Papertake Weekly ,,,, Happy Easter

Tuesday morning and time for a new theme on the Papertake Weekly Challenge :-) Lots of scope for combining challenges here :-)

HAPPY EASTER

For my card I used this lovely Tilda stamp that I bought last year and never used ,, this is her first inking :-) I think it is a shame she has been neglected so I have decided that if anyone would like to give her a new home just tell me in your comment. If more than one would like her I will put all the names in an easter bonnet and do the draw tomorrow (Wednesday)at 10 am CET. I will post asap :-)




I coloured the image with copics and added stickles and glitter pen for sparkle :-) The papers are Basic Grey and the ribbon and flowers are from my stash. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the fancy border and the sentiment was done on the comp.

Sketch and Stash Challenge :-)

Monday morning and time for a brand new sketch over on the Sketch and Stash Challenge :-) Becky has made a gorgeous sketch for us to use and I am sure you will all like it ,,, nice and easy :-)

It is my SIL 60th Birthday soon and I made this card for her :-) I love this Penny Balck stamp and haven't used it for months and months,, shame on me !! :-) This one is called The Sensations
The other neglected items are these lovely Prima Flowers :-) I didn't use them before as I really like them and was saving them for ???



I coloured the image with copics and addeg gems and pearls 'jewellery', Don't ya just LOVE her string of pearls ! The paper is new Bo Bunny and I love the pattern on this ,, lovely background I thought ! As you can see I flipped the sketch to fit my image and popped the large pearls in a different place as they wouldn't fit in where they should :-) The ribbon is new and was a birhtday gift from Debby, thanks Debby xx

Simon Says Stamp Challenge on the Papercrafts Planet Forum :-)

There is this fabulous bundle of goodies on offer so I will be keeping my fingers crossed :-)



For my card I used my new Eye Pencil and Lipstick ready House Mouse stamp ,,, how cute is this !! :-) I recently had cataract surgery and Steph, who works in the Simon Says Stamp office emailed me a piccy of this stamp just before I was going in for the op ,,, it really made me laugh :-),,,, HAD to buy it then eh !! :-)




I coloured the image with copics, added copics glitter pen glasses and inked the edges with dusty concord ink. The papers are Basic Grey Sugar Rush papers and the sentiment is from a Simon says Stamp Exclusives set.



I made this card for my friends Mum who had her cataract surgery on the same day as me ,,, we held hands :-) It is her 84th Birthday tomorrow and I thought this image would be perfect for her ! :-)

Simon Says,,,, Childrens Challenge :-)

Happy Easter Holidays to all of our children !! Time to PLAY !! :-)

The Simon Says Stamp Challenge are challenging our youngsters between the ages of 2 and 16 ,,,, we thought 1 year olds may be a bit too young !! :-) We would like to encourage all you Mum's to let your children loose in your craft rooms ha ha :-)

The challenge is open for 2 weeks and will close at 10am GMT ( 9 am CET ) on Sunday 11th April

The theme is open so you can make whatever you like, cards, masks, bonnets, notebooks, anything you like, it does not even have to be Easter themed :-)

Totally Papercrafts Pink and Green Challenge

We had lots of gorgeous entries to Joanne's sketch last week on the Totally Papercrafts Challenge. Thank you to everyone who entered.

For my card I followed Jo's gorgeous sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge :-)




I chose to use a lovely new stamp from The Greeting Farm this one is from the Miss Anya Collection, lovely eh ! :-) I coloured her with copics and dotted her boots with the blender pen to make them look like suede,,,, did it work ?? I think so !! :-) I chose funky shocking pink and lime green colours to match this lovely Doodlebug paper. I must admit I do quite like this card :-) I used a gel pen to glaze her bag and boot details, patent leather ??? :-)

I inked the edges with the gorgeous new spun sugar distress ink, I am using that particular colour ALOT ! I will need a refill or new one soon ! :-) The flowers are prima ,, sprayed with glimmer mist ,,, how did we manage without that before ?? a craft room essential now eh ! The sentiment is a Funky Fairys punch em ,, that unfortunately you can't buy now as the company has stopped trading :-( I used a lovely heart Martha Stewart border punch . I didn't have the 'right' coloured ribbon so I used the pink copic pen to colour a white one and tied the bow with a bow easy ,,,, perfection every time :-) The little heart on her headband is a confetti from the punch which is glittered :-)




The DT have made some lovely cards and creations for you to see ,,, one has made a perfect handbag for a Saturday night out !! :-) You MUST pop over to the Totally Papercrafts Challenge. to see them :-)

ABC Christmas Challenge 'G' for Glitz with optional Silver :-)

We had lots of lovely entries for the 'F' for Frosty Challenge so thank you to everyone who joined in :-)

I have just bought this gorgeous Magnolia Snowman and Snowy Circle from Simon Says Stamp. I wish I had bought these before Christmas but better late than never eh !! :-)
I stamped the circle with pigment ink and embossed with silver EP, then masked the circle and stamped the snowman with memento ink, I coloured the image a little with copics and added ice stickles and crystal gems for added Glitz :-)
The papers are magnolia and silver stardream, I also added a white panel thet was cuttlebugged with a snowflake folder and glittered. I used a Martha Stewart snowflake border punch and some punched snowflakes too. The ribbon was from a local shop and the sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub on.



