For my card I used this lovely LOTV bear stamp from the Christmas set ,,, I thought it was a good choice as he is carrying 3 pressies :-) I used 3 different designs of paper from My Minds eye and added 3 Robins Nest Dew drops and 3 Flowers which are a mix of Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts :-) The sentiment is also from a LOTV set. I used a mix of Star dust Stickles and Diamond Dust for sparkle :-)

I decided to make a Luminary this week ,,, the sketch I thought could work quite well if I could find some stripey paper ,,,, after a little rummage I found this from My Minds Eye ,,, a Christmas Luminary it is then !! Everything I used on this I have had in my stash for at least a year !! I made a couple of these before ,, very quick and easy to do and a lovely gift idea I think !! You can see the instuctions here I just added some punched snowfakes and glimmer dots and that was it ,, done and dusted ,,, unlike the house ,,, ugh !!

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge ,,,,,, Monochromatic

Thanks for all your fab entries to our Schooltime Challenge :-) The last 2 weeks have flown by and it is time for a new theme over on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge
This time it was Natascha's turn to choose the theme and she chose ,,,

MONOCHROMATIC ,,,,, use one colour, though you can use different colours for the images.

I decided to go with 'Feeling a bit Green' though on the photo the papers look a bit brown ,, they are in fact a yukky green colour :-) I used my new Bunny Boo Boo Happy Hopper stamp ,, cute eh ! :-) I coloured the image wih Copics and used Glossy Accents on the thermometer used distress ink around the edges. The papers are Papermania and I added star dust stickles here and there for sparkle. The flowers are Prima Lilliput Roses ,,, gorgeous !!! I used a Martha Stewart Icicle border punch added a ribbon and a few Robins Nest Dew Drops to finish.

Just Cute Bears ,,, 1st DT card :-)

Good morning all :-) Hope you're all enjoying a weekend of crafting ,,, forget the housework !! It will still be there next week :-)

I have now officially joined the Just Cute Bears Challenge DT Woo Hoo !!!

Thw challenge is fortnightly so you have 2 whole weeks to make a card !!! No excuses !! :-)

This time the theme is BABIES,,, so a card/creation with babies in mind. The optional extra is Gingham ,,, ribbons, papers, embellies ,,, lots of choice :-) Of course there must be a bear on there somewhere too ,,,:-)

I love baby cards ,,,, always so very cute :-)

For my card I used my lovely Penny Black Baby Hammock stamp, coloured with copics and the edges were inked with Spun Sugar distress Ink and stickled with star dust. The papers are Funky Fairys which unfortunately are not available any more . I used SU Close to Cocoa card for layering and SU Baby Boy ribbon. The border punch is from Martha Stewart and the flowers are Prima ,, I added a spray of pearls and a few single pearls to finish

I was asked by a friend to make a thank you card so that was my starting point :-) I used this lovely old faithful House Mouse Throwing Daisy Petals, coloured with copics and the edges inked with Stormy Sky distress ink. The papers are a mix of Basic Grey and some Crafty Individuals and SU card for layering. The ribbon was in my drawer, the rose is from Prima and the sentiment is from a SU set

Thanks for all your fab entries to our lovely photo inspiration challenge :-) this weel we are joining in with loads of other challenges and have
HALLOWEEN as our theme too ,,,, lots of chances to combine !! :-)

The DT have all used embossing folders on their creations this week but you don't have to to join in ,, we would like to see embossing is you hav them though :-)

As usual Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a trolley dash around her fabulous Simon Says Stamp store ,, every time I pop in I am amazed at all the new stuff available ,,, so many new brands ,, I LOVE the Popcorn Bears and SWALK stamps and have you seen these new Laurence Attril for Stampavie stamps ,,, GORGEOUS !!!

I decided to amke a card and a little sweetie bag to go with it ,,, all the liquorice allsorts have gone now lol ,, I love them,, especially the plain black ones :-)



For my card I followed the fab sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge Heddi very kindly sent me a few of these lovely Studio G halloween stamps. They appear to be out of stock at the mo ,, not surptisingly as they are only $1 each !! I am sure they will ba back in store soon :-)




For the haunted house I first made the background with distress inks , Spiced marmalade, dusty concord and black soot, then the house was stamped with Archaival black ink and rhen sprayed with silver glimmer mist. The papers are Magnolia So Spooky paper pack and black/grey coredinations. I used a Cuttlebug distressed stripes folder ,, which is also OOS ,, am not doing very well this week !! I am sure it will be available again soon :-) I used a Tim Holtz Ticket die cut and Halloween stamp from the Odds and Ends set Everything was inked with the distress inks :-)

I cut the little bag on my Cricut . Ths cute ghost is also a Studio G stamp. I cut him out and smothered him with Picket Fence Crackle paint and dirtied him a bit with black soot ink.

