ABC Christmas I for Ice and Indigo Challenge

Good Morning all ,, well the last 2 weeks have flown by and its time for a new theme on the ABC Christmas Challenge :-) This time it’s our Boss Samantha’s turn to host the challenge and she chose ,..

For my card I used a Hero Arts Snowy Night cling stamp. I inked the image with 3 different blue distress inks then sprayed it with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist before stamping onto plain white card. I layered this onto plain blue card and kept the backing papers simple by using white card and a Swiss Dots embossing folder. I used a Martha Stewart Himalayan Snowflake and some spotty ribbon and a star brad to finish.

Hi all :-) Hope you are all recovered from a weekend of choccy over indulgence ! Amy has just brought a big tin of Quality street to munch as I'm writing this ,,,, Sean forgot them and went back to Malta ,, well ,, we can't let them go off eh !!!

I have just treated myself to one or 2 ( cough) new House Mouse stamps and I just HAD to use this gorgeous Freshly Squeezed Jokester stamp that is THE House Mouse stamp of the month for April, and of course I also had to have the ‘Life hands you Lemons’ sentiment stamp that goes with it !! I coloured the image with Copics and decoupaged the lemon, I inked around the edges with Broken China distress ink. the papers are my current faves from the Crate Paper Neighbourhood pad. I used a Martha Stewart Mouse border punch, some Star Dust stickles, a bit of ribbon and a few Robins Nest Dew Drops. I kept the embellies to a minimum because nothing looked right !

I decorated the inside ( a little bit) and printed the text on the comp :-)

Up to the Highest Height ,,,,,,,,

I have just bought one or 2 new stamps ,,,,, Oh OK ,,,, several ,,, shhh and just couldn’t wait to ink this cutie up !! This one is called Gone with the Wind. I coloured with my trusty Copics and inked the edges with Stormy Sky distress ink, I also added some white flower soft for his tail.The papers are from the Wild Rose Studio and I used a Spellbinders Banner Basics across the top. I added a few Robins Nest Dew Drops and some Star Dust stickles here and there, the sentiment is from a Papermania clear set.

I followed this fab sketch on the Sketch and Stash Challenge which is choose your own sketch week We have to say what our new or unused and neglected stash is ,,I have used my new stamp !

House Mouse and Friends Monday,,,, Way To Go

Good Morning all :-) I hope you’re all enjoying the long Easter weekend and managing to get in a little bit of crafty time too :-)

For my card I used this very cute House Mouse Butterfly Express image, my mouse is hitching a ride from this very obliging flutterby :-) I coloured the image with Copics, then masked and sprayed the sky background with my Copic Air Brush. I decoupaged the wing and glittered with Star Dust stickles.The papers are Prima Sparkling Spring from Crafty Emma’s Store ( these were a gift from Scoopy and Joey xx I used a EK Success Swirl border punch, a Martha Stewart Butterfly punch and a Spellbinders swirl die cut. The pearls are from Kaiser Crafts and the ribbon and flower were in my stash. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Whimsy Stamps.

Less Is More ,,, Off Centre Challenge

Happy Easter !! I hope you're all having a lovely time whereve you are :-)

This week on the Less Is More Challenge the LIM Diva Mandy and Lim Lady Chrissy. have given us an easier week ,, phew !! :-) they fairly had blogland in uproar last week with their acetate challenge !! It was fun tho and they did have us rummaging in draws and am sure it wasn’t only me who found stuff we forgot we had !!

So ,,, Off Center Challenge ,,,,

I need to make a card for a very dear friend who has just lost her sister ,,, am not sure this is IT but that was my starting point.

I used some new stamps from Hero Arts, the flower is from the Luscious Patterned Flower set . I inked the leaves with Bundled Sage Distress Ink and stamped off onto a scrap paper, spritzed with water and then stamped onto the card ,, I wanted a watercolour effect ,, don’t know why !! The flower was stamped with a tri colour brilliance ink pad and I cut out and popped onto the card with pop dots. I added a clear button to the center with some black twine threaded thro. I doodled some stitches around the edge and layered with purple SU card ( bought from Mandi )

I think I stamped this a little high up on the card and feel it would have looked better if the flower wasn't flying off the top,,,it looks like a gust of wind caught it ,,,lol :-)

edited ,,,Thanks for the advice Chrissie :-) I stamped another set of leaves to 'ground' the flower ,,, was worried it would fly off the top of the card altoghether lol :-)

