House Mouse 'Ornament Candy'

Hi all :-) It's time for a new theme over on the  House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge,

This time the lovely Misti is hosting and the theme is 

Anything Goes 

+ the option of Leaves 

I used a new and gorgeous Stampendous, House Mouse Ornament Candy Cling Stamp to make a card. 

I coloured with Copic Markers and also used Prismacolor Pencils to sharpen up, and add highlights to some areas. The paper was a scrap I had left in my paper box and I added some twine, star dust stickles and a few little peppermints to finish.

It's my lovely hubby birthday today and this is the card I made for him! I coloured him in grey to match his hair ;-)

Isn't this pup adorable!! It's from a gorgeous pack of Suzy Plantamura Birthday Watercolor Prints. I love these packs, so handy and beautiful quality, you have to give them a try if you haven't already. There are 12 in a pack and are great value for money, fabulous for kids to color too!! Great Christmas stocking fillers!! CLICK HERE to go see!! ;-)

Although it says 'Watercolor Prints' you can use whatever you like to color and I used my trusty Copic Markers ;-) I also decorated the inside.

I used Doodlebug Gingham Linen Rainbow Petite Prints Paper Pack, I love this pack so much I am on my 2nd one now! I also added a few So Much Pun Sprinkles for a little extra fun ;-)

And I made an envelope to match. I hate to waste my precious paper so I stretch them as far as I can. I used the cut off edge strip inside and die cut the panel fron the envelope from behind the image ;-) 

I used a Mama Elephant Happy Mail Clear Stamp Set for the envelope

Simon Says Stamp Monday Steampunk Challenge

I decided to get all inky and grungy and had lots of fun decorating an Etcetera Mini Tag using the new Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide Ink along with a Tim Holtz Inventor 7 Cling Stamp and an Ideaology Baseboard Doll

I started by cutting a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper to fit the tag. I blended Crackling Campfire , Vintage Photo and a little black soot over the top and spritzed with water. I used a heat tool to speed up the drying and then used a Clear Embossing Ink Pad and Clear Embossing Powder to create a subtle gears design for the background. I then sprinkled with Paper Artsy Sunset Beach Infusions and spritsed with water. It was at this point I was thinking 'oohh errr'!! I was making a muddy mess, but I persevered ;-) 

To brighten up the 'look' I used Simon's Antique Gold Embossing Powder and the gears stamp from an older Visible image stamp set that is no longer available but is very similar to THIS ONE from All & Create . I then die cut some big gears and inked with oxide inks before sprinkling with Rusting Powder, spritzed with lemon juice and left it for a white to do its magic. I then brushed off the excess and sprinkled with some of the Antique Gold Embossing Powder to give them a lift ;-)

Isn't he a handsome guy!! I wish I knew his name, shall we call him Tom? I think he looks like a Tom :-)
