Simon Says: Thanks/Thanksgiving

Hi all!Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

This week the theme is

Thanks/Thanksgiving

I have so much to be thankful for, a lovely family and friends, what more can a girl ask for!! :-) 

I made this card to send to a special friend using a Tim Holtz 3D Lumber Texture Fades Embossing Folder, a Simon's Exclusive Thanks and Leaves Clear Stamp Set  and Thankful Die 

The stamp set and beautiful Butterfly Adornment were in the November Card Kit, which has sold out, but the items are available to buy individually. 

I used Walnut Stain and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Inks to color the paper and then splattered with Black and Gold Sprays. When it was dry I used my finger and some Gold Gilding wax over the top. Looks so lovely and shimmery, and I love the smell of the wax too ;-)

and I finished the inside using a woodgrain cling stamp and Clear Embossing Ink to leave a watermark effect, I added a sprinkling of Gold Powder around the edges to add a little more interest.

Stampendous, House Mouse Merry Mice

It's time for a new House Mouse and Friends Challenge. This time the fabulous and super talented Sue K is the hostess and the theme is 

Anything Goes 

OR Option theme

In the Holiday Spirit 


I used a Stampendous House Mouse 'Merry Mice' Clear Stamp Set and made a tag to attach to a bottle of spirit! ;-)



I used a Simon's Stitched Banner Die Set to make the tag and used Lawn Fawn's lovely Christmas Really Rainbow Papers. I coloured the little mouse with Copic Markers and added a little texture snow with a Falling Snow Stencil, White Embossing Paste and a sprinling of Prisma Glitter
