Simon Says: Patterned Paper

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

We just returned home after spending the holidays with my family in the UK, it was lovely  and we had a fabulous time, it was so nice to spend Christmas and the New Year with my family.
I am now catching up with everyone I will pop by to see you all asap. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and hope your 2018 has got off to a great start!!

This week the challenge is

Use Patterned Paper

You may use store bought designer paper or you may choose to make your own.

We are showcasing Doodlebug Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have them we would love to see them used.

I have recently bought an  Eileen Hull Sizzix Journal Box Die, after seeing one that the super talented Anne Redfern made for one of the Monday challenges a while ago, it has been on my wish list and I finally got my hands on one, they sell out so quickly! 

I  used a Fairy Tales 12x12 paper pack  and chose to use the bright pink gingham design for the front of the notebook, adding some texture with a bubble stencil and white embossing paste. I then used Simon's Stitched Daisies Dies and Circle Loops Dies to decorate the front. 

I made a notebook and sketch pad to fit inside and added some tags for Evie to use for her upcoming trip to Disneyland Paris. Evie is my 8 yr old niece ;-)

I have to say I do love Doodlebug products, the papers are fabulous quality and the colours and designs are always gorgeous, I love how they match up the sprinkle dots with the paper packs and the cute little stickers, always adorable :-)

Simon Says: Winter Blues

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Winter Blues 
This week we are challenging you to create something with a spot of blue somewhere on your creation.

I used an Eileen Hull Sizzix Journal Box Die to make a note/travel book. 

I covered the folder with watercolor paper and then used Faded Jeans and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks, a Tim Holtz Bubble Layering Stencil, Fluted Stars Idea-ology  and a Spellbinders Seth Apter Robo Rings Die Set to decorate the cover.

I made a notebook and sketchbook for the inside, using Tim Holtz Wildlfowers 2 Die set to add a little interest.

I coloured the image with Copic Markers and then added some shading with Polychromo Pencils
