ABC Christmas Challenge 'B' for Bells + Glitter

More good news :-) I know you all know that I was asked to be on the DT for the ABC Challenge ,BUT I was also asked to stay as a DT on the ABC Christmas Challenge too :-) Woo hoo !!!! :-) I am relly looking forward to working with the lovely girls on both DT's :-)

We had a fabulous response to our first ABC Christmas Challenge :-) thank you to everyone who entered :-)
This week our theme is

B for BELLS with the added extra of Glitter :-)

We are being sponsored this week by Simon Says Stamp :-) The lucky winner will get a $15 shopping spree to the fabulous store and Heidi will also pay for shipping ! :-) We will also be looking for a GD to join us :-)

I used my lovely new Jingle Bells image designed by the fabulous Mo Mannning at Mo's Digital Pencil :) You can hear that dog howling if you listen carefully :-)




I coloured the image with copics and added LOADS of various stickles and glitter :-) Even the flower soft snow is slightly glitterred :-) The papers are from My Minds Eye ,, but you can't see much of them :-) The frame was made using a Martha Stewart round the page border punch



The snowflake is a Spellbinders die cut and the ribbon was from my stash :-) I also added a bell to her hat ,, which does jingle :-)

This week's challenge is "SHABBY CHIC"

Shabby Chic is "showing signs of wear and tear, distressing, whites, worn or bleached out pastels, rustic" (courtesty of Wikipedia !!). So basically ,,, tatty !! :-)

So ,, onto my card :-) I must admit, I wasn't especially looking forward to this one ,,I almost threw a sickie :-) But a challenge is a challenge right !!! It is no secret that Timea is the Queen of Chic and is on the Lets Get Shabby DT ,, so that is where I went to have a snoop and get some ideas of what to do with my 'creation' ha ha :-) So thanks Timea for all the help with this one :-)

I have only made one Shabby Chic card before ,,,and it was HORRID ,,, so ,, let me know what you think of this one ,,, I think it is a definite improvement on my last effort ! :-)



I used my new Tilda's which I pre-ordered before Christmas :-) These will soon be available to pre order in Simon says Stamp Store

I followed Denise's fab sketch on the Stamp Something Challenge for my card :-) Tilda was masked so I could sit her on the piano :-) I coloured her with copics and paper pieced her dress :-) The paper is Magnolia ,,, but you can hardly see it ,, shame eh ! :-( I also used a little manuscript paper too, I distressed everything with antique linen ink. The lace and organza ribbon is from my stash and the flower is prima which have been sprayed with pearl glimmer mist :-)
i added loads of pearls and a little stickles and a lovely charm that was a gift from Heidi ages ago to finish it off :-)

I was lucky enough to win a choice of images from Mo Manning at the Digital Pencil Shop on the Creative Inspiration Challenge a few weeks ago and I thought this Jack and Ginger image would be perfect to enter their Anniversary Challenge this week :-)

I followed the fab layout on the Sketch Saturday Challenge I love this sketch :-) I think it is Jo that designed it ,,, but not sure ! :-/ Whoever it was thank you x x



I coloured the happy couple with copics and kept the colours 'old' ,,, well ,, not many old people wear hot pink etc do they ! :-) the papers are Basic Grey Two Scoops ,, I have to say I think this is a fabulous paper pad ,, my fave I think ! :-) I used gold stardream caerd for layering as I was thinking 'Golden Wedding Anniversary' when I was making it :-) the flowers are prima ,, slightly edged with pink copic and sprayed with pearl glimmer mist :-)
I used a Martha Stewart heart border punch and some ribbon that I bought recently in Holland :-) The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp exclusives sentiment set




This Jack and Ginger image is now available as a stamp and is in stock at Simon Says Stamp :-) the papers, Martha Stewart punch, flowers and glimmer mist, sentiment sets are also available :-)

Papertake Weekly Sketch Challenge sponsored by Kraftin Kimmie :-)

The super talented Dawny P has made another gorgeous sketch for us all to follow at the Papertake Weekly Challenge this week,, I know you're all gonna like it, nice and easy :-)

For my card I used my new Drucilla stamp ,, I bought this after the last hop and this is the first time I have used it :-) Isn't she fab ! :-) I coloured her with copics and paper pieced her dress. The papers are by creative imaginations ,,, they do these really gothy papers ,,, perfect I thought with this voodoo image :-) I also used the heart stamp that comes with this image, added a charm and hung it on the ribbon ,, :-)



I distressed the edges with black soot distress inks and made it quite streaky deliberately ,,, honest :-)
I swiped pigment ink and sprinkled black sparkle embossing powder on all the edges of the DP to ,, err add sparkle ,,, :-)

The sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub on ,,, it shows up better IRL but it says 'enjoy the little things' :-) ( these rub ons are FAB !! )I just thought it went REALLY well with this image :-)

?? Tilda's Big Sister ??

