :-) This one is called'A Boy with his Wagon' ,, very cute eh ! :-)



I followed Sem's lovely sketch on the Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge. I coloured thee image with copics and added copics glitter pen and star dust sparkle to various places. The papers are Doodlebug and Creating Keepsakes and the lovely charm was a gift from HM teamie America , thanks xx I bought the ribbon and twine from Meiflower at the Ally Pally and the button was in my drawer :-)

BBQ season is here :-)

I made this card following the lovely design on the Sketch Saturday Challenge They are celebrating their 2nd blogoversary with a party :-) Congratulations to the DT,, the Sketch Saturday Challenge is one of my faves and I rarely, if ever, miss a challenge :-)

This summer most of my family will be coming to stay with us ,, all at the same time ,, it will be a bit of a squeeze but there will be 14 of us !! It will be lovely, but busy and Ray will be in charge of the BBQ most of the time so I thought I would make this card for him and everyone will sign it when they are here :-)
We have a lovely dog, jessie and 6 cats and when Ray is cooking on the barbie they all sit in a semi circle waiting for theirs ,, he always has to serve them first lol




I used one of my lovely LOTV stamps that Sue and Joey bought for me at the Ally Pally, thanks girls xx :-) I coloured the image with copics and inked the edges with stormy sky distress ink. The papers are Basic Grey two scoops, all of these are from Simon Says Stamp.

For my card I used the lovely sketch on the Sweet Stampin Challenge I used my new Taking Notes House Mouse stamp from Simon Says Stamp I coloured the image with copics and added Tea Dye distress inks around the edges. the papers are from my lovely new Vintage Shabby Tim Holtz paper pack, the brown card is Chocolate Chip from SU and I also used SU Oval punches. The word stick is a tim Holtz ideology charm. The fancy border was made with TH sizzix border die cut :-) I love all his productes but the new stuff is gorgeous ! Heidi has it all in stock at Simon Says Stamp :-)

Stef's 35th Birthday candy :-)

Lili of the Valley Challenge

I made this card following Bev's fab sketch on the Lili of the Valley Challenge :-) This stamp was a gift from my lovely friends Joey and Scoopy Sue ( they bought me several for my B'day ) and this is the fist inking :-) Isn't this a cute image :-)



I coloured with copics and added stickles everywhere. the sky was coloured with Pebbles Inc pearlescent chalk from Simon Says Stamp which looks lovely IRL. the papers are from a Basic Grey Green at Heart paper pack ,, I love the vibrant colours in this set. The flowers are prima and the central one is from Wild Orchid Crafts, sprayed with Glimmer Mist the ribbon and charm are from my stash.
The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp Exclusives set and here is where I had a happy accident ! I chalked the sentiment with same chalk as the sky and reached for the sealant ,, and instead picked up the spray adhesive ! so I sprinkled it with fine glitter and now I have a fab sparkly sentiment !! I think this would be a good idea for all those lovely fairytale images :-)

LOTV 2 day Blog Candy ,,,,, be quick !!

I have been waiting for this little beauty to drop through my letterbox, isn't she lovely :-) ,, I have a few more of these new ones to play with too :-)



This one is called Curtsy Princess Tilda and I bought her from Simon Says Stamp superstore ,,the website is temporarily closed so I will have to get links later :-)

I followed Jane's lovely sketch on the Just Magnolia challenge I love this sketch and will definitely be using it again :-)
I coloured the image wirh copics and added ultrafine glitter to her dress and shoes,, all Princesses HAVE to have a sparkly frock :-) the papers are from a new Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby paper pack. I used SU Perfect Plum card for layering and used a Marths Stewart double loop round the page punch set. The flowers are Prima, sprayed with pearl glimmer mist and stickled with star dust. the ribbon and charm are from my stash.

I made my card following Jo's fabulous sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge
I used my lovely Penny Black 'Vanilla' stamp that I was lucky enough to win in a little competition on the Simon Says Stamp Blog a while ago :-) I coloured her with copics and used a copic green glitter pen to add dots around the hem and sleeve. The papers are lovely new BG Green at Heart papers. The flowers are Prima which have been sprayed with Pearl Glimmer mist and stikled with star dust for extra sparkle :-) I used a Martha Stewart border punch and butterfly punch, the 'hi'in the bottom left corner are stickers in the BG Green at Heart paper kit (I bought the 12 x 12 collection pack).

