Simon Says Stamp Picture Book Moose

Hi all and welcome to the start of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event hosted by the fabulous Tracey McNeeley aka In My Creative Opinion ! This is the 8th year that Tracey has hosted this event and Simon Says Stamp is thrilled to get the ball rolling on Day 1!

I am always making last minute tags to attach to gifts and as they are generally rushed they are invariably, err shall we say, pretty basic as in just a die cut tag, so this event is a perfect kick up the butt to get me more organised ;-)

I made a few tags to share today

For my first tag I used a super cute Picture Book Moose and Dress Up Tags Dies 

I then made a set of 3 using the trio of  adorable Picture Book Penguins and Large Tags Dies  ;-)

For this first one I used a Secret Picture Book Penguin Die

For this next one I used a Happy Penguin Die 

and last but not least this last one was made using a Hugging Penguin Die

Simon Says: Anything Goes

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week the challenge is 

Anything Goes!

We are showcasing our very own Simon Says Stamp Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used

It's Thi's last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)

I used Mandy's Flowers Clear Stamp Set  and Coordinating Die Set and made a card and matching envelope.

I always try to buy the dies to go with stamp sets as I really dislike fussy cutting, but this die is essential with this stamp set I would say, I would never have manages to fussy cut around those flowers so neatly ;-) 

For the brick wall background I made a reusable stencil using a Tim Holtz Mixed Media 3 Die and Acetate, I have used this stencil several times now! I blended Fired Brick Distress Oxide Ink over the stencil and then pounced a little Gathered Twigs over to top to add some contrast, they look like real bricks don't ya think!! ;-)

I coloured with Copic Markers and Prismacolor Pencils, the pencils add  a little extra depth of color I think. 

and I finished the inside. I didn't add a sentiment as I am not sure what I will use this card for

House Mouse 'Santa Hats '

It's time for a new House Mouse and Friends Challenge. This time the fabulous and super talented Sue D is the hostess and the theme is 

Anything Goes 

 + the option of

 SHOW US SOME SNOW

I used a lovely new Santa Hats Cling Stamp and made a shaker card. 

I coloured the little mouse and robins with copic markers and then masked the image before using a Falling Snow Stencil, Embossing Paste and Prisma Glitter for the snowstorm ;-)

For the ombre background I used Faded Jeans, Stormy Sky and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks, splattered with water and then used a Stampendous Stencil for the snowy design.  

and here is where I have a confession to make. I had made this card below first and wasn't very happy with how I coloured up the robins especially, so I bought an online class from Kit and Clowder to learn how to colour a robin better ;-) I learned a lot of new tecnhiques and really love how the texture of the feathers on the robins above look when compared with the ones below. What do you think? 

I finished the insides of both cards, makes it so much easier come Christmas when it comes to writing on them and posting them out ;-)