I made this card following the fabulous sketch on the Mojo Monday Challenge :-) When I saw this sketch I thought it tied in perfectly with the Just Magnolia Challenge whose theme is Paper Pleating. Mina has made a fabulous tutorial to make life easy for us :-)




I used one of my new Tilda's ,, i don't know the names of any of these yet :-) I coloured her with copics and added copics glitter pen for sparkle :-) The papers are doodlebug and black glitter card.

Card Patterns Challenge :-)

I need to make a few Thank You cards,,, I know I should have made them before ,,, but didn't ,,, anyway I found this lovely sketch on the Card Patterns Challenge,,, which I think is perfcect for nice simple cards so I will be making several of these :-)



I have just received this gorgeous Curious Muzzy stamp as a gift from one of my blog buddies ,,, I won't mention her name just in case she doesn't want me to tell ya'll :-) Anyway ,,, I just had to use him eh ,, sooo cute and tiny ,,, perfect fit for a tag ! :-)
I cut the tag on my cricut ( still plugged in !!! :-)) and embossed all the edges using brilliance ink and sparkle embossing powder :-) The Thank You is a Hero Arts stamp which I stamped with black ink and then wrote over with black copics glitter pen,, so it is sparkly :-)
The DP Basic Grey and I also used a little blue coredinations that I embossed with a Thank You folder which was smothered in jade brilliance ink to give a 2 tone shimmery effect. The flowers are Prima rosebuds and I finished it off with ribbon and a few gems :-)

All That Scraps Challenge :-) Ria's Sketch

I made this card following Ria's fabulous sketch on the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge



I used my new Shy Kiki La Rue stamp,, isn't she cute :-) I coloured her with copics and added glitter pen to her buttons and a little lace stickles to her socks for sparkle. The oval was edged with pigment ink and embossed with sparkle EP :-)

The fancy flower under the oval was cut out on my cricut,,thanks Ria for making me plug it in !! :-)
The papers are from a Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses pad ,, I thought the check pattern went well with her skirt ! :-)
The fancy border was made using a Martha Stewart border punch and the ribbon was from my messy drawer :-) I added a few ivory pearls and loads of stickles on all the edges for sparkle :-) the sentiment is a Funky Fairy's punch em :-)

Nice day for a ,,,,,,, Beach Wedding :-)

The theme for this fortnight on the House Mouse Monday Challenge is 'On the Beach' Well ,,, I had to put my thinking cap on for this one as I don't have any beachy HM stamps ,,,,, yet ! :-)
It is becoming quite popular for couples to jet off to the Carribean to get married ,,, a few celebs have done it eh !! :-) So I thought my mice could get married on the beach too, my poor little mice couldn't afford the fares tho ,,, so they have to get married on the beach at Ramla Bay in Gozo :-)

I followed the fab sketch by Teresa on the Mojo Monday Challenge They have a contest this week with up to 7 prizes !!! Oohh how fabulous ,,, hope I win one :-)




I coloured the happy couple with copics and cut them out with nestie circles. I added copics glitter pens and stickles glitter for sparkle ,,I also added some lace stickles to her veil ,,, I do love the effect that gives lace ,,, it really does look real ! :-)
The papers are basic grey, think its from the 2 scoops pad. the blue embossed panel was embossed,, I swiped a white pigment ink pad over the embossing folder and then after embossing the paper I sprinkled it with sparkle EP and heated it ,, it looks lovely eh ! :-) I thought the swirly folder looked a bit like waves ,,,,, :-) I printed the text on the ribbon on my comp,, :-)



I had to use a stamp positioner to stamp the feet in the sand ,,, as I only had that idea AFTER I had coloured the image in ,,, it would have been easier if I had thought of it before I started ! ,,, :-)
The footprints were made with marigold ink. I added some gems to keep in with the sketch ,, placed wonky deliberately ,,, :-) I then plonked the 2 flowers on too ,, they are not in the sketch ,, but I thought they looked good there ,,, what do you think ??

Charisma Cardz Colour Challenge GD card :-)

I was thrilled to be asked to be a Guest Designer on the Charisma Cardz Challenge for the whole month of January ! :-) I am really looking forward to working with their fabulous DT again :-)I was a GD in July/August too :-)

For my card I followed the lovely sketch on the Allsorts Challenge they also asked for us to use some new or old stash. I used my new Bride and Groom House Mouse stamp which is actually called PLAYING DRESS UP ,,, cute eh ! :-) I could also say I used my old stickles ,, I used the last squeeze from the diamond one ,,, need to replace that now ,, and the ice one ,, completely out of stock now :-(



I coloured the image with copics and added lace stickles to her veil :-) I added some stickles to the flowers and copic clear glitter pen to his waistband and bow tie ,,, don't they look a handsome couple :-) I embossed the edges with cream pigment ink and sparkle EP ,, then added stickles too ,,, can't have too much sparkle eh ! :-)
The papers are Basic Grey ,, have had that pad for ages and the front fell off so don't know what they are called ,, the flowers are prima sprayed with pearl glimmer mist and added the very last drops of diamond stickles :-) The horseshoe charm is from my charm jar and the sentiment was printed on the comp.