WOYWW and a couple of challenges

I had just started making a tag and remembered WOYWW so I stopped what I was doing and took a piccy then realised it is Tuesday so am a day early lol :-)

I will show you the finished article first though :-) I had a lovely time making this tag ,, I love to get all my inks and paints out and have a good play :-)



I used several colours of distress ink ,, dusty concord, shabby shutters, chipped sapphire and vintage photo. I also used vintage photo distress powder. The fancy border is a new Tim Holtz sizzix die and the flower is cut using a sizzix die and grungepaper snd the butterfly and letters are pre cut grungeboard shapes. I added rock candy distress stickles on the swirl and star dust stickles on the flower and butterfly. the black pearls are from Kaiser Craft.

Everything I used including the basic tag are all from Simon Says Stamp :-)

I have just made this card following Jeanette's fabulous sketch on the Friday Sketchers Challenge I used another new Happy Hopper stamp from Simon Says Stamp Superstore, this one is called Bunny Cruise. There is a problem with their server at the moment so I can't get links :-( I coloured the image with copics and inked the edges with stormy sky distress inks. I then added diamond stickles to the water and star dust stickles on the fish and glass. the papers are SU and the ribbon and buttona are from my stash. The fab flower was a gift from Heidi and is by Glitz Design, this is a relatively new company in the store and they make gorgeous papers and allsorts of fab n funky stuff :-)

Wow ,, we had so many bloomin'gorgeous cards last week to our 'Say it with Flowers challenge,, almost 450 entries !! :-)

For my card I used my lovely new House Mouse stamp from Simon Says Stamp Superstore Don't you just love these mice, the expressions on their little faces are just so cute :-) !! Mum has her hands full here :-)I coloured the image with copics and dabbed the blender pen all over the bath to give a mottled effect, then used crackle glaze to give it shine and an aged look ,, not sure I have achieved that ,, but that was what I was trying to do :-) The papers are from a Bearly Mine CD and the sentiment is from Stamps Happen, I thought this worked well, it says I love giving home made gifts ,,, pick a child ,,, aww :-) the flower is Prima which has been sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist and I added a few Robins Nest Dew Drops to finish.

I coloured the image with copics and inked the edges with Daffodil ink and embossed with sparkle embossing powder. The papers are Basic Grey from the Cupcake pad and the flowers are Prima sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist and dotted with star dust stickles. the cupcake had some glitter treatment too ,,, can't have too much glitter in my opinion :-) The sentiment is from a mini Hero Arts Cupcakes and Gems set I stamped some Penny Black Mice paw prints along the bottom piece of paper and embossed those too.

Wild Rose Studio DT card for the Just Cute Bears Challenge :-)

Bev has made a gorgeous sketch for us to follow on the Just Cute Bears Challenge and I just had to ink up my new very cute Milton Bear stamp from the Wild Rose Studio :-)



The image I used is called Milton with Barrow, I coloured him with copics, coloured the edges with spun sugar distress ink from Simon Says Stamp and added star dust stickles to the flowers. the papers sentiment and brad are also from the Wild Rose Studio and the flower is Prima , sprayed with pearl glimmer mist and the petals curled.



i am entering this into the Corrosive Challenge too whose theme is Clean and Simple ,, do you think this qualifies ?? it looks clean and simple to me :-)

Sketch and Stash Challenge

Thanks for all your wonderful entries last week following my sketch I really enjoyed seeing them :-)

I have never made one of this type of card before but when I saw Christine's card on the House Mouse Monday Challenge DT I thought that this sketch would work perfectly :-)
I chose to use this lovely 'Flip Flops' image ,, I used to look just like her ,,,, in my dreams lol :-) I masked the image and stamped the parasol from the Simon Says Exclusives set behind her, the drink and sentiment stamps on the inside are all from the same set. The papers are a brand new Creative Cottage digi download set and are being released TODAY !! how cool is that ,, we got to use them first !! this set is called Daisy Chain and is lovely :-)



I coloured the image with copics and coloured the edges with wild honey distress ink. I added star dust stickles for sparkly sand and a few spots on the brolly and her lovely glass of lemonade :-) The ribbon and candy dots are from my stash and the shaped chipboard sun has been in my drawer for ever. the flip flops were a gift from a blog buddy and I have had them a while too :-)
