Simon Says 'Winter Birthday' On The Wednesday Challenge

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week the challenge is

Winter Birthday

This week we are showcasing Lawn Fawn Products. You don't have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used

I used an Into The Woods Stamp And Die Set a Small Stitched Envelope Die a Happy Birthday Border Die and a Perfectly Plaid Paper Pack and made a card and coordinating gift card envelope

Aren't these little critters adorable, I am a huge fab of foxes and this one is particularly sweet and his little skunk friend is super cute :-)

I used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to colour the background and when it was completely dry I heat embossed with Sparkle Puff embossing Powder, my fave product for snow, I also inked up the snowy ground and embossed that too, it looks like real snow drifts don't ya think!? ;-)

I love this Small Stitched Envelope Die especially as these days most of the gifts I buy are in card form! Gone are the days for Barbies, Trucks and Jigsaw Puzzles ;-)

Simon Says: Be Square On The Monday Challenge

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

This week we are challenging you to

Be Square

You could choose to make a square card or box or use a square element on your creation! Whatever you decide to make we will be looking forward to seeing your project!

I made a square Post-It Note holder using a Tim Holtz Mini Crazy Cat and a Memory Box Grand Stick Frame Die

I actually made this for my craft room, I use a lot of post it notes for jotting down little reminders to myself and I also use them for masking. However, when my daughter saw it she thought it would be a lovely birthday gift for her flatmate so I will be sending it off to Scotland along with this coordinating card. I will have to make me another one ;-)

I used a Prima Paintables Salvage District Paper Pack for the background, I love that these resist the paints, and then coloured with Distress Crayons Set 1 , blending with my fingers and getting all messy ;-) I then distressed the edges and inked with Gathered Twigs Ink.

I love the Memory Box Grand Stick Frame Die layered a coupler of the die cuts to create a frame for the inked and textured panels. I will link all the products I used at the bottom of this post.
