Simon Says Stamp 'Stitched Heart Collage'

How are you all on this lovely sunshiny Sunday? I am here to share a card made using a brand spanking new  'Stitched Heart Collage'  Die from Simon Says Stamp. 

As you know I do love shakers and since I got a new Fuse Tool I am totally addicted! I watercolored the background using  Festive Berries Distress Ink and left to dry before cutting out the hearts. I made a pocket of sequins, using the Fuse and used my new Minc Machine to silver foil a die cut 'you.

Tim Holtz 'Bird Crazy'!

A while ago the lovely and super talented Anna-Karin made THESE TAGS using Micro Glaze as a resist for the Distress Ink, what a clever idea I thought, so I CASE'd her ;-)

I used a paint brush to apply the Micro Glaze to the areas of the bird, party hat and balloons that I wanted to remain white and then had a lovely time colouring with distress inks.

Simon Says Wednesday 'Something New' Challenge

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Party Challenge and we would like to wish you a Very Happy New Year!

This week the challenge is

SOMETHING NEW

We are showcasing Wplus9 Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used!

I used a  'new' Wplus9 Going Places Clear Stamp set and I am heading for 'New Horizons' ;-)

I made this while thinking about Sean and Amy, they  have both flown the nest and are making new lives for themselves in far away countries. On the one hand I am sad to see them go, on the other I am so proud of them and their achievements and I know that they will both do well. 

I stamped the image and then created a cloudy sky using a cloud mask a copic B41 and a Copic Air Brush. I paper pieced the balloon and the basket and coloured the little bear in with copic markers E30, E31, E34 R20. 

The little bear needed to be waving at something, so I used a little  Cat from memory Box, having 7 cats myself I thought it worked quite well :-)
