A lovely parcel arrived a couple of days ago, a crafty haul from Simon Says Stamp which is a gift to myself, because I'm worth it ;-)
Inside it, amongst a lovely load of other goodies was a set of 5 colou
rs of the new Hero Arts Ombre Ink Pads and I really wanted to try them out. The first one opened is the Pink to Red one. I don't think the red is very red, it is more of a dark pink. Lovely :-)
I made a shaker card following the very nice layout on the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.
I found the best way to keep the shading of the inks was to angle the ink pad so that only the lighter pink was in contact with the stamp and then slowly lower the angle as you reached the top. I really love the effect this has and am now itching to get the covers off the other ink pads :-)