Our theme for this week is
HOT CHOCOLATE :-)

With the big freeze all over Europe and freezing weather on the other side of the pond too ,,, a lovely warming hot chocolate is just what we all need eh !! :-) You can interpret this theme as you like :-) You could use hot chocolaty images or brown and pink colour combo :-) The choice is yours :-)

For my card I used a lovely HM stamp ,,,Joey and a few of the DT have used HM too so a good promotion for them this week :-)
The one I used is called CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES It is a really big stamp so the card is a very simple layout :-)



I decided to go for Chocolate and Hot Pink ;-)
I colourd the image with copics and added various stickles for sparkle ,,, the white frosty is distress picket fence ,, I also used distress rock candy and diamond stickles too :-) The papers are Basic Grey though I am not sure which pad as the cover fell off ! :-)



The ribbons were from my stash and I think the sentiment is a Papermania one ,, :-)

ABC 'L' for Layering,,,,,, My 1st DT card !! :-)

For my card I used a lovely Big Sister stamp from Sugar Nellie :-) I loved this image as soon as I saw it on and just HAD to get it ! I think the sentiment is just PERFECT with it too lol :-) I can just imagine a toddler 'big' sister saying that !! :-) It also reminds me of the episode of Only Foold and Horses when Del Boy has a baby ,,, have you all seen that one ,,, sooo funny :-)



The papers are from my lovely Wild Rose Studio Spring Papers CD ,,, I love the papers on this ,,, they print so nicely :-) I added some dew drops and stickles for sparkle. The lovely baby ribbon was from my local habberdashery :-)

Sketch and Stash 1st 2010 Challenge :-)

It seems such a long time since the last Sketch and Stash Challenge ,, a whole 4 weeks ! It was my turn to choose a GD from all the entries ,,, and I have to say that although it was lovely to visit all the entries it was really difficult to choose just one, but I had to !!! :-) My final choice was Andrea from Andrea's Inspirations ;-) If you haven't visited her blog you really should go and visit :-) Her work is absolutely fabulous :-) Andrea is fairly new to blogland and am sure would welcome some new friends so go and say hello :-)

Becky has made another fabulous sketch for us to follow this week :-) For my card I used a new Wild Rose Studio image,, isn't it cute :-) This one is called Cat in Tree :-)



I coloured the image with copics and added stickles and copic spica pens for sparkle :-) The papers are printed on my comp using my lovely Wild Rose Studio Spring Flowers CD :-) The sentiment is from a Simon Says Exclusives set and I thought it was just perfect with this image :-) The buttons are from my stash and I bought the flowers from the craft fair in Holland :-)

My new Tilda ;-)

I made this card following Simonne's fab sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge :-)



The lovely Tilda is one of the new ones that I pre ordered a whila ago. I have no idea what she is called ,,, :-) I coloured her with my fave copics and used a frame to try to make it look like she is holding onto it ,,, not sure I achieved that ,,, but I think it looks OK ! :-)



The papers are Basic Grey from the Wassail paper pad. The corners are spellbinders die cuts that were embossed and then stencilled with gold ink ,, to make them look 'verdigris' I also inked the frame with gold too, then threaded a ribbon through :-)
the sentiment is a WOJ one ,, which I masked part of as it says 'Celebrate the Everyday' which I can never quite understand ,,, ! :-/

I used some lovely gold lace ribbon ,,, prima flowers and a lovely charm that was a gift from Heidi at Simon Says Stamp :-) These lovely new Magnolia stamps will soon be availabe to order at Simon Says Stamp ,, I will keep you posted ! :-)

I just had to use this stamp :-) I was the lucky winner of the candy draw on Curt's blog a couple of weeks ago and this stamp was the candy ,,,, how cute is this !!! :-)

I followed Anne-Marije's fab sketch on the Create 4 fun Challenge ,,, hope I am still in time ,,, I didn't even let the stickles dry properly I am hurrying so much lol :-)

I coloured this lovely SNOW MUCH FUN image with copics and added icicle stickles and polar white flower soft for snow, aren't they cute catching snowflakes :-) The papers are My Mind's Eye and the snowflakes are various punches and die cuts. The sentiment is from a Simon Says Exclusives sentiment set