For my card I used this very cute Upside Down image by Diane Duda ,, I love her designs !!:-) I coloured her with Copics and inked around the edges with Stormy Sky Distress ink. The papers are my current faves ,, Neighbourhood collection from Crate Paper ,,, gorgeous I think, this was a gift from Joey and Scoopy from Crafty Emma’s Store , the flowers have little button centers too ,, perfect for this challenge !! I used some green SU ribbon and matching card for layering. The flower is a Fabric Bloomer from Prima, it comes complete with the button and I used a Martha Stewart butterfly and a leaf frond punch. I added Star Dust Stickles and Robins Nest dew Drops for the sparkle

With Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding only a few days away its just PERFECT ! :-) What will you be doing next Friday ,,, watching it on the telly or will you be outside Westminster Cathedral flag waving ?? I will be glued to my telly with a freshly baked Victoria sponge, a plate of coconut macaroons and a pot of tea !!! :-)

For my card I used a fab new Lawn Fawn stamp set called Bake Me a Cake ,,, I LOVE this set,,, so much fun !! There are loads of different elements to use to create a different cake every time !! I was asked by a friend to make a Wedding card for her to give to her nephew and she wanted pink and roses so I hope this will be OK !

I didn’t have any pink card ,,, shame on me !! ,, so all the pink is coloured with a RV32 Copic pen, I coloured the image with a couple of Copics ,,, C and RV shades and inked the edges with a cream chalk ink pad then smothered with loads of Star Dust stickles. I used some hammered white card and embossed a panel with a flowery folder. I used a Martha Stewart Heart Border punch and the flowers and ribbon are from WOC and the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp Exclusives set.

Simon Says ,,,,,, EMBOSS IT !! :-)

Good Morning all :-) I hope you are all OK and looking forward to a nice Easter weekend :-)

We have some fabby news this week !! Marcea has agreed to re joiin the team !! Woo Hoo !! Welcome back me darlin xx

This week the theme on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge is

EMBOSS IT ,,, so wet or dry embossing is OK :-)

The DT have been using stamps from Belles 'n Whistles this week :-) such cute images ! You don't HAVE to use them but if you have any we would love to see them :-)

For my card I used this very cute Goggles image from Belles n Whistles. I cut the towel out so that I wouldn’t chop it off in my Big Shot. I then used a nestie circle shape , I coloured the image with Copics and added Glossy Accents to his goggles masked him and then sprayed the background using my copic air brush. I then added a sandcastle , which was decoupaged, this was from a Simon Says stamp Exclusives set. I thought he needed something to look at ! Is he wondering if it needs an extra flag ?? or should he dig a moat around it ?? ,,, ooh decisions, decisions ,, such a hard day at the beach !!

The papers are Basic Grey from the Hopscotch paper pad ( did I mention I LOVE these ,, I am going to get another one, I don’t want to run out !! ) I embossed a piece of plain white card using a Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles folder. I then gently inked this with Stormy Sky distress ink using a Tim Holtz Blending Tool, then dabbed Star Dust Stickles on the bubbles. The ribbon was in my stash, the button is also from Basic Grey and the twine is from American Tag

For my card I used this very cute Rugby Boy from Dulcie at the Wild Rose Studio. I stamped the image on Neenah Classic White card, coloured the image with Copics and paper pieced his top and I inked around the edges with Stormy Sky Distress ink. The papers are from a Basic Grey Oliver paper pack, the sentiment is from a LOTV set I bought at the NEC. The banner was made using my fab new Spellbinders Banner Basics Dies and Hero Arts Friendly Flags set. I used a Martha Stewart Arch Lattice border punch. I didn’t add any embellies as this is for my nephew and he wouldn’t like ribbons and gems I am sure

I have missed most of the Less is More Challenges due to holidays and visitors but I hope to start joining in more regularly from now on :-)

This week Chrissie and Mandi are asking us LIMettes to use acetate ,, luckily I had some handy as my lovely friend Alison gave me a a few sheets of a nice quality thick type.

I bought this Crafty Individuals stamp from the NEC and HAD to use it !! As you can see I used some eyelets to hang the image from an aperture cut into the acetate. The card is Stamping Up Chocolate Chip and Ivory ,, bought from Mandi and the image is stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa. I used some American Tag twine to tie them all together :-)


I used a MS border punch and added some tulle ribbon, I know thats not very LIM ,,, but I thought it looked nice !!

I would love to know what you all REALLY think !! I am wanting to get this look 'right' and I know I have alot to learn ,,, so please tell me honestly , I can take it :-)
