Wild Rose Studio Mouse on Presents

Hi all :-) I am a bit late with my Papertake Weekly Post, sorry Dawny xx

This week we all need to

GET IN SHAPE

especially after all those mince pies haha 

actually, you can still munch through a pack of choccy biscuits,  
all we want you to do this week is to include 3 or more different shapes on your card or project, and your base card can count as one.

I used this super cute Wild Rose Studio 'Mouse on Presents' image 

I have square, rectangle, oval 

I must admit I did struggle with this challenge, getting all the shapes on there ! It took me ages and I wish I had made it a bit easier on myself and used a circle shaped base card to start with. I was too lazy to get the Grand Calibur out !! :-) I do love the Oval Frame Die cut though, so pretty. I fussy cut a base for it so all the details would show up nicely.

I know some crafters dread the masculine challenges but that is what a challenge is for, to expand our creativity. The more we do the easier it becomes don;t you think, so get out your House Mouse, Happy Hoppers or Gruffies and join in. You can always use the Anything Goes option too don't forget :-) 

I used this cute Cupcake Jump Cling stamp. 

It's my Dad's birthday soon and I made this is for him.

There isn't much to say about this really, it's fairly CAS :-)

"Thinking Of You'

Hi all :-)

I have made another 'Thinking of You' card using the lovely January Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp.  These cards are always difficult to make and recently a couple of my friends have lost dear ones. I am thinking of them at this sad time xx 

I made the background using a couple of colours of Simon's Exclusive Ink pads and a splattering of the Perfect Pearls Mist that I made using the powder and the little spritzer bottle that came in the kit. I did add a few drops of Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink to give the colour a little bit more depth. 

I also coloured the ribbon with the same ink so it would be a prefect match :-)

I love this kit ! Do you get them ? If so did you know that there are galleries on Simon's Blog where you can upload your creations. Lots of inspiration in there and it is lovely to see what everyone else creates using the kits :-)
