Crafty Ribbons ,,,,, Dawn’s Sketch :-)

Hi all :-) the last fortnight has flown by and it is time for a new theme over on the Crafty Ribbons Challenge. This time it is Dawn’s turn to choose and she has made us a gorgeous sketch to follow :-)

The design team have created some awesome projects for your inspiration, we are all featuring Hero Arts products this week,you don't have to use them to join in but we would love to see them used if you have them :-)

This card is similar to a card I made a while ago, which Amy really liked, and she wanted me to make a similar one for her boyfriends 18th Birthday so this is for him :-) He is studying music, hence the manuscript paper ,,,, :-)

I decided to make a Joy Fold card and I used this very cute Big Eyes stamp from Hero Arts, stamped him twice onto Neenah card and coloured with copics. I then layered him so that he is sitting properly on the branch :-) I will link all the products I used at the bottom of this post :-)

Inside View ,, the sentiment was done on the Silhouette Cameo ,,, LOVE it :-)

Happy Birthday Amy !! :-)

Hi all :-) Amy is celebrating her 19th birthday today with a pool party, BBQ and a sleepover ,,,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY :-)

This week on the Papertake Weekly Dawny is asking us to choose a previous PTW sketch :-) This was quite diffy as I do love all Dawny’s sketches ,,, invariably simple ,,, :-)

I followed sketch No 27

Of course I had to make Amy a card this week and as part of her pressie is a trip to London ( so sad that she grew out of Barbie’s ,,, much cheaper ,,,,, :-)) Anyways ,,,, I thought I would use 2 Penny Black stamps, La Soiree and Tower Bridge and make it look like she was walking along the Embankment,, she is not walking on water across the Thames !!!! :-)

I stamped Tower Bridge using Archival ink onto Neenah card ( though I should have used watercolor ) and coloured with Distress ink markers and ink pads. I then stamped La Soiree with Memento, coloured with copics and cut out. I sort of ticked glossy accents across her dress and sprinkled with red tinsel glitter to create lines of sparkle and added highlights using a white Galaxy marker and smudging. I used Basic Grey ‘Life of the Party papers and the lovely Velvet Blossoms were in the August card Kit and aren’t they just GORGEOUS ! I added a little black gem to the centre and popped one on her bag and 2 over a Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish cut out of black card.

I used a MFT Retro Squares border die, Amy Tangerine Thickers for the No19 and a Hero Arts Sentiment to finish :-)
