Stamp Something ,,,,,, Valentine :-)

Hi again ,,back with a card for the Stamp Something Challenge :-) The theme this week is perfect for combining !!

I love the WOJ Gnome images especially ,,, very cute :-) I followed the fab sketch on the Create 4 Fun Challenge Iused my A Little Bit Of Magic image, coloured with Copics, using mainly C00, C0 and some reds. The papers are from 3 Bugs In a Rug and red SU card. I embossed a circle with a Swiss Dots folder, stitched all the edges and added Star Dust Stickles. I used my Cricut to cut the 'Love' and added a Grungeboard Die Cut heart ,, coloured and stickled , a ribbon, slider and Dew Drops to finish :-)

This week it was Anne's turn to choose the theme and she chose

For my card I used this cute Meljen Designs Happy Panda image I wanted to keep it as simple as possible so I stuck to a Black/ White combo. I coloured the image with Copics and the papers are mainly just plain white card ,I embossed a panel with a distressed stripes folder and added a strip of spotty Doodlebug. The gingham ribbon is Papermania. I added Star Dust Stickles and a few drops of Black Enamel accents for faux pearls ,, I also dotted some Glossy Accents on his nose :-)

I haven't joined in WOYWW for ages ,,, Wednesdays are a busy day for me and I don't usually have the time ,,, but I intend to make it a point every week from now on ,,,, :-) I do love having a snoop around other peeps crafty places and know that I am not the only oine who lives in a complete mess !!! My excuse is that if I tidy up then my mojo goes too ,,, well ,, it MIGHT !!! ,, so not gonna risk it !! :-)


Well ,, my new bit of fabby kit is right there ,,, an air compressor !! I LOVE it ,, I was REALLY brave and turned it on although I did use a copic that I had 2 of just in case I blew it up :-) Can you see what I am about to work on ,, can you guess what challenge that will be for lol :-) oohh and my fabby new ATG gun !! no more cards falling to bits !! YAY !!



Do you like me new mug ?? , it says 'HOLLYWOOD' on it ! ,, I bought that in the gift shop at the hotel we stayed at for the CHA ,, It is HUGE and perfect for my tea :-)

Good Morning all :-) Hope you are all well and ready for a new theme on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge :-)

We have some fabby news ,,Kathy Racoosin who is also a designer for Penny Black has agreed toi join the team !! Woo Hoo !! It was so lovely to get to meet her when I was at the CHA,, please pop by her blog to say hello and see her wonderful creations,,The Daily Marker. Welcome aboard Kathy :-)

THANK YOU for all your entries last week !! We had over 600 entries !! Woo Hoo !! Now I know that the theme this week is a little more tricky ,,, but lets face it ,,, how many more cards do we need stuffed in boxes !!! Make something else for a change !!! How about a nice wall hanging for your room or a little gift for someone special :-)

This week we would like to see ANYTHING BUT A CARD and the Design Team are featuring Tim Holtz so if you have any Tim Holtz products we would love to see them.

Tim Holtz made this tag at the CHA as a demo using Distress Stain, his new Papillon stamp set,an ideology Plaquette and a Pen Nib the Ribbon is from Tim's ideology range too. This is my keepsake and I will be popping it in the album :-)

For my creation I decided to make a scrapbook album of my trip to the wonderful City of Angels ,,, Los Angeles !! :-)

It was so nice to get down and inky with my Tim Holtz goddies ( edited ,,, goddies ?? was that a Freudian slip !! lol ,,, GOODIES !! ),,, something I haven't done for AGES but I am going to keep it up !! I REALLY enjoyed myself . The basic album was made using an old Bind -It -All machine but I saw the fab Cinch from We R Memories at the CHA and LOVED it ,, much easier to use. I used fab paper from a Tim Holtz Lost and Found Paper Stack, Tag, Distress Inks, Die Cut Grungeboard Elements. I inked these with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and then embossed with Vintage Photo Distress powder,, they look rusty eh !! I also used Timeworks Mask, ( this covered up an oopsie !! I had made 3 black pearls in the bottom right corner with Enamel Accents, then leaned over and smudged it all over my cardi !! what a mess I made ,, I tried to remove the splodge and it went from bad to worse !! ,, don't look too close !!! :-)) Mini Ornates Stamps, and Weathered Clock stamp Game Spinners, Film Strip Ribbon, I stamped CHA on that :-) I used a Bottle top and epoxy sticker, a brand new range that will be available to buy in the Simon Says Stamp Store ,, I was lucky to get a couple of samples ,, I did beg the nice man on the Bottle Top booth :-)!! I used a 1" punch to punch out an angel from a Tattered Angel catalogue and topped with a clear epoxy sticker.! I almost forgot ,, all the edges were inked with distress inks and distressed with a Tim Holtz paper distresser, fab tool :-)

