I made a couple of cards to add to my Christmas Card Box, it will soon be time to get them in the post! Time is flying by!! 

I used a Simon's Exclusive Postage Edge Die and Watercolor paper for the background, inked with Faded Denim and Peacock Feathers distress Oxide inks.  I used a Tim Holtz Great Outdoors Cling Stamp set  for the reindeer and the wood slice. 

The papers are from a Tim Holtz Christmas Mini 8x8 Paper Pack . I tore a strip of the text paper and then used my WeRMemory Keepers Machine to add a few stitches across the bottom. I also stitched around the backing paper with Gold Multimedia Thread. 

and I finished the insides. 

LOVE this We R Memory Keepers Sewing Machine!! If you haven't got one I definitely recommend  that you add it to your Christmas Gift list, you never know! Santa might leave you one under the tree!! ;-) 

Mine is in Mint but it is also available in a lovely pink colour;-)

Simon Says: 'Star Light, Star Bright'

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

This week we are inviting you to add a bright shiny star to your creation!

Star Light Star Bright

 The first star I see tonight;

I wish I may, I wish I might,

Please pop by to see what our fabulous guest Suman and the DT made this week, all of them are so gorgeous!! 

I had a fun time getting inky and made a Christmas canvas decoration.

I started by scrunching up a piece of Tim Holtz Tissue Wrap and then glued it to the Canvas, leaving the scrunchy texture. I then applied a coating of Gesso before adding colour with Distress Oxide Inks (Faded Denim, Fossilized Amber, Wilted Violet and Black Soot  randomly over the top.

I then die cut some Tim Holtz Stacked Stars from Grungepaper and smooched these in a puddle of the side inks. In the end I only used the blueish ones.  I used a text stamp to add some lettering and then randomly sprinkled with gold embossing to create a funky effect ;-)

I  then used a Tim Holtz Starry Layering Stencil and Embossing Paste to add some texture, While the paste was still wet I sprinkled with fine gold glitter dust 

I gold embossed some Simon Says stamp Artsy Star Shapes  and added some Star Adornments and some random sprinkles of gold embossing. 

I used a Tim Holtz Marquee Die Set, smothered with Vintage Platinum Glitter Dust for the lettering.