The DT have made some fabulous cards this week and Samantha did some fab recycling too ,,, so head on over to the ABC Christmas Challenge blog to see them !! :-)

I am entering this card into the Just Magnolia Challenge whose theme is Easel Cards :-) I don't think they will be seeing many Christmas ones this week :-)

The Creative Cottage Challenge has Sparkle as the theme so I will enter this into that challenge too ( thanks Donna :-))

The Quixotic Challenge is Monochromatis so I think my card fits that challenge too I only used a grey and purply grey copic marker :-)

Simon Says Easter/Spring with Glimmer Challenge

Another Wedneasday, another fabulous challenge on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge :-) This week we are doing something completely different ,,,

EASTER/SPRING with added glimmer

As you may have noticed there are a few with the same theme ,,, so plenty of opportunity to combine challenges ! The DT have all used Glimmer Mist on their creations and Heidi Swapp has made a fabulous video tutorial on them which you can see over on the challenge blog . It is well worth watching and if you have glimmer mists we would love to see them used this week ,, but it is not necessary to enter the challenge :-)

Gunn is joining us in the Designer Spotlight again this week, if you haven't visited her blog yet then you are in for treat !! You really should go to say 'hello' ! :-)




I just can't resist these cute Happy Hopper stamps ! I think these are THE perfect Easter stamps, that little chick telling bunny to hurry up ,,, sooo cute :-) This one is called Will Knit for Friends and is available in the Simon Says Stamp Store, all the Happy Hoppers, House Mouse and Gruffies are available !! :-)
I coloured the image with copics and glimmer mists. the shimmer looks really good on the chicks beaks and feet,, I used peach delight to colour those. The papers are Bo Bunny and I used a Martha Stewart border punch, The flower is Prima and has been sprayed with pearl glimmer mist. I love this one particularly and have almost used up the whole bottle, so definitely need to get a new one ! I also coloured the central flower and the edges with peach delight glimmer mist.

Papertake Weekly , Dawny's Sketch :-)

Time for a fabby new sketch by Dawny on the Papertake Weekly Challenge :-)




My Mum has been going to Weight watchers for a few months and has lost 14kg !!! she has gone from a size 18/20 to a 14 !! I am so looking forward to seeing her next month :-) When I told Amy she said ,,, OH NO ,,, I like my Grandma cuddly :-) I am so glad she has lost the weight though, she has also started going to keep fit classes and swimming ,,, so I am very proud of her :-) I made this card for her ,,, perfect image I thought :-)

I flipped the skech and had to move the sentiment down as it didn't look right in the proper place :-)




I used my new Happy Hoppers stamp from Simon Says Stamp this one is called Light as a Feather. I coloured the image with copics and added glaze to the scales and used a copic spica pen to make faux stitches.
I have no idea who's paper the background one is but the side panel and orange are Basic Grey from the cupcake pad. The flower is prima, sprayed with pearl glimmer mist and I added stickles for extra sparkle :-) The sentiment was cut on my cricut. I finished with some large pearls from Bunny Zoe Crafts :-)

LOTV and Creative Cottage Challenges ,,, last min !!

I may be too late to enter this card into these challenges :-( I have been making this for days and never getting it finished ,, first visitors then the main power station in Malta went down so we have had no electricity ,,! hope it stays on now ! :-)
Anyway ,,, onto the card,, I followed the gorgeous sketch over on the Lili of the Valley Challenge ,,, and I only just found out that I won it last week so I will be receiving 2 of these gorgeosu stamps ,,, Woo hoo !! Thank you Jacqui and the DT xx




I used my new LOTV stamp that was a brithday gift from Jo. Thanks Jo xx
I coloured the image with copics and added copic glitter pens and stickles for sparkle, her petticoat was lace stickled ,,, love that stuff :-) The papers are from the Creative Cottage and the green card is vintage coredinations. The flowers are a mixture of Prima and roses and leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The ribbon was a gift from Heidi at Simon Says Stamp, thanks Heidi. The Prima flowers and dew drops are from Simon says Stamp too :-)

For my card I used a lovely Happy Hopper stamp from Simon Says Stamp. this one is called Egg-cellent painting :-) I coloured the image with copics and used a clear gel pen over the 'paint' to make it shiny :-) All the edges were coloured with wild honey distress ink. The papers are from Stampin Up, the flower is prima which is sprayed with pearl glimmer mist and the ribbon was in a lovely birthday parcel from Debby :-) Thanks Debby xx The sentiment was printed on my comp and the oval punches are from Stampin Up too :-)

25th wedding Anniversary card :-)

It is our friends 25th Wedding Anniversary and this is the card I have made for them :-) I will add the anniversary sentiment on the inside :-)

I followed Sharon's lovely sketch on the Truly Scrumptious Challenge



I used my new LOTV stamp that was a birthday gift from Domi :-) Thanks Domi xx
I decided to keep the bear white too and just shaded him with a bit of grey. I coloured the image with copics and added copics spica pen and diamond stickles for sparkle :-)
I used a textured card base and layered it with mesh then a flower cuttlebugged panel which was glittered. The flowers, ribbon and ribbon slider are all from Wild Orchid Crafts

I used my lovely new Gruffie from Stampabilities ,, isn't he cute! I love this stamp, this one is called Hammock Hibernation. I think this is a perfect stamp for Dad's or Hubby's !!
I coloured the image with copics and inked the edges with the new Tim Holtz distress inks, stormy sky and forest moss colours. I used Basic Grey papers from the Archaic set. I inked all the edges with aged mahogony ink. the flower is Prima which has been sprayed with glimmer mist and the sentiment is from a Simon says Stamp exclusives set :-) I used some mesh and Robin's Nest dew drops to finish. I made the string thing across the bottom by just knotting some string and inked it with antique lined to 'dirty' it :-)
