HAPPY BIRTHDAY CIRCLE!

It's time for a new theme on the Papertake Weekly Challenge !

Today is our lovely Dawny's birthday so we are having a party!

WINTER BIRTHDAYS!

I  have an addiction to using my new Fuse Tool, so be prepared for seeing lots of shakers on here in the near future;-)
I used a new Happy Birthday Circle Die to make this one and added a few snowflake sequins to make it 'winter' ;-)

The Fuse Tool is a brilliant gadget! gone are the days of messing about with foam adhesive, which wasn't only time consuming, but the amount of times I have had to start all over again because the foam didn't adhere properly and the contents spilled out! NEVER AGAIN !! WOO HOO!! :-D
I love the Fuse Mat too, both are well worth adding to your Christmas Wish List ;-)

I think this is one of my fave cards for this year,,, LOVE it and I know I will be making a few more using different colours ;-)

We do have some quite sad news, after 8 year the  Papertake Weekly will be retiring :-( It has been a pleasure to work alongside such fabulous designers on the team and Dawny is such a great friend. I am sure we will stay in touch, but this is the end of an era and is very sad :-(

Next week will be our final challenge so be sure to check back next Tuesday, we will be going out with a BANG and there will be loads of prize give-aways!!!

We are sponsored by The Ribbon Girl so a fabulous voucher to the store is on offer this week

PLUS Dawny has a Birthday Candy Prize too!

Just Us Girls    Sequins

Simon Says Monday Challenge: Just A Pinch

newchallenge

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

This week the challenge is

Just A Pinch

This week we are adding just a pinch of something perfect to give our projects a lovely finishing touch. Whether it is a pinch of glitter or powder, a splatter of ink or glimmer. You could even use the pinch of salt technique to create a beautiful background, the choices are endless! We will be looking forward to seeing what delights you cook up this week!

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

I took this challenge with a pinch of salt ;-)

and created a background using the salt technique!

I inked a piece of Watercolor Paper quite generously with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and sprinkled with sea salt. I then spritzed with water and waited for the magic to happen! I just left it to dry naturally and then brushed the salt off and it had made a lovely bokeh effect design. I then smothered the whole piece with Micro Glaze to seal the ink before splattering with White Linen Dye Ink.

I used a Framelits Tag Die and Festive Scribbles Die to make a decorative focus, I added a pinch of glitter on the tree and star, well you have to have a bit of sparkle at Christmas don't you!
I used Evergreen Bough, Iced Spruce and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks to color the ribbon.