I made a Candle and tag :-) I love making candles ,, so easy to do and I particularly like to use stamps that don't need colouring ,,, this Fantasy Tree from Penny Black is perfect I think !! Just add stickles and glitter ,, a ribbon and you're done :-)



The tag was a quick and easy make too ,, I inked the background with distress inks ,, stamped the tree in brown and some Tim Holtz birds ,, added a T H ticket and a Spellbinders snowflake and that was it :-)

OK ,, now for my card :-) I decided to follow Dawny's first sketch challenge( more or less !! )

A dear friend is in hospital at the moment and I made this card for her, she hasn't got a poorly ear or leg tho lol :-)



I love this Cast of Characters stamp and as I had never inked it I really wanted to use this one for my friend. She was in charge of the local SPCA until very recently so I thought she would appreciate a few little furry friends :-)I coloured the image with Copics and the papers are Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby papers. The flowers are Prima and the beautiful rose in the center is from Wild Orchid Crafts , the gorgeous ribbon is from there too :-)

I think this must be THE fastest card I ever made !! I am usually VERY slow but I wanted to finish this card before the film started at 9pm and I will be out all day tomorrow so I just HAD to do it !!! :-)
My lovely friend Ria has challenged us all to C.A.S.E her card and enter her World Cardmaking Day blog candy ,,she is offering 2 CC Designs stamps !!

This is my effort,,



I used my cute Shy Kiki La Rue stamp, coloured her with Copics and added Star Dust Stickles here and there. the papers are Papermania and the ribbon, flowers and charm were in my drawers :-)

Time for a new theme over on the Stamp Something Challenge

ITS A CELEBRATION !!

We are spoonsored by Sweet'n Sassy Stamps so a wonderful prize of gorgeous digi images on offer :-) The DT were given a choice of images to use too ,,,thanks Korin and Dan :-)

For my card I chose to use 3 images from the Olivia Celebrates set. The Owl, the Scroll and the Cap. I also followed the fab sketch on the Sweet Stop Challenge

It is graduation time so I thought this card might come in handy ,,, not that I know anyone who is graduating ,,, but ,,, someone might buy it :-) I coloured the image with Copics and decoupaged the Owl ,, cut around her feathered hands and popped the scroll in, I then added some glossy accents to her beak and tallons :-) The papers are PERFECT !! guess what they are called !! Olivia by Basic Grey !! :-) I inked the background with Stormy Sky Distress ink and then added star dust stickles around the edge. I punched some leaves for her to sit on using a McGill punch, added some green Robins Nest Dew Drops and a Simon Says Stamp exclusives stamp for the sentiment.

Did you ever do this when you were kids ,,, in an old tractor tyre ?? hanging on for dear life as you hurtled down the edge of the slag heap lol :-),, simple fun eh !! ( for those of you who don't know what a slag heap is ,, it's a mountain of stones and bits of coal,, the waste from coal mines :-)) nice memories ,,,,, ha ha apart from when you fell off and skinned yer knees and knuckles ,, anyway ,,, moving on ,,,, :-)
I used my lovely new HM stamp ,, this one is called Head over Heels I coloured the image with copics and added glossy accents and rock candy distress stickles to the berries. The papers are Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg papers ( love these papers ,, brill for autumn cards ) I added some organza ribbon, a rose and a few Robins Nest Dew Drops to finish ,, the sentiment is from a Pure Innocence stamp.

Simon Says ,,,,,Autumn Photo Inspiration Challenge

Steph (Heidi's right hand girl) sent us this photo months ago and we thought it was perfect to make it into an autumn photo inspiration challenge :-)

I was just having a browse there myself earlier and they now have the Laurence Attril for Stampavie stamps ,,, GORGEOUSS I must admit I hadn't heard of him before ,, but I definitely NEED some of these !! CComp Popcorn Bear stamps AND the CComp SWALK stamps are New In too, plus loads of other new goodies !!! :-)

For my card I followed Jo's fab sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge :-)



As soon as I saw this gorgeous Turning Over a New Leaf House Mouse stamp I knew it would be PERFECT for my card :-) I coloured the image with Copics,decoupaged the leaves and added star dust stickles here and there and the edges were inked with Stormy Sky distress ink. The papers are Basic Grey Indian Summer, these were a gift from a lovely blog buddy xx:-) I used my new EK Success swirl punch FANTASTIC !! ( temporarily out of stock but will be back soon :-)) I love these punches ,, they even punch through thick cardstock, even thicker than SU !! brilliant !! I used a Tim Holtz Elegant Flourish Die Cut and Grungepaper to make a swirl. The sentiment is a Stampendous one which I adapted :-) I added a few Robins Nest Dew Drops and some Martha Sewart ribbon to finish :-)
