Simon Says,,,, Bit Of Green

First of all a big thank you to everyone for leaving me 'Happy Birthday' messages yesterday ;-) I appreciate them very much ,, xx

Happy St Patricks day :-) Lots of partying going on today I think :-) To celebrate the Simon Says Stamp Challenge are joining in with a

Bit'O Green

Heidi is giving away a $25 shopping spree to the Simon Says Stamp store and with all the new products being listed every day there is a MASSIVE choice. The Nellie Snellen frames and punches are in stock ,, as well as all the NEW RELEASES of House Mouse stamps ,,,, sooo cute !! :-)

We have Gunn aka Ms Plum joining us in the Designer Spotlight this week :-) Gunn won the prize last week and we were amazed by her talent. I am sure she would appreciate a few of you popping over to say 'hello' and leave her some love :-) xx

The DT have all used some Basic Grey products on their creations this week and we would love to see them used on your cards too, but not necessary to enter the challenge. All you need is to use a Bit'O Green :-) easy !! :-)

I used my lovely new Gruffie from Stampabilities ,, isn't he cute! I love this stamp, this one is called Hammock Hibernation. I think this is a perfect stamp for Dad's or Hubby's !!
I coloured the image with copics and inked the edges with the new Tim Holtz distress inks, stormy sky and forest moss colours. I used Basic Grey papers from the Archaic set. I inked all the edges with aged mahogony ink. the flower is Prima which has been sprayed with glimmer mist and the sentiment is from a Simon says Stamp exclusives set :-) I used some mesh and Robin's Nest dew drops to finish. I made the string thing across the bottom by just knotting some string and inked it with antique lined to 'dirty' it :-)

I am entering this into the Cupcake Craft Challenge who have the same theme ,,, Green ! :-)

and also the Creative Inspiration Challenge ,, Green/Yellow/ White :-)

Gunn and the DT have made some gorgeous cards for you to see so hop on over to the challenge blog to see them :-)
I will be back later to announce the winner of my fortnightly candy and to start the next one ,,,, oooh what shall I choose this time ,,, hmmmm ?? :-)

ABC 'Q' for Quotations Challenge :-)

As soon as I saw the Q for Quotations theme on the ABC Challenge I thought I should go 'Tim Holtz' :-) I have never made tags before so thought it was about time I gave them a whirl :-)

We are being sponsored for this fortnight by Cute Daisy May
the lucky winner will have a choice of fabulous digi downloads :-)

We are also welcoming a new design team member ,, Sandie to our jolly group :-)Big waves to Sandie :-) I am sure you will soon settle in and get to know us all ,, phew ,, I am not the newbie anymore !!! Thanks Sandie :-) xx

I used my new Tim Holtz goodies I have just bought some tags, I coloured them with distress inks, spun sugar, stormy sky, black soot and antique linen. I then stamped images mainly from the new urban set and sprinkled perfect pearls, then sprayed with water to allow the ink to bleed underneath ,, as demo'd on the Tim Holtz blog.
For the first one I smothered a grungeboard butterfly with picket fence crackle paint and left it to dry , then inked it with distress inks. The quotation I used is also on the Tim Holtz urban set. I then added some metal flowers and a Muse charm and a bit of ribbon to finish. the second one is almost the same ,, just different stamps form the same set and I added a clock and some decoupaged butterflies. I added some crystal stickles to finish :-) I also used a Martha Stewart punch for the lower edges :-) Everything I used is available in the Simon Says Stamp store :-)

Thanks for looking :-) The DT have made some amazing creations for you to see so hop on over to the ABC Challenge to see them :-)
DT Helen has also made a fabulous tutorial on a side step card which you can see on the ABC Tutorial Challenge blog :-)
