Simon Says ,,,,,, Anything Goes ! :-)

This week we have the ever popular theme ,,,, your favourite ,,,

ANYTHING GOES !! :-)

We have a very special week this week :-) Not only is Heidi providing a $50 Voucher to spend in the Simon Says Stamp Store

We also have the lovely Kim Hughes, the designer of the lovely Paper Smooches range of stamps giving a 2nd lucky winner a choice of 2 stamp sets ! :-)

This week we are showcasing Paper Smooches stamps and we would like to thank Kim for providing our Guest Designer Mandy and all the DT with a stamp set each to use for the challenge :-)

We are also joined this week by 2 lovely designers from the Paper Smooches DT so there is LOTS of inspiration for you this week :-)

Of course you don't HAVE to use Paper Smooches stamps to join in but if you have them we would love to see them used :-)

For my card I used a fab Paper Smooches Spiffy Scooters set

While looking for inspiration for this card I found THIS fab one Diane Zechman’s blog and loved the way she made the floating clouds and the paper piecing so I CASE’d it :-)

I used my Grand Calibur and Grand Scalloped and Grand Circle dies to create the shape. I used My Minds Eye On the Bright Side papers and layered and paper pieced areas of the scooter, the plain parts were coloured with an E51 copic marker. I used the triple line stamp from the set to create the white paper design and I stamped the clouds from the set and embossed them with a Swiss dots folder, I then used thin strips of acetate to ‘float’ them. I used some Hemptique twine and a shaped button that I thought looked like a puff of exhaust ? ,, :-) I added a little Star Dust Stickles to the ‘lights’ to finish ,,,

Thanks for looking :-) Mandy, the Paper Smooches DT girls and the DT have all made some fabulous cards for you to see so hop on over to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge to see them :-)

Penny Black Wedding Day ,,,,,

Hi all :-) How are you on this fine spring morning ?? OK I hope and ready for a crafty day :-)

Tuesdays = Papertake Weekly Challenge and this week our lovely boss Dawny has made us a fab sketch to follow ,, I do LOVE Dawny’s sketches ,, so simple and easy !! :-)

I decided to use my Penny Black Bride and Groom stamp, this is a huge stamp, isn’t it gorgeous ! I coloured with copics, gently shading the wedding dress with grey tones. The bride is cut out and popped up to add dimension. I used my Grand Calibur to cut the Grand Circle and Grand Scallop shapes, the papers are from Kaiser Crafts, Pink Gelato pack, all the edges were inked with Spun Sugar DI. I wanted to keep this fairly CAS and just added some fab silver glitter mesh from The ribbon Girl and a little sprig of roses made using a Heart Swirl Die and Mini Rolled Roses,,,, oh and a few Hero Arts pearls to finish :-)

I made a box to pop it in, the tag was in the paper pack so it matches the papers perfectly, the stamped postmark sentiment is from LOTV ! :-)

We are sponsored by the lovely Heidi at Simon Says Stamp so a fab $20 voucher on offer for one lucky person :-)

Hi all. I hope you all had a lovely weekend :-) We had a family get together with Rays family in Malta which was very nice, Rays brother is a wonderful cook and the weather was so warm and sunny we ate ‘al fresco’ ,,, bliss :)

The theme for the next fortnight on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge was chosen by the lovely Stacy and she chose ,,,

ANYTHING GOES ,,,,,:-)

Just remember that you must use a House Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffie image to join in.

I made a joy fold card this week and used the very cute House Mouse Feeling Rosie image, coloured with copics and the edges inked slightly with vintage photo DI. The papers are from a My Minds EyeDolled Up’ pack, the sentiment and little tea cup are from a My Favorite Things ‘Always Time For Tea’ stamp and die set, the pink vintage tape is from The Ribbon Girl.

On the inside I used the same MFT set to make the teapot and the sentiment is from that set too.

Anyway,,, onto nicer things ,,, Friday’s means its the day for a change of theme on the Totally Papercrafts Challenge and this week it is our lovely teamie Anne who chose ,,,

ALL BUTTONED UP …. easy ,,, :-)

I used this very cute Bella with Mum image from the Wild Rose Studio, I coloured with copics , inked the edges with Dusty Concord DI and used star dust stickles for sparkle. The papers are also from the WRS, from the Bella pack and I used a Martha Stewart border punch. I made the buttons using a My Favorite Things Button Quartet die, cutting several from scraps of white card and then used the WRS papers to make the top layer, I then tried to make them look like a bundle of balloons, tied together with twine. The Happy Birthday ‘balloon’ was made using a WRS Little Labels stamp set. I added a few Robins Nest Dew Drops and made the ribbon slider using the Simple Buckles die.

Less Is More ,,,,,

Woo Hoo !! I was showcased on the Less Is more Challenge this week with THIS card :-) ,,, sooo proud ! :-) Thanks Mandi and Chrissi ,,, am thrilled :-)

The challenge this week is a tricky one ,, the dreaded one later with the extra ugh of doodling ,,, definitely not my forte,,, tho I always used to doodle during lectures whilst studying the habit stopped when the studying did :-)

I stared by masking a square in the centre of the card and used a C.C Designs Clouds die cut to mask areas while spraying with a copic air brush and a B 21 copic marker. I then stamped the Hero Arts Hot Air balloon stamp which is is an Away set with achival ink and coloured a little bit with a Memento pink marker, added a tiny little bit of star dust stickles on the ropes and then doodled straight stitches around the square panel to sort of create a window ,,, :-) Not very adventurous doodling I’m afraid ,, the sentiment is from Hero arts too.

Thanks for looking :-) I appreciate your comments so please leave me one Smile

Challenges :-

Less Is More ,,,,, One Layer + Doodling

City Crafter ,,, Just a hint of Pink

Simon Says ,,,,,, Follow Dawny’s Sketch :-)

Simon Says Stamp

Thank you so much to everyone who joined in with our challenge of "April Showers bring May Flowers" last week. It was fantastic to see so many of you joining us in our challenge.

This week our lovely and uber talented teamie, Dawny P, has made us one of her lovely sketches for us to follow :-)

As usual Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a $50 voucher to her FANTASTIC Simon Says Stamp Superstore !! For fabulous tutorials, inspiration and candy you should keep an eye on the Simon Says Stamp Blogtoo

This week the Design Team are showcasing American Crafts and/or Martha Stewart products. If you have either of these two products, we would love to see them in your projects this week but if not, please come and join us anyway !!

For my card I used this very cute Mimi image from Penny Black, this is called Sweet Thing, I stamped the image twice with Memento black ink onto Neenah cardstock, I then coloured with Copics and cut out the extra cupcake and stuck it it on with Pop Dots. The cupcake paper is from American Crafts and is called Cherry Chips. Instead of popping a square element underneath the image I cut out a cupcake on my Silhouette Cameo, coloured with copics and popped it in place. I used some Glossy Accents on the cherries, I used lots of star dust stickles and I stitched all the edges. I used a Martha Stewart Lace Heart border punch and a Monarch butterfly punch too, I finished with some satin ribbon and a sentiment from a Lawn Fawn set.

Thanks for looking :-) Our fabulous GD Mandy and the DT have made some gorgeous cards for your inspiration so hop on over to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge to see them :-)
