Happy Hopper Mummy :-)

I made this card following Ariana's lovely sketch on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge :-) I thought it was PERFECT for a baby card :-)



I used my new Happy Hopper Love Bunny stamp ,,, sooo cute :-)doesn't she look a proud Mummy :-) I coloured the image with copics and inked the edges with pink chalk ink then smothered with star dust stickles :-) The papers are Funky Fairys and the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp exclusives set. the buttons were in the prize I won on the Peggy Loves Vintage Easter Challenge ,,, thanks Peggy xx the ribbon is SU and I used a Martha Stewart heart border punch.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blogoversary and Blog Hop

Before announcing the challenge this week I have some sad news :-( Timea has resigned from the team due to family and work commitments. Heidi and the whole team are really sorry to see her go but know that her family must always come first. We all wish her the very best for the future and hope that she will consider re-joining us when circumstances allow :-) In the meantime we will be stalking her blog :-) We love you Timea xx

I saw a fabulous cake on the Claire's Blog ( Waltsingmouse Makes)and thought it would be perfect for this challenge :-) I had to wait several hours for Claire to have the template ready for sale and think I must have been the very first customer :-) In fact there was a glitch and the template showed up as free !!! When I downloaded it I knew it was a mistake so I emailed Claire to ask her to send me an invoice ,, and she very kindly refused to let me pay ! How nice is that of her !! Thanks Claire I really appreciate it xx You can buy this template in the Waltsingmouse Stamps Store

Now onto my cake, I more or less copied Claire's sample ,, hard to top hers !! I just changed the colours from brown to ivory and the stamps I used ! I have to say that this template was a dream to use ,,, no faffing about altering sizes,, which has happened to me lots of times before ,,, this fit together perfectly ! :-)

I used a Mod Background Simon Says Stamp Exclusives set
to decorate the lids. I stamped them with white pigment ink and embossed with silver pearl embossing powder.





I added Kaisercraft gems for extra sparkle and finished off with large ivory bows. The sides were decorated with ivory cream filling and strawberry jam ric rac :-)



I decorated the liners with sherbert and pearl glimmer mist.

ABC Christmas J for Jingle Bells Challenge

Thanks for all your lovely entries for the ABC Christmas Challenge 'ICE' Challenge :-) The last 2 weeks have just flown by !

The theme for the next fortnight was chosen by Annie and she chose

J FOR JINGLE BELLS with the added option of Punches

I don't have any stamps from Simon Says Stamp with jingle bells on it !!,,will have to recitify this anomaly soon !! so I used one of my new House Mouse Christmas stamps and 'cheated' by adding a jingle bell to the bow :-) I coloured the image with copics and added ice stickles for sparkle and distress rock candy stickles on the beads and baubles as this dries 3D and adds dimension. :-)



The ribbon bow is pure silk and is so touchy feely gorgeous :-) , the papers are My Minds Eye and the sentiment is a making Memories rub on. the gorgeous flower is from a Tim Holtz Poinsettia limited edition pack i used a Martha Stewart Holly Leaf punch too :-)

I made this =card following Joanne's fabulous sketch on the Magical Crafts Challenge :-)

I used my lovely PB Rainin Daisies stamp and for a change coloured with distress inks instead of my usual copics :-) I need to get back into practice with watercolouring ,,, the copics have made me lazy :-)



The papers are from Craft Creations and then black card for layering. I did loads of silver embossing for this ,,, was lovely to get out me heat gun and dust off the cobwebs !! :-)

Domi's Wedding Card Challenge

As many of you know, our lovely Domi is marrying her sweetheart Uli on the 15th May ,,,, not long now !! Now we couldn't let such a momentous occasion pass us by uncelebrated so we are setting you an extra special challenge !

The challenge is to make a Wedding Card for Domi and her fiance Uli ,, and post them to her.


The prize is this gorgeous lot of wedding themed goodies from Heidi at Simon Says Stamp :-)



So now all you have to do is make a Wedding Card. Only cards received by Domi and Uli will be eligible to win the prize :-)

For my card I chose to use the Little Honey's White Rabbit, cute eh ! :-) I coloured the image with copics and coloured the edges with spun sugar distress ink. the papers are from Crafty Individuals and the ribon and gems are from Kaisercraft. I used a X cut border punch and a Clare Curd sentiment.

Wild Rose Studio Best Friends card :-)

The theme this week on the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge was chosen by my lovely frirnd cathy and is 'Friendship' ,, lovely theme :-)

For my card I followed Anne Marije's lovely sketch on the Create 4 Fun Challenge :-)



I used this lovely Best Friends stamp from the Wild Rose Studio I coloured the image with copics and added a few drops of stickles and glitter pen here and there :-) The papers are Basic Grey and Brown SU card. The flowers are Prima and a Wild Orchid Crafts Rose ,, all sprayed with Glimmer Mist. the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp Exclusives set

Totally Papercrafts Sketch Challenge

Good Morning from a lovely sunny Gozo :-) The weather is gorgeous at the moment ,, sunny but not TOO hot :-) Will get out my book and relax on a sun lounger I think :-) I know a couple of you in the UK are planning a camping weekend so I hope you have nice weather too :-)

anyways ,,, onto this weeks Totally Papercrafts Challenge :-) It was Joanne's turn to set the theme this week and she chose to make a fabulous sketch for us to follow :-)

We are being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp this week and there are some gorgeous Basic Grey papers and epoxy brads on offer so pop on over to the challenge blog to see them ! :-)



