I visited the Maze of Memories store on a recent visit to the UK. The lovely Mandy and her hubby picked me up from the bus stop and took me there , Hubby stayed outside with their lovely dog, Jack, while Mandy and I spend a good couple of hours browsing around and chatting to the owners and fellow shoppers. The staff were lovely and offered as many cups of tea and coffee as you would like !! Very civilised and friendly and definitely worth a visit if you are on the Oxford area :-) We had a lovely time ,,, bought a few bits and bobs,, well ,, it would have been rude not to eh !! :-) Their selection of papers and card !! WOW !! :-)

For my card I used the fab Penny Black Tower Bridge and Love London set. I stamped the bridge, coloured with copics, masked and then I made a cloudy sky using a copic air brush ,, it doesn’t show up very well here ,,,, I used Tim Holtz Kraft Core card for layering and the DP is MME from the Maze of Memories store. I used a Lawn fawn Say Cheese set to make the photo frame and the sentiment is from a Hero arts set. I stamped coloured and cut out the little mouse and hedgie from the set and have them running towards each other ,, the mouse will hand the Olympic torch to hedgie somewhere in the middle ,,, :-) The postcard is from LOTV and I used a real used stamp for the postage. The Union jack ribbon and fab heart button are from Crafty Ribbons from the Best of British Collection.

I have never made a spinner card before and I thought the little underground sign in this fab Penny Black Love London set was perfect as a spinner :-) I spent ages playing with this lol :-) I bought this London Stamp set when I won a Hero Arts set on the Sir Stampalot Challenge Blog Hop ( thanks Pinky) and the lovely Janice very kindly popped this stamp set in the same parcel :-)

I started with a plain white card, then layered with some red then white again. I cut out the oval shape on the Silhouette Cameo machine, this is not the right shape, a rounded rectangle would have been better ,,,,, next time ,,, :-) I stamped the bus as though it was just exiting the card/ bus stop ,, , coloured with copics and added star dust glitter to the heart and used a clear gel pen on ‘London’ I added some red buttons from Crafty Ribbons on the wheels and popped a black gem in the middle and another 3 in the top R corner. I then finished with some faux stitching around the edges. I popped everything up on pop dots and made the spinner using 2 50 cent coins,, quite heavy so it does spin well :-)
