Art Impressions 'Santa Paws'

Hi all :-) I hope you're all enjoying a fabulous weekend!! 

Christmas will soon be here ( in 109 days to be precise ;-)) and I never seem to have made enough tags come the big day so when I saw that the theme on the Art Impressions Blog was 'Tags or Bookmarks' I decided to make a couple of tags using this super cute Santa Paws Set which I won on a previous challenge.

I used a Simon's Exclusive Stitched Dress Up Tags Die Set and cut the tags out of Lipstick Red and Watercolor Papers. I then splattered the paper with Distress Resist and when it was dry I blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink over the top. 

I coloured with Copic Markers, fussy cut them out and used an embossing tool to round the little pups, make them look 'real' ;-) 

Don't you just love the little Labrador and Pug Pups!! so CUTE!! :-) 

I went over th ribbon with a Nuvo Shimmer Pen, looks lovely and glittery IRL, it shows up quite well on this pic. I also added dabs of glossy accents onto the fairy lights.

As You Like It. Fave Non Card Project and Why. I think giving a gift with handmade wrapping and tags makes the gifts so much more special. Also, I really don't like to use shop bought tags when I can use up all my little scraps of card to make something! I hate throwing any card away ;-)