Papertake Weekly ,,, better late than never !!! :-)

A card at last !! :-) I bought an air compressor today and HAD to plug it in to make sure it worked ,,, I was worried that I might blow up my copics so I used a duplicate but it was OK ,, fabby in fact !! :-)

I did mention in an earlier post that we are sponsored by Whiff of Joy and one lucky entrant will win a lovely stamp,see earlier post or go to the Papertake Weekly Challenge blog to see it :-)

ADD A HEART !! easy peasy :-)

I really wanted to play with my compressor so I stamped and cut out some Hero Arts fluffy clouds and stuck them to white card with temporary adhesive spray ,,, then I went to town airbrushing !! :-) I used a very cute Penny Black Gifts for You stamp, which I masked too and created an airbrushed background :-) I coloured the image with Copics and added Star Dust stickles, a charm and a few white Robin's Nest Dew Drops for bling :-) The DP is from Bo Bunny, the flower is Prima, sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist and I stamped the sentiments with alphabet sets in brown Memento ink. For the flower center I cut out the 'Love Is' and inked the edges slightly with pink chalk ink, then used an epoxy sticker ( coming soon to Simon Says Stamp along with loads of bottle tops !! )

This is my compressor ,,, fab eh !! Expect to see loads of airbrushing in the coming days ,,,, :-)

CHA piccy's :-)

What a fabulous time I had at the CHA !!! The highlight of the trip was meeting the Simon Says Stamp team !! It was just so nice to finally get to meet the people I have been emailing for such a long time !!
Unfortunately not sure what was wrong with my camera but lots of photo's are just not there, so I don't have so many to show you :-( ,,, this one was taken from the Simon Says Stamp blog ,, although one was taken with my camera it is not there !!
On the photo above there is Lin, (a friend of Linda's), Steph, Heidi, Sarah and Me and Linda in front :-) we had a lovely lunch together and it was so nice to get to know each other :-)

This was the entrance to the fabulous CHA trade show !!

It was so nice to meet the lovely Michelle O at the Stampavie booth :-) The new stamps are fabulous too ,,, soo cute !!

AND I saw a few of Tim's fab demo's ,,, here again my photography skills failed and most were very blurred :-( ,,,I think it was me, not my camera that was at fault !! I think I must have just had the wrong settings on !! Tim has some fab new products being released ,, stamps, papers,, inks and lots of embellies ,,, absolutely MUST HAVES ,, you can see them here on the Simon Says Stamp Blog

This was a fab creation made by Tim using alot of his new products ,,,fab eh !!

These are made using Wendy Vecchi's Art Parts ,,, fabulous products !! we definitely need these too !!

And last but not least here is Heidi and her hubby Jason who are AWESOME !!! They really were fabulous and made me feel so welcome, I can't tell you how brilliant it was ,, you would have had to have been there !!! A fantastic experience from start to finish !! :-)

Stamp Something ,,,, Digi

Hi all :-) Time for a new theme on the Stamp Something Challenge ,,,

Something Digi ,,,

we are sponsored by various digi companies and the DT all use different ones so there is alot of variety for you to see :-)

I was allocated my digi from Meljen Designs which are exclusively available from Whimsey Stamps

I chose this super cute Tweet Heart Birds stamp :-) I coloured it with Copics and decoupaged the heart. I inked around the edges with Stormy Sky and Forest Moss Distress Inks , I added Star Dust and Platinum stickles and glittered the heart with crystal ultrafine glitter. The papers are from the now closed Funky Fairys digi papers. I bought the ribbon at the Ally pally last year and the gems are from Kaiser Craft. I did the sentiment on my comp and used my SU oval punches. the Ivory card is also from SU.

