Saturated Colours on the Totally Papercrafts ..

OK ,, time to get out your shades ,,,, Caroline has chosen the theme this week ,,,,

SATURATED COLOURS ! :-) Link

We are sponsored by the lovely Krista Smith aka Saturated Canary so the theme is really fitting eh ! :-)

All the DT were given a choice of image and I chose this very cute Party Hardy , isn’t she cute ! :-)

I printed the image twice, coloured her with copics and inked the edges with Spun Sugar DI. I cut her out, leaving the banner and her legs in the background. The papers are from a Bo Bunny Ambrosia pack and I used purple SU card ( from Mandi) for layering. I used a Grand Calibur, Grand Circle and Grand Scalloped to cut her out. I used my Silhouette Cameo machine to cut out the banner , coloured them with copics and stamped designs on them to funky them up a bit ,, :-) I added oodles of star dust stickles, some pink vintage tape from The Ribbon Girl, to finish I cut out the star with a MFT Stacking Stars die, coloured with a copic and then sprinkled with yellow glitter.

Krista will be giving one lucky entrant a choice of 2 fab digi images !! :-)

Thanks for looking :-) The DT have made some fabulous cards for you to see and EVERYONE has used a Saturated Canary image,, that just shows how much we all like them eh ! I think this is the first time that no one opted out ! :-)

Playtime with my new Silhouette Cameo :-)

Hi all :-) its time to take Jessie walkies so this will have to be quick ,,, she’s biting me and dragging me off my chair as we speak ,,, it is 20 past 4 so am already 20 mins late !! :-)

There is a fab online course at the mo ,, called ‘A Cut Above’ and it is going through all the things you can do with your dies and die cutting machines, Cuttlebug, Big Shot etc and the Silhouette Cameo, if you would like to join in you’re not too late :-)

I made my first card to join in with the Less Is More Challenge whose theme is ‘Charming’ :-)

I used a fab ‘Hugs’ text from Ali Edwards, this was cut out of black card on the Silhouette Cameo machine. I used a Hero Arts Eggshell Notecard for the base, I inked the edges of this with Peeled Paint DI, stamped with a Hero Arts Flourish stamp, inked with a Snow Cap paint dabber and then stuck the die cut frame with text over it, I used a Martha Stewart Burtterfly punch, coloured with Mustard Seed DI and added some gems and then doodled the antennae and flight path with a black pen. I added a little charm on a twine bow and finished by stamping the word ‘sending’ using part of a Unity sentiment stamp.

Next I made this card following the brief on the Crafty Ribbons Challenge ,,, Yellow, Pink, Orange :-)

The starting point was the flowers … I was playing with my machine and I wanted to make some flowers ,,, so I cut several using a 12x12 sheet of Tim Holtz Shabby Vintage paper and then inked them with Victorian Velvet DI. I then sprayed with water, scrunched and fixed together with a brad. The yellow card was made using plain white card, inked with the Mustard Seed ink and then brushed with Sunflower Sparkle Perfect Pearls.

I embossed the background using a Sizzix flower folder, added a Tim Holtz Elegant Flourish, made a panel using a Martha Stewart border punch, added some orange twine and used a MFT Button Quartet die to make the button.

thanks for looking ,,, time for walkies ,,, see ya later Smile

Wish I was there ,,,,,,,, :-)

Hi again :-) I am back with a card I made for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge whose theme is No Patterned Paper :-)

I have recently bought these fab London themed stamps, Miniful and The Tower Bridge so I wanted to use them :-)

I stamped the image and coloured with copics, I then inked the edges with Stormy Sky DI and glittered the edges with star dust stickles. To make the background I used the stamp resist technique, I used a Hero Arts Distressed Stripes stamp, inked with versamark and embossed with white EP. I then used several colours of distress inks to create a weird looking night sky ,, well London does have pollution and it creates all sorts of reflective colours Open-mouthed smile I then sprayed the whole thing with Lindy's Gang Long John Silver glimmer spray ,,, soo gorgeous and shimmery IRL ! I then stamped the London Bridge with Archival ink and coloured slightly with Distress Markers.