I loved the triangular shapes on the sketch and thought it was perfect to use this fabulous HM Floss Boss stamp with it :-) I coloured the image with copics and added clear gel pen to the teeth ,, well they needed to be shiny with all the flossing ! :-) The papers are from a Basic Grey origins paper pack and SU Chocolate chip for layering. I also added some Robins Nest dew drops to finish :-) The sentiment is from a Simon Stamp exclusives set



I made this card for my daughter, Amy, who has had braces on her teeth for about 15 months and her teeth look pretty perfect to me so I am hoping the dentist will remove them soon. I will give her this when they are removed and her teeth all lovely and polished ,,, I am sure she will have a big smile then :-)

Sweet Sketch Wednesday and LOTV Challenges

It was my birthday recently and Joey and Sue had both sent me a voucher to spend at the Ally Pally ( they had to convert them to cash lol ) I chose several LOTV stamps with it :-) Thanks so much girls xx

When I saw what the theme was on the Lili of the Valley Challenge , Here Comes Summer, I had a choice of stamps to use ,,, the BBQ bear ,,, bears with flowers ,,, oohh the choice was so difficult, but in the end decided to go with this gorgeous one with a bear on a deck chair :-)




I followed Arlana's lovely sketch on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge :-)I stamped the image onto vanilla SU cardstock and I must admit I did have a bother colouring it, either my pens were slightly dry or the paper is much more absorbant than the white I generally use. Anyho ,,, I think it looked OK in the end. The papers are from a Beach Fun pad from American Traditional Designs ,, I have had this forever and not used it ! The flower is prima and the central one is from Wild Orchid Crafts, sprayed with glimmer mist, as is compulsory :-) I added a few dots of stickles, unfortunately the camera has picked it up too much, the little bird isn't quite so sparkly IRL :-)The ribbon was a gift from Debby and the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp Exclusives set I then saw a 'wish you were here' stamp in the same set and that got me thinking ,,,,, postcard,,, so I went on the hunt for a postcard download and found this one free on the Tammy Tutterow site, so I made a postcard too :-)

I made this card using a CD from Peggy Loves Vintage. I was very lucky to win lots of lovely goodies in her Easter Challenge and the image I used here was on one of the CD's that I chose :-) There are so many images on one CD and they are so easy to use too ,,, no colouring ! :-) I printed the image twice so I could cut out some of the flowers and leaves to decoupage them. The sentiment is a SU stamp, I added stickles and a ribbon to finish ,,, very quick and easy :-)

I would like to dedicate this card to the ABC Design Team and to Peggy :-) Thank you all xx

Simon Says Buttons, Bow's and Bling :-)

Good Morning :-) Thank you all so much for your lovely entries to our Things With Wings Challenge, we had one of the highest number of entries so a big THANKS !!

I followed Jo's lovely layout on the Sketch Saturtday Challenge and really liked Jo's idea of using a strip of acetate in the middle :-) I used my lovely Cheeky Rockability stamp that was a gift from Heidi ,, isn't she sexy ! I must admit this is my fave Greeting Card stamp ( at the moment, I am prone to changing my mind :-)) I coloured her with copics cut her out and sat her on a Martha Stewart punched Happy Birthday. The paper is from a Basic Grey Sugar Rush paper pad and I thought all the bows on the paper were just perfect for this challenge. I sprayed black card with glimmer mist
and it looks lovely and shimmery IRL :-)
I didn't have a black flower so I used my copic air brush to spray a large one and a rose with black marker. I added a few Robin's Nest Dew Drops and a ribbon and buttton from my stash :-)

Do Something Different !!

What a challenge we have for you on the Papertake Weekly !! I can tell you this one had me a bit worried :-) I bought some sticky backed canvas with the intention of making some lovely roses ,,, just like Tim's !! Mine looked NOTHING like his ,,, I should take piccy's and let you see my horrid attempt ,,, then I made a card, spraying the canvas with glimmer mist and stamping a silhouette onto it ,,,, OK, not what you would call 'Lovely' ,, so when I saw this Desk Caddy on Chris's blog I just thought 'YAY' I can do that !! :-)

I followed Kathleen Innes tutorial and it was very easy to make :-) I used a 12x12 cream card and some 12x12 paper from Craft Creations,,, I love this blue :-)



The butterfly is from Judikins and I inked it with blue brilliance ink onto card and velllum. The vellum was then sprinkled with holographic powder,, lovely and glittery :-) I sprayed sticky backed canvas with silver, denim blue and glacier glimmer mists and IRL it looks so shimmery :-) I then used my big shot to cut out a circle and a Nellie Snellen frame for each side. I added a few gems and a gorgeous cream silk ribbon to finish :-)



I think this would make a lovely girlie gift filled with pamper goodies ! :-)

Sketch and Stash Challenge 34

Good morning bloggers :-) I hope everyone who was stuck in far away places due to the Volcano has managed to get home :-) What a palaver it was for so many people ! I was very lucky in that my flight came back as scheduled but I did think I could be in Yorkshire for weeks ! I was staying with parents so at least I would have been OK and a few lovely blog buddies live nearby so I was already planning crafty days in their cubby holes :-)

Onto this weeks Sketch and Stash Challenge, Becky has designed a fabulous sketch for us to follow and it is a particularly good one for all those larger stamps :-)

The papers are neglected Papermania ones and the fancy border is an ew Do Crafts XCut punch :-) I really didn't know what sentiment to use with this ,,,,, any ideas ?? I hand wrote this one but it is not stuck down so I can change it :-)

I also used a little crackle glaze on the cup. The papers are My Mind's Eye Bella Bella paper pack and SU Close to Cocoa card for layering. the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp exclusives set and I thought it was just perfect with this image :-) The little bone button was in a button pack which Jo Boots sent to me a while ago :-) Thanks Jo xx