I chose to use this fab Best Friends stamp from the Wild Rose Studio. I coloured the image with Copics and added Star Dust stickles here and there, I also used a gel pen on the jewelery and shoes. The papers are also from the Wild Rose Studio and I used a Martha Stewart border punch, Prima flowers, gems, ribbon and a charm to finish :-)

Simon Says ,,,, Love is in the Air

Love is in the air ,,,, do you remember that song ?? Oohh I used to think John Paul Young was gorgeous !! :-) You can hear the song on You Tube here :-) Turn it on and listen to it while you're hopping around to see the DT creations :-)

We want to see some 'LOVE' on your creations for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week :-) Valentine's day is fast approaching and lots of challenges are having a similar theme so plenty of scope to combine challenges !! :-)

Well ,,, I just HAD to use this House Mouse Throwing Daisy Petals stamp !!!! PERFECT for the theme I thought,, and you all know I luves me mousies !!! :-) Oohh ,, we must have had a ickle hole somewhere and we had some of these litte fella's getting into the cupboard under the sink !! We caught them and set them free ,, sooo cute !! Luckily our 7 cats didn't get them first !! Amy wanted us to keep them as pets ,,,, hmmmm ,,, !!!!

I coloured the image with me trusty Copics and inked around the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink. The papers are Tim Holtz Shabby Vintage paper pad and I made the strip with white card, sprayed with Snow Angel Glimmer mist ( very delicate pink). I then stamped a Penny Black mouse footprint stamp along the eges and stamped ' loves me, loves me not' which is a Magnolia stamp accross the middle . I used a Martha Stewart Lace Heart border punch and Frond Leaf punch and added some Prima flowers . The delicate tulle ribbon was in my drawer and the charm was a gift from my HM teamie, America :-)

ABC Christmas Challenge ,, C for Clean and Simple

Good Morning all :-)

Its time for a new theme on the ABC Christmas Challenge. This time it is Helen's time to choose the theme ,,

CLEAN AND SIMPLE + Helen's fab sketch to use :-)

I must admit I did struggle a bit with this ,,, but then I went looking for inspiration on Mandi, aka Enchanted Occasions blog . Mandi is fabulous at the CAS look and I CASED this card, thanks Mandi :-) I love this card ,,, so quick and easy to make ,, I intend to make loads of these ready for next Christmas !! :-) The blue card is from SU ( bought from Mandi) and I used some hammered white card and plain white card which was embossed with a Swiss Dots folder. The snowflake is a Spellbinders Snowflake Wonder die cut and I used a Martha Stewart Icicle border punch too. The Noel stamp is from Hero Arts and I stamped it with blue Brilliance ink. For the sparkle I used Crystal ultrafine glitter on the snowflake and stickles everywhere else ,, finished with the ribbon and a few gems :-)

Good Morning ,, another scheduled post, today I will be flying back to London on the first leg of my LONG journey home ,,,

Well here we are another Tuesday and time for a new theme on the Papertake Weekly Challenge,, this is a very easy one ,,,,

I used this very cute Rosie with Presents stamp. I coloured the image with Copics and added Star Dust stickes on her skirt and around the edges. I used a clear gel pen on the ribbon and her hair band and some 3D glitter on her pom poms. The papers are from a Bearly Mine CD which I have had for ages,, lovely papers !! I used a Martha Stewart Happy Birthday punch, added some tulle ribbon, a flower and some gems to finish :-)

It is time for a new theme over on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge This time it is Lori's turn to choose the theme and being the lovely romantic that she is she is going with a Lovey Dovey theme

I used this very cute House Mouse Love Letter stamp. I coloured the image with Copics and decoupaged the mouse and inked around the edges with Stormy Sky Distress Ink . The papers are Bo Bunny and I used a Martha Stewart Mouse Border punch and a Lace Scalloped Heart punch, the pink card behind it was coloured wth a copic and sprayed with Pearl Glimmer mist ,, it looks lovely and shimmery IRL :-) I added a ribbon and some little hert gems to finish
