Rudolph the red nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose ,,,,
and if you ever saw it
you would even say it glowed ,,,,,, :-) Now the tune will be stuck in your head all day :-)

It was the lovely Cathy's turn to choose the theme this week and she chose

RUDOLPH ,, with the optional extra of brads :-)

I followed the fab sketch on the Sweet Stop Challenge I coloured the image with copics and added Stickles here and there. I used a nice big dollop of Glossy Accents for his shiny nose :-) The papers I used are also from the CD. I had a lovely bit of red organza ribbon with a gold swirly pattern on it and thought it looked perfect with his antlers ,,, so i went over them with a gold copic pen :-) The poinsettia is from a Tim Holz Prima Flowers collection and I added a brad to the center so that I did the 'optional extra' :-)

Thank you so much to everyone who joined in with our "Make a Gift" challenge last week,, you gave me some brilliant ideas for Christmas gifts ,,, if I get around to making them !! :-)

This week our challenge is PAPER PIECING !

This is one of my fave techniques as it is brilliant for those times when you make a right mess of colouring and you can rescue the image by covering it up with paper !! :-)

For my card I followed our lovely teamie Domi's fab sketch on the Penny Black Saturday Challenge :-)



I used my new Penny Black Stamp ,,Sweet Thing :-) this is a new release and as soon as I saw her I popped her in my basket ,, isn't she CUTE :-) I coloured her with copics and paper pieced her dress and bow with paper. I also paper pieced the bun case with glittered vellum.I masked the image and sprayed the backround in pale blue with my fabby copic air brush.The papers are Magnolia these are from the Yummy Tummy set :-).
Don't you LOVE those flowers ,,, I made these using my new Nellie Snellen flower punches,,, GORGEOUS !! To make them you need a set of 5 punches, 2 large and 2 medium flowers and the stamen. the flower punches come in a set of 2 , one punches and the other embosses. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the leaves, added the compulsory Star Dust Stickles and a few Robins Nest Dew Drops
the ric rak ribbon and buttons were in my drawer :-) oops almost forgot ,, I added a dollop of glossy accents on the cherry ,,, it looks real !! :-)
