Lawn Fawn Winter Challenge :-)

Hi all :-) the lovely Kelly Marie, owner and designer of Lawn Fawn, has a competition asking for cards using her stamps to be used for the new Winter CHA Catalogue and I thought I would join in :-)

The stamp sets that we can use are quite restricted and although I do have several Lawn Fawn sets I only have one Critters set and one Alphabet set that qualifies so I made 2 cards and will just have to hope that one might just be good enough :-) I have seen some of the other entries and they are FABULOUS so wish me luck !! :-)

The first one I made was using a Critters in the Snow set. 

I heat embossed the snowflakes onto some Bazzill Sea Salt cardstock and inked the edges slightly with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I created the snow drifts using torn plain white card and I added some Glitter Ritz Opaque White Glitter to the edges ,, I LOVE this glitter,, it looks like real snow ! :-) I then stamped and coloured various images from the Critters in the Snow set using Copics and added Glossy Accents to the noses and penguin feet, I also used a little Star Dust Stickles on the igloo. 

I used a Simon Says Stamp exclusives Mod Tree die, I cut using plain white card and inked with Iced Spruce DI. The glittered hearts were made using a Holiday Shapes die and I used a Memory Box Star Of Wonder die for the top :-) The sentiment is from the same set and I added a few gems here and there :-)

Christmas Advent Event Day 2 :-)

Hi all :-) I hope you’re all waking up to a bright and sunny Sunday morning ,,, it is clear blue skies here and gorgeous :-) Doesn’t feel ‘Christmassy’ at all !  

I haven’t even thought about putting up the tree yet but I did make the cake ,,, only to cut into it yesterday, well as Sean said ,, it did need testing to make sure it was nice !! :-)

 

Anyways ,,, today the lovely Joanna Sheen is sponsoring a prize and she will be giving someone these 2 fabulous decoupage kits !! :-)

I made a Chistmas Cracker on my Silhouette Cameo machine ,,, did I tell you how fab it is ?? :-)

This was so easy to do ,, just buy the download from the Silhouette store, cut, fold, glue one edge and tie with ribbons !The sentiment was also printed and cut on the machine. I used the same lovely ‘Happy Birthday’ Vintage Christmas ribbon that I used yesterday:-)

Lili of the Valley's 'Mr Snowman' :-)

I am late  for the Lili’s Little Fairies Challenge ,,:-(   My laptop was in for repair ,,, there was lots of clanking and whirring goings on and I was worried that it was going to be irreparable ,, but no ,,, it was just full of cat fur !!! ooh err ,, how embarrassing was that ! he even saved the evidence to show me ,,,, :-/  I couldn’t get out of the shop quick enough ,,, LOL

Anyways ,, the theme this week is ,,,

PASTEL SHADES :-)

Our lovely boss Jacqui is providing the prize this week so if you are the lucky winner you will get to choose 2 stamps from LOTV !! :-) 

I have just bought this very cute Mr Snowman stamp so I inked him up :-)

I coloured with Copics and added Star Dust Stickles and Viva Decor Ice White Pearl pen dots for snow.  I stamped a background using an Impression Obsession Gradation stamp, Versafine ink and embossed with white EP.  I then used tumbled Glass DI over the top, I think the poor snowman is is a blizzard there  :-)

The ‘silver’  card for layering was made using plain white card, Pumice Stone DI and Perfect Pearls brushed over the top, so lovely and shimmery IRL.  I used a Martha Stewart Icicle Punch ( now discontinued) and  made a strip using Whitewash Coredinations  and a Swiss Dots Folder. 

I used a Simon Says Stamp Exclusives Mod Tree, this was inked with Iced Spruce DI and I added some snowflakes from an EK Success Border punch and a Memory Box Star of Wonder glittered star on the top , I  used a MB Flurry Wreath Stamp and Flurry Wreath Die cut and finished with some Swiss Dots Ribbon from Crafty Ribbons

Post It Note Holder :-)

Hi all :-) I am late today ,,, my laptop threw a wobbler cos it doesn’t like cat fur ,,, how embarrassing is that ! I had to take it in to the shop and the fan was clogged with fluff  ! ,, he even saved me the evidence !!! oohh the shame of it ,,,, lol 

Anyways ,,, I am here with a friendly reminder to join us over on the Crafty Ribbon Challenge, we still have another week to go and Ali is giving one lucky winner a chance to win some FABBY ribbons :-)

It is the lovely ‘Pinky’ s’ turn to choose the theme and she is asking us to,,,

I love the White Organza Swiss Dots ribbon and  use it such alot, I also used some 3mm satin ribbon in red and black too

I made a little Post It note holder ,, I must admit I do like making these  :-)

My local framer gives me lots of offcuts of mountboard free !!  I covered with some pinkish paper from a Tim Holtz pack, inked  various TH stamps with distress inks and sprayed with Studio Calico Shine ,,, it does look quite nice IRL :-) I stamped a TH butterfly border and added a strip of tissue tape down the side too. I punched a butterfly, added some twine and a vintage button and then tied the ribbons from Crafty Ribbons after binding with a Bind It All
