Simon Says: Distress It

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week the challenge is 

Distress It 

We are showcasing some fabulous Tim Holtz Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used!

I used Wine Blueprints and Mini Blueprints Stamp Sets and Thatched and Splatters Layering Stencils.

I can hardly believe it but it is my son's 30th Birthday this weekend (I was a child bride ;-)) For his birthday I sent him a crate of wine and thought this card would be perfect to go long with it! 

I started by splattering some Distress Resist Spray onto some white watercolor paper and when that was dry I blended Broken China and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Inks over the top. I then spritzed with water and used the stencils to add some more design. 

When it was dry I heat embossed the blueprint bottle so that it would really stand out against the background.  I stamped the bottle and glass with Stazon Ink and coloured with Distress Inks. 

I made a 'bench' using a Planks Bigz Die for the bottle and glass to stand on and finished with a snarky sentiment and a Fluted Star . I added 1988 as that was the year he was born and I hear it was a good vintage year for red ;-) (not really, I just made that up ;-)) 

and I finished the inside using a Bigz Alphanumeric Cut Out Die Set

W Plus 9 'Oh My Gostrich'

Hi all :-) How are you all? OK I hope and if not I am sending you a hug XXX :-)

I have just bought this totally adorable 'Oh My Gostrich' Stamp and Coordinating Dies and just had to use them!!

Yesterday I saw an appeal to send a lovely lady called Becky a card for her 100th Birthday! Of course I was in! ;-) To be honest my first thought was to make a quite traditional card with flowers and pretty stuff, but then I thought that she might like something a but funny and quirky instead so out came these new products ;-) 

I coloured with Copic Markers and added some Star Dust Stickles for extra sparkle.

and I finished the inside,,,, haha love this!! I hope it makes Becky smile too ;-)

and of course, for such a special milestone birthday I made a matching envelope ;-) 

I hope Mrs Becky likes this!!  I am a bit worried, maybe I should have stuck to my first thought and sent flowers ,,,,,,,, ;-)