The signs are from a Unity ‘Along for the Ride set and I added a strip of ribbon to finish :-)

Thanks for looking :-) I appreciate your comments so please leave me one :-)

We have a very special week this week :-) Not only is Heidi providing a $50 Voucher to spend in the Simon Says Stamp Store

We also have the lovely Kim Hughes, the designer of the lovely Paper Smooches range of stamps giving a 2nd lucky winner a choice of 2 stamp sets ! :-)

This week we are showcasing Paper Smooches stamps and we would like to thank Kim for providing our Guest Designer Mandy and all the DT with a stamp set each to use for the challenge :-)

We are also joined this week by 2 lovely designers from the Paper Smooches DT so there is LOTS of inspiration for you this week :-)

Of course you don't HAVE to use Paper Smooches stamps to join in but if you have them we would love to see them used :-)

For my card I used a fab Paper Smooches Spiffy Scooters set

While looking for inspiration for this card I found THIS fab one Diane Zechman’s blog and loved the way she made the floating clouds and the paper piecing so I CASE’d it :-)

I used my Grand Calibur and Grand Scalloped and Grand Circle dies to create the shape. I used My Minds Eye On the Bright Side papers and layered and paper pieced areas of the scooter, the plain parts were coloured with an E51 copic marker. I used the triple line stamp from the set to create the white paper design and I stamped the clouds from the set and embossed them with a Swiss dots folder, I then used thin strips of acetate to ‘float’ them. I used some Hemptique twine and a shaped button that I thought looked like a puff of exhaust ? ,, :-) I added a little Star Dust Stickles to the ‘lights’ to finish ,,,

Thanks for looking :-) Mandy, the Paper Smooches DT girls and the DT have all made some fabulous cards for you to see so hop on over to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge to see them :-)

Penny Black Wedding Day ,,,,,

Hi all :-) How are you on this fine spring morning ?? OK I hope and ready for a crafty day :-)

Tuesdays = Papertake Weekly Challenge and this week our lovely boss Dawny has made us a fab sketch to follow ,, I do LOVE Dawny’s sketches ,, so simple and easy !! :-)

I decided to use my Penny Black Bride and Groom stamp, this is a huge stamp, isn’t it gorgeous ! I coloured with copics, gently shading the wedding dress with grey tones. The bride is cut out and popped up to add dimension. I used my Grand Calibur to cut the Grand Circle and Grand Scallop shapes, the papers are from Kaiser Crafts, Pink Gelato pack, all the edges were inked with Spun Sugar DI. I wanted to keep this fairly CAS and just added some fab silver glitter mesh from The ribbon Girl and a little sprig of roses made using a Heart Swirl Die and Mini Rolled Roses,,,, oh and a few Hero Arts pearls to finish :-)

I made a box to pop it in, the tag was in the paper pack so it matches the papers perfectly, the stamped postmark sentiment is from LOTV ! :-)

We are sponsored by the lovely Heidi at Simon Says Stamp so a fab $20 voucher on offer for one lucky person :-)

Hi all. I hope you all had a lovely weekend :-) We had a family get together with Rays family in Malta which was very nice, Rays brother is a wonderful cook and the weather was so warm and sunny we ate ‘al fresco’ ,,, bliss :)

The theme for the next fortnight on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge was chosen by the lovely Stacy and she chose ,,,

ANYTHING GOES ,,,,,:-)

Just remember that you must use a House Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffie image to join in.

I made a joy fold card this week and used the very cute House Mouse Feeling Rosie image, coloured with copics and the edges inked slightly with vintage photo DI. The papers are from a My Minds EyeDolled Up’ pack, the sentiment and little tea cup are from a My Favorite Things ‘Always Time For Tea’ stamp and die set, the pink vintage tape is from The Ribbon Girl.

On the inside I used the same MFT set to make the teapot and the sentiment is from that set too.
